Your reaction is the same as mine when I first read the series. The leveling up, bit by bit amd the mystery behind the system kept me on the edge of my seats.
The story gets more intense as you read more. Next 3/4 episodes are gonna be hardcore! I'm already having goosebumps thinking about those episodes 😭

Just small different changes info from manhwa to anime if you are interested flexie: 1. The two guys in the beginning when checking out jin woo, kang tae-shik(dark hair) wasnt with woo jin-chul. He appears later on.
2. Sung jin woo was found laying on the alter instead of on the ground by a guild
3. Jin woo spent less time in the hospital, he went into the dungeon with 16 strength(and 3 AP leftover) in the manhwa instead of 31 strength in the anime.
4. The fight with the goblin while fighting with his dagger was completely added in. The fight with the lycan wolf is cannon though
Also, Joohee getting that call and coming to see Jinwoo is added. Only the nurses talking is canon.
And the whole Jinwoo flashback.
And Cha talking with Choi, the Hunters Guildmaster.
(And I liked when the Association suits were talking about his low mana score and said he was little more than a civil. in the manhwa they were much harsher, said trash would always be trash. Good change there.)
But i must say, I like these changes, we get to see more background of all characters and fill some holes in the story. Hope they keep this up.
The anime is following the Novel more than the Manhwa. So there will be things that look 'added' but are canon.

They switched it up this time. Instead of some weak guy getting unalived and transported to a game world/dimension, this guy gets almost unalived and the game imposes itself on reality through him. They paid homage to AOT, One Punch Man, Pacific Rim, Arifureta, and probably a lot more anime and movies in this one.
Also that penalty. Confucius say, "Man who fail to do push-up learn to run very fast."
I really like it, a hero who wasn't gifted with strength, working hard/grinding to get stronger, bit by bit

Not a record. There is a whole genre called 'isekai' in which the MC dies more often then not in the first episode :D Favourit cause of death: run over by a truck.
There is even an isekai in which the truck is the MC :D :D :D
In a time were we have so many shows were the protagonist is already overpowered from day one, its really good to see a show, that does Power Progression and character building well.
Even better, that Solo leveling manages to keep up the quality until the very end AND that the Anime respects its manwha version, while also building some elements on top of it - something were Crunchyroll adaptations have missed the mark often enough in the past.
Btw, I absolutely dont mind the pausing every now and then, its really endearing how hyped and excited you are for this series :3

I don't know how you guys can wait for a week. Thank God I have read the manhwa. I personally love the extra stuff they put in the anime, still hoping the fights in the anime will be as good or even better than in the manhwa. Please don't drop this anime, love your reactions
The second awakening should only level you up 1 rank so from E to D or A to S etc. But he is the main character so his second awakening is in a way special, but I don't think the anime will explain it until the second season
I would advice against reading the manhwa if you haven't already. The anime is doing a stellar job at presenting the story so far and you should stick to it imo. Great reaction btw 😊

Honestly, I think pausing is preferable if there is something you want to say and it's not super short. It also probably helps with copyright issues.
It's definitely much better than talking over the show for extended periods of time. So keep pausing to discuss things. It's preferable.

I enjoyed the Light Novel a bit more than the Manhwa and I think so far they are doing a pretty good job with the series. Unfortunately in my case knowing what's going to happen ruins the experience a little but I am still happy to see the adaptation.

For anyone that's confused by this episode lm not going to spoil anything don't worry let me explain how the MCs power works now sung jin woo is not in a game the menu that you saw that pops up in front of him only he can see it no one in his world can see it but only him The System is that menu that you saw now this is how it workes like a video game and provided Jinwoo with system quests that offered unique rewards, a leveling system with different skills and stats, an unlimited inventory that Jinwoo could store all sorts of magical items in, and even an in-built store offering items for the in-game gold currency that Jinwoo With the majority of the series' events having significance to the regular world and not what's beyond the Gates, Solo Leveling is not necessarily an isekai, even though it does wind up exploringa lot of the significance of the beyond in relation to the main character specifically now if I'm correct his first glow up will probably start at episode 4 or 5 that's if they can manage to squeeze in 5 chapters from the manhwa
I think the cliffhanger is in the wrong scene...it should beafter he kill this wolf..totally miss an epic clifhanger

Uh I really want to look up the characters names so I can learn them and how to properly pronounce but as a reactor I try to not look anything up at all so my reactions are authentic. You never know when a spoiler is going to pop up on the web while doing an innocent name search lol! So I appreciate your comment!
@@FlexiejayAnime it's cool, not much as just a general familiarity. koreans names mostly common known has two syllables and reraly a single syllable name, and keep in mind koreans loves word games with syllables similar like we english speakers use as poetry or modern day rap.
This is why I stopped watching currently airing anime, waiting a full week is too much.
