Inglis: A Small Town in Florida

The small town of Inglis is located close to Florida's Gulf Coast, about 145 km (90 miles) north of Tampa in Levy County. This video shows scenes from the town and its environs on a May day in 2024. The town's population at the time of the 2020 US Census was 1,476, 1,343 of whom identified as White. In the 2020 Presidential election, 72.4 percent of Levy County voters voted for Donald Trump. One of Inglis's claims to fame is that Elvis Presley spent part of July and August of 1961 in the area filming some scenes for his musical comedy 'Follow That Dream.'
