@@DennyDiesel glad i found your channel but i have been discouraged to delete a 17 l5p because most of all tuners went full pc and say emissions compliant tunes only like ppei. really for the last few years i have been wanting to dump chevy for good after what they(duramax) did to the l5p. i spent my hard earned money on a truck that im not allowed to do anything to. thanks for the information

You forget to mention the immobilizer part with the mdi2 but that is the most informational video ive seen. I got mine done in January and that video would have answer all my question ! Keep up the awsome work !!!

Hey denny, this is Clifford Alloway and I've been watching your videos.
I have an 17 l5p with 62k miles. I'd love to keep it forever. I'm more familiar with pre emissions diesels that my father drove. I bought this and didn't realize gm lockeddown the ecm. The cost long term isn't as big if deal. I have toyed with finding a low mileage lbz or lb7 because of the cost but I'd miss the power. Id be Heartbroken if I sold it.
I'm totally satisfied with the power and mpg. I would delete to get the egr emissions off from harming the engine long term. They say it's not as bad as older models, but I'm not convinced. Still cant be good. Have you heard if they are better?
I dont know how to do it right for longterm reliability. Dont want more power. Do I need tcm tuning? Do I need wherli fab parts for reliable daily driving.? For my goals do I need more than one tune. Is hp tuners, same day tuning, or motor ops better for my goals? Maybe there is a better company?
Here is one I looked at. What are your thoughts?

Hey bud I’m t&d and struggling with a p1089 code , only pops up when I hammer the throttle , if I drive it easy it’ll never throw a code . Any info helps . It did pop up before t&d as well . Replaced pressure sensor and connector
so my 2023 is virgin. How do What are the steps to start tuning it, or what are the steps or changes that now consider your truck now tuned. Of course keeping it in compliance no deleting at the moment

What are the credits like what is it and what does it do ?
Is it smart to tune the engine when you can’t yet tune the transmission (10 speed) to match? I wasn’t sure if you’d damage the transmission?...

I know time will tell but how well will the transmission hold up with the trans tuning while not abusing the truck?
If you’re not on the max tune and not beating the hell out of it it will last just as long if it the truck were totally stock. Now the 10 speed that’s a different story. There still to new to tell

Do you recommend replacing the up pipes?
I did up pipes on mine 2018. You will end up breaking the bolts out of the manifolds. I ended up putting on ppe race manifolds so it was not a problem for me but to pull them off just to extract broken bolts is a pain! You can get some arp bolts from werhli fab if you end up putting up pipes on.
When i changed from motor ops to ppei i had to get 10 new credits

Danny, have you seen where DSX is now offering an unlocked ecm for a grand and some change. Or a stock ecm to send in as a core for under 500.00 wondering if that option might save a grand or so.

@@DennyDiesel So let me comprehend the current price, roughly 640.00 for ecm swap. 350.00 for OBD2 port device, 400 in credits, and ??? for a tune? I don't have insta so I don't really know how to contact you, but I'm planning to do this myself. I've got the hard parts figured out, just trying to grasp your current numbers.

So is this emissions compliant? And is this "le gel" (so it won't get flagged and looked at). I was under the impression you can only delete L5P if they are strictly off-road vehicles. Sorry if this isn't the best way to ask but I was wondering the repercussions if I delete my 2019
