- Simple and sweet Unboxing of the Eris 8" sub from PreSonus. I'm loving this product and the price point. Great addition to the Eris 5 Xt set. This should really speed up production and mixing times. I can actually hear and feel this thing, it is super clean. You could spend much more on a monitoring system.

For $199 it’s really not bad I used affirm. I’ll pay 4 payments of $57.00 no interest . Over 2 months. It is a game changer not sure how I got by without it.
I just saw this brand on Amazon while searching for monitors but I had never heard of this brand (perhaps because I am from Mexico maybe in the USA is a well-known brand) anyway I searched for reviews and I stumble upon your video, I'm going to give them a try, so thanks!

Looks like kef has more output. Honestly personal preference. I like my sub 8 it works well in a smaller room. I'm sure the kef would too though.
saw you would be willing to create a video on how to plug in your sub to the speakers and audio interface would love to see as I'm looking to purchase more or less the same audio setup for my room

have you tried the tremblor t8, how does this compared to it?
I have not... but the temblor, you are getting 200 w compared to 100 w with the eris 8. Temblor is $150 more and you also get XLR ports. They are saying there is a tighter bass response and I'm sure there is.
Specs say 113dB?? Do you see that kind of output?

I have a T8 Temblor , but i can't decrease the volume . Gain is set to minimum but still it is too loud. I know about acoustics, walls etc. Is eq the only way to achieve what i want
Hmm so your gain trim knob is turned all the way down?
The temblor is 100 more watts, prolly hits harder than mine.
How do your mixes translate are they extremely bass heavy?

@@Turbonicplague All good bro. Respect for actually taking the time to do a video. We learn everyday. I bought the Adam T10S the other day and your video popped up recently. Made me think what it would of been like if I got x2 Eris Sub 8's as it would of been the same price as a single Adam T10S. But my mains are the Yamaha HS80M and they are 8 inches and the Adam is 10 inches. If I had x2 Yamaha HS5's then I'd probably would of went with x2 Eris Subs. Keep grinding man !! 🙌🤙👊

Hell ya I enjoy it...not the loudest but still plenty loud👍 The price was the key for me. Something nice without breaking the bank too bad.

1/4 inch jacks on this sub. The temblor 8 has xlr I believe. What kind of jacks are on you monitors

I want to buy this sub, but I HATE the blue light... but like the black & white logo.
There must be a way to kill that thing.
I'm sure you could unscrew the back and rewire it. The light turns on when you turn the power switch on. Power may just pass through the light so you would just disconnect and tie those wires together.
Edifier t5 or this?
I have never used the edifier but I think the eris has a little more wattage. More wattage, more boom boom.
Hi on off itself?
Hello it's a powered sub so you have to plug it in the wall. It has an on off switch on the back that you toggle on/off. Passive will turn on and off from the source of the sound like a computer or when you shut the computer down.

i had two of these and both hummed, listen closer.
I Haven't noticed any humming. Did you try different cables? For the price I'm happy with it at least for now.
@@Turbonicplague definitely tried different leads, and in a different room. I sent the first one back ( on pass through sent hum to my Genelecs). Like wtf? Ordered a second from elsewhere. As soon as it arrived i simply plugged in the power lead turned it on and had a hum from the speaker and a buzz from the amplifier! Try turning the gain up full and minimal LPF. Maybe i was twice unlucky. Next purchase will be up a league of manufactures that i know for sure..
