Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI)

Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (airport code SAI,) located about 50 km from the city center, began operations on 16 October, 2023, replacing the city's old and more conveniently airport Siem Reap International Airport, REP. An express bus ride from the new airport to the city takes about an hour and in December 2023 cost $8; ride share services like Grab charge around $30.

nice airport but apparently there are not many flights and the airport looks a little bit empty... hope in the future they will have more flights esp flights conducted by wide-body aircrafts link siem reap with the whole world.

Very beautiful building, but I wonder why it can not accommodate the propelled planes from Bangkok Airways. As the video shows, the passengers must leave the plane onto the tarmac and then walk up the stairs to the brigde. It is as if the planers focused on the big aircrafts and not on the smaller ones comjing in every say from Bangkok. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
