    Gotta love the fact you legit have a little ecosystem going and you tear it all down and reset it. I have tanks going for years and let the organism due what they want in there to make it their own home.

    Hi Mr. Mark! I’ve been around for a bit but I don’t think I’ve commented. Maybe only like once before I think. Anyway, I’m so very excited for you on your new channel and I sure do wish you luck with it. You’re seriously one of the nicest guys I watch on here so I’m certainly going to give you a subscribe over there too but if I don’t interact over there I hope you’ll understand 💜

    I've subscribed to your Landrover page Mark , my dad used to build them at the landrover plant in Bham, he was there for years and was quite disgusted when they ended production of the old Army type landrover,he died in 2015 so when I see a Landrover old or new there is part of my dad in it ☺

    i have a problem with black weed on both fresh water planted tanks, the 120x40x50 is empty for half a year, the 40x40x40 is up but everything is infested with the black weed, i tried a few things, i even bought a filter with UV ligh but they growth as if i've not have the UV light, so for some time i've lost my will for it, maybe i need to return to cichlids, they eat the problem.

    Looks amazing now mark. Can I ask. The red anemone which you having growing in your native tank I believe several people are selling them on eBay. Would they be suitable for my fluval evo or not as I would be keeping it at a higher temperature and unsure if they will effect anything. Also got my first pair of clown fish in today and all thanks to you and your channel. Good luck with your new channel I will pop over and have a look. Thanks for your informative and entertaining videos please keep them coming x

    • @MARKSAQUATICS
      @MARKSAQUATICS  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Tim. The Anemones you see people selling on ebay are taken from our coastline and will not survive in a reef aquarium. Bubble tip Anemones are the best for clown fish.

    mark I have a question if I were to start a local saltwater aquarium and use the water from the location im trying to impersonate and use the area for my water changes would that work and what other gadgets would I need after that im a first time saltwater tank owner

      Hi. If you go to my playlists you'll can watch the series on this aquarium and how it all came together.

    • @coviegirl
      @coviegirl Před 3 lety +1

      My opinion: local rockpools at the low tideline level are given a water change twice every day. To emulate this would be ideal but probably not practical. There are high beach rockpools that are replenished at every high spring tide. I think that it depends on what you want to keep, where you are in relation to the coast, and your enthusiasm for your indoor rockpool. There's so much more to say about this, but this is what immediately comes to mind for me. Good luck!

    • @seangriffiths9163
      @seangriffiths9163 Před 3 lety

      Using local water can bring in more pests or unwanted chemicals and nitrates then using clean salt water. But still can be done.
