This sub is for a project studio. It is not a sub for a home theatre setup. It is the size that it is and the frequency response that it is to be more "present" and not as "flattering or exaggerated" as a home theatre sub would be. The ratings are mostly coming from project studios who are using them.
You have some of the best sounding music of anyone on CZcams!!!! Congrats!!!!
Nice video. Please make a comparison between the Yamaha HS8S subwoofer and the KRK S8G4. Would be much appreciated. These are two very popular subs that have different pricepoints. We want to know which one is better and makes more sense overall.
Pulled the trigger, and bought this for a 2.1 setup. I have the 3.5 inch studio monitor right now Imight end up getting one for the living room too for 7.1 duty
Very good video bro as always!! Can you review a Polk audio HTS 12” power port technology pls or let me know what do you think cause I would like to buy it thank you GBU
Right now I am testing the ELAC sub 1010. 82 will not write all the pictures off of your wall, but at $129 it is a really good budget desktop or small room sub.
Sold, what a value!!
Well with the lighted logo you can know if it is unplugged, switched off or it has blown out you know before hand.
can it handle the bass in a rehearsal room with drums?
I have this sub paired with Eris 3.5BTs on my desktop PC and it's badass. It was money really well spent.
I would recommend to upgrade to the Eris E5. They have way way better sound. Trust me.
@@sizzle19322 the 3.5s are 2.5 feet away from my ears (yes I just measured with a tape measure) here on my PC desk. the 5s would probably melt my brain LOL.
I have Genelec 1029A´s, Presonus Eris 8´s, and just bought the Presonus E 3,5 BT´s, and I´m amazed by the E 3,5 BT´s, especially after calibrating them with SoundID Reference. Great little speakers!!!
@@DICARLOPRODUCTIONS they definitely need sound calibration, the E5/8 are way flatter and more true sounding
i prefer the 8's though, albeit the Sceptre S8's are just on another level of accurate
haven't heard the Eris Pro 8's or 8XT or Eris Studio 8s yet
but the Sceptre S8's still blow my mind how good they are even after having them for a few years now
I‘ve since upgraded my studio, and my monitors to Focal Shape Twins. They are amazing, but at 1200€ a piece they should be. I mainly use them, and my Genelec’s for mixing and mastering, but I still use my Eris 8‘s, and Eris 3.5 to check the mixes and masters to hear how they sound on consumer monitors. All are calibrated with Sound Reference.
Thanks for the video. I would love to hear how it sounds with the Presonus Eris E3.5BT Bluetooth Studio Monitors as a desk setup.
The Monoprice Premium Select 8 is surprisingly good with music also (though marketed more toward HT) in this size. I'm using it with a desk setup in my office connected to my Triangles.
I picked up a couple monolith m-10 v1 to go with my monolith mm5s. Now I need to find a cheap way to cut 60hz down off to the mm5s. I have caused them to go full Farty Mcfly a few times.
@@DDRHeretiC Dual M10s for a desktop setup, that's aggressively approved! Mine are strictly on HT duty.
Hype 10 G2 HiFi from Mivoc has the same price tag. It comes with a 10" driver and probably is the best bang for the buck SW out there. Only issue is that it hasn't HSF for speakers and only 2xRCAcas input. The rest I/O ports are for bare wire cable. They are not suitable for for little room if you don't want to turn mad even before the resonance destroy the walI And it's everything but compact. I ended up pairing the Eris Sub8 with Eris 5BT loudspeakers (they are very very ahead of 3.5/4.5 models). Couldn't be more happy with the results.
I love lights on audio products for some reason.
Keep up the good work 👏
I appreciate it
@@Kpaceguy greetings from New Zealand hope you have an awesome 2023 bro
Kpace Guy doing the dirty work for the people
I just bought this sub from your recommendation. Specs say 113dB. is that true?
It says TRS in. I have a 1/4" TS cable. I'm going to be running this from the output of a Bose S1Pro. Any downside to TS cable? Do I need to get a TRS cable?
It wouldn't hurt to have 1
You don't need one. Using a single ended 1/4" TS will only unbalance the signal. In other words it will be the same as using the RCA input. TRS is for a balance double ended connection and is supposed to yield a 3-6db higher output depending how the manufacturer has spec'd their design.
Do I need an audio interface to connect the sub to Eris 8 monitors? I’m just running 2 turntables & a mixer.
@@kobe01tcb no
@@Kpaceguy is connection from output of sub to input of monitors? Thanks, I just got the speakers and can’t figure it out.
Does the Volume simultaneously adjust when you receiver volume is adjusted?
Yes
@@Kpaceguy Thank You Sir
"You may get 25 or 26 hz in room response" You forgot to add at 50db 😀😃
How would you compare this to the same priced OSD Cylindrical Nero you also reviewed?
OSD is better. Digs deeper.
@@Kpaceguy Thank You, Love the Channel, going to buy 2 for my Master Bathroom!! Was going back and forth between the nero and these.
@@NoodlesNJ1 thank you!
@@NoodlesNJ1 hell yeah dual-sub bathroom stereo system

Hello. I have at 200 euro this or Kef 8b subwoofer. Which should i buy? i want clean musical bass, just for listening music. Thank you.
Well 200 euro won't get you anything kef lol
@@Kpaceguy I have somebody who sell a kef 8b almost new. So kef or this, regarding sound quality for music.
@@georgecovesneanu8114 kef
@@Kpaceguy ok, thanx!
Or.......get the Monoprice SW-10 for $130, 10" driver, 37lb box, 150 rms versus the puny 50 watts rms in the toy 15lb box presonus.
or the 12 inch version
can't compare the sound, due to the fact this should be far more accurate, BUT the Presonus T10/Sub10 is far better
Would you be interested in checking out the JBL S550P? I just bought it on JBL's website for $189.00 / 10" sealed, 300 watt rms, 500 watt peak, weighs 50 lbs and it's a BEAST!
You gotta for the price check it out!
I'll take a look
@@Kpaceguy They want back to $599.00 on the web - my apologies, but I did get mine last week for $189.00 / I swear!
I did the same and agree.
@@madcrabber1113 You got yours for $189.00 too?
@@Kpaceguy Back on sale on JBL site right now / $199.00 - don't miss this beast of a sub.
Thanks for the vid. However, I though you tested it, but you rather listened to it as you didn't do any measurements on the actual frequency response and how flat the unit is across the crossover frequencies..
the newer 10/older T10 is far better
Hi on off itself?
Yes
Just wondering how long it will off? After 1-2hor or more? Thanks
@@Babebabedoll 10 minutes to turn off. Half a second to turn on with a signal
The blue light will off right?
