Wow, he got the part of lucius by showing his frustation at not getting lockhart, he gave himself a voice to compete with the likes of alan rickman, he demanded a costume and found a curtain for himself, he demanded a wig and found a prop for himself. Then asked for a cane. Then a wand coming out of the cane, asked for special effects to close the door behind him, asked for exit line. What a legend. Reminds me of my dad 😂

Issac's is completly unaware of the massive amount of charisma he has. I could listen to him tell these stories for hours.
I completely agree with you. The worst is that English isn't my mother tongue, so I have to rewind every twenty or thirty seconds because there's something I didn't catch, so it's a bit of a hassle, but his storytelling is so captivating and entrancing I know I could listen to him all day along.

Jason Isaacs - he has not only a great sense of humour, but he made Lucius Malfoy truly memorable.
Watching the Harry-Potter-films, I often thought that most of the actors were dressed (costumed?) like Muggles. Even the Hogwarts uniforms became more and more "Mugglish". A big praise to Isaacs and Rickman for their input there.

I thought Jason was very sexy in his long, white-blond hair in the movie. And Alan Rickman was wonderful (and sexy) in EVERYTHING he did -- from Hans Gruber in Die Hard to Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility AND as Snape in all the Harry Potter movies.
One free advice: if you like Alan Rickman never ever watch "closet land".

Jason Isaacs is such a delightful person to listen to. So interesting and really funny. I'm so glad Jason Isaacs got the role. The Malfoys would have fallen flat without him. For anyone who loves Alan Rickman, A Little Chaos is an incredible film. JKR wrote the films to cope and process the loss of her mother. Now we grieve the loss of our fallen witches and wizards. I need Hogwarts Legacy like I need air to breathe ❤

I can't believe the majority of Lucius's character and portrayal was Jason's idea! The costume, the long hair, the cane with the wand in it, the voice, Lucius's line to Harry in Dumbledore's office and then kicking Dobby. It was all Jason! It was like he knew and understood more of the character than JK Rolling and the directors did! I think that's just awesome. Really shows how passionate he was about the character and how much he's passionate about acting!

Imagine Lucius Malfoy in a muggle 3 pieces suit and short hear while hating muggles, can't? Me neither Jason Isaacs was right and created the perfect image for Lucius.

A friend of mine was living in Charleston when the Patriot was filming. She worked on the set and she said he was an absolutely delight to work with. And the ladies at Bratsonsville in Rock Hill absolutely adored him.

Jason Isaacs is very modest. He gave as well as anyone else in the HP series, but he still talks about some of the other actors, maybe they seemed a bit better known at the time, as if he were not of the same caliber. He made me “like” Lucius Malloy. He was scary in that “evil aristocrat” way. He was vey believable through Malfoy’s entire arc. I loved it. I hope that I’m mistaken, but he seems underrated. I think we should all sing his acting praises.
I’ve also been looking up everything that I can find with him in it. It’s funny how I hadn’t noticed him before and find he’s been a busy man.
Thanks for posting this, and thank to Jason Isaacs for the memories (though I still watch the movies so he isn’t just a memory). And I read the books a little more than once a year.

You can see this is a real actor. He seems to be having so much fun and enjoying himself in the whole process of making a movie. I admire actors who respect their work no matter what they do. Its so easy to see actors a little embarassed for having played in Lotr ou the hobbit, even HP. For me it would be an honor...but who knows

Much as ppl don’t like him for certain improvs you have to give him credits for the Lucius look cuz he’s absolutely right. Lucius is an aristocrat who hates muggle so he shouldn’t be in a plain suit. In the book he doesn’t have to work so it’s definitely more canon with Jason’s input
