What’s going on guys, today we’re gonna be explaining every American quirk that’s appeared in My Hero Academia. Despite the series rarely leaving Japan, the US has been referred to as the home of heroes by Horikshi himself in volume 14 and by All For One in one of the recent chapters. The reason for this is that America was the first country to introduce an official hero licensing system, which is a system that every other country adopted over the following decades.the first power on this list belongs to Star and Stripe who was introduced as the number 1 American hero and visually speaking she looks like All Might’s secret love child from the time he spent in the US. In chapter 330 the name of her quirk was revealed to be ‘New Order’ and it gives her the potential to rewrite reality, by touching something and then calling out it’s name. Once the correct name has been said, Star can make up a rule of her choice that the target has to follow, with an example being how she touched the air itself and made a rule that the atmosphere would no longer exist 100 metres infront of her. By saying those words her quirk caused the air to instantly disappear in the area she specified, creating a vacuum where no one would be able to breathe. Next up we have Christopher Skyline aka Captain Celebrity, who was the former top hero in the US before his hero licence got revoked. While he did eventually get the licence back many many months later, it was never stated where he ended up in the hero rankings after this, but needless to say he lost his number 1 position. Just like Star and Stripe his quirk has a lot of layers to it; so I guess the first thing to mention is that he has an invisible barrier covering his body at all times, that protects him from physical attacks and extreme temperatures. The barrier has been shown to be incredibly strong on a few different occasions, like the time he withstood multiple explosions directly on his body whilst holding up the Tokyo sky egg with his bare hands. By touching other people the barrier can also be extended to them, but the drawback is that the more people Captain Celebrity decides to protect, the less effective the barrier is at protecting him. During chapter 53 of Vigilantes he showed that it’s possible to transfer 100% of the barrier to another person if he wants to, as long as he maintain physical contact. Besides that his FLIGHT quirk gives him the ability to fly around at ridiculously fast speeds which is a totally separate thing from the barrier, as he specified the barrier around his body is not what propels him to fly. In addition flight he has super strength that’s probably equal if not greater than Star and Stripe’s, with his feats including the incident I mentioned earlier where he held up the sky egg, as well as another time when he lifted an entire cruise ship out of the water. Pony Tsunotori from class 1B. According to her character page she’s a Japanese-American student that came over from the US, which explains why Monoma was able to trick her into saying things, cause her understanding of Japanese isn’t as advanced as the natural born students. Pony’s quirk is an interesting one called Horn canon, and as the name implies it allows her to shoot out horns from her head that immediately grow back. Because of this she can send out a flurry of horns to overwhelm opponents but the real advantage of her power comes from her telekinesis. Using her mind Pony can control up to four horns simultaneously enabling them move through the air however she wants.

The thing is Star could've been extremely lucky wth her quirk. I mean with Izuku being quirkless when his mother has telekinesis and his dad supposedly having fire ablities it would show how somethimes you need to get lucky with a quirk. The best example would be with AFO and the First User. AFO has one of the best quirks of all time yet his brother had the ability to pass his quirk and the only the part of passing his quirk down. The quirks are similar as they both have to ability to technically move quirks but the brother has the weakest possible version.

I like how Horikoshi tryed to explain their powers at the start like having Bakugo swat nitroglycerin to make explosions but than clearly said fck it at some point.

@@homura7943 it’s pretty much a psychic ability now, his ap shot is him condensing his explosion by forming a tube shape with one hand and using the other to shoot explosion out of it, somehow it allowed him to shoot exploding fire balls but that’s still acceptable. After the endeavor internship, he learned to condense his explosion, making it look like rocket exhaust and use ap shot without putting both hand together. I feel like the nature of his quirk is really inconsistent

Nah you gotta remember that vigilantes is like 7+ years before MHA. Plus she seems quite young, so she could’ve joined the hero game like 3-4 years ago and skyrocketed to number 1 in that time or something.

New order could easily become an apocalyptic level quirk if Star stops holding back with it.
Just give her a physics book or an anatomical guide and she could for example cause the iron content of a persons blood to become heavier effectively causing instant Hypotension and sending the target into an anemic coma

Ah My Hero, a world where people have a chance to get abilities that make them god or abilities that are just weird fingers.
If AFO gets her quirk, he will use it to restore himself.
He will have shigaraki give it to him, he will slap his wrist, say his name and say “I was never injured by all might”.
And with that, he will be restored to his full power!!!!!
I guess but it would be like star and stripes super strength since only two rules at a time can be active. It also depends on if there are more limits to her quirk cause she said that her strength isn't as strong as all mights so there has to be limits, so it might not be able to manipulate damage done from like 7 years ago. Just a thought

Nah I think the main goal with this quirk would be to make a rule that OFA can now be taken from its host, which wasn't possible earlier. That's why he says that this quirk can change the battles tide.
What if AFO said" my injury is a mask" and then he would be able to take his face off revealing his old face or a whole new face.

So, important thing to note about New Order.
She doesn't need to know the "legal" name of things, just what the living entity recognizes itself as.
In the case of Shigaraki, it was actually because of All for One that he wasn't able to be affected. Because AFO was trying to take over his body, Shigaraki wasn't totally himself, meaning that New Order couldn't properly recognize him.

People are welcome to discuss in the comments below, but you are going to have a hard time convincing me that a reality manipulation based quirk is not the strongest beyond perhaps a quirk like All For One which could technically obtain it for themselves.
It's probably surpassed by OFA's pure stats, since reality bending doesn't protect from speed blitzing. But it's definitely number 3

I still feel like Deku's mom's quirk would be named attract/attraction since she can attract objects towards her, and what I believe too is that if Deku actually got a combination quirk from his parents or would be flame control solve his dad breathes fire and his mom has some sort of telekinesis
There are multiple possible power combo between limited telekinesis and fire-breathing
- Plasma projection or manipulation
- Pirokinesis
- Limited Energy construct
- Lazer beam from mouth
- Heat wave through voice
- Etc.

I'm extremely interested to see how he develops S&S quirk, you can easily write yourself into a hole by giving someone reality manipulation abilities. She can only implement 2 rules at a time, but her quirk works off of vocals and intent. What if her first rule is "I now have the power to impose as many rules as I want"? It can become a monkey's paw/Genie's wish scenario very easily.

You know Stars and Stripes reminds me of homelander because of the costume. I do like the underrated heroes despite they don't make a appearance very often.
Still always annoyed that captain celebrity’s flight & shield ability isn’t connected. Because he comes from the vigilantes spin-off/story which heavily emphasizes the fact that quirks evolve & change/have byproducts. Like main character koichi’s slide & glide evolves into basically lasers from his hand. So you would think flight is a byproduct of the shields but maybe there’s some third option we don’t know of yet that produces both the shield and the flight
Who gave you this information? You are so 100% wrong. Captain Celebrity's quirk is a Telekinesis Bubble, that he 'wears' and only allows him to fly by literally lifting himself. His "shield" is just his telekinesis. The only evolution he had was being able to put it on OTHER people. That's it. And Lasers???
Who on earth told you he could shoot lasers? They stated multiple times that he's literally just palming air and REPELLING it. The same way he repels the ground, or a wall. His quirk was explained extremely clearly. His hands create a vacuum of repelling and suction air, so he can both cling and slide. You slow people always try to make up headcanons for everything.

-Australia: busy fighting off the animals mainly the emus
-Antarctica: there’s something there with the creation of heat quirks
(This was more satire but the more “famous heros” ore memorable ones are like this)

Personally I think Star & Stripes' name limitation depends on how the person perceives themself. The reason I think her quirk didn't work on Shigaraki was because of the whole possession thing; with his and AfO's personalities getting merged, it's possible that Shigaraki didn't really know who he was at that point.
I'm working on a My Hero fan fiction and I did make a reference on a hero from the states.
He's a hero that uses fear on villains with his bat quirk.

Well since Tomura Shigaraki real name is Tenko Shimura it will not work.
Slight thing you might wanna correct. It's not based on full legal names, just identity. Shigaraki being Tenko Shimura is likely a known fact by now, so her using the name AFO gave him implies that it's identity based. Shigaraki himself isn't thinking of himself as Shigaraki, that's why the quirk failed.
I would love to see like a Spider-Man Type of Spider webs Quirk Interntional Hero, and also a Technopath Quirk the can Manipulate all kinds of Technology Hero, or Metal Manipulation Quirk Hero, or a Bone Manipulation Quirk Hero, or a Size Shrinking Quirk Hero, or also a Weather Manipulation Quirk Hero, or lastly a Diamonds or Jewels or any or of Gem Manipulation Quirk!

What? It obviously depends on both his strength and the weight of the material.
Ex:
He can carry such a heavy material only because he is strong AND he can carry that heavy material only because the heavy material is not heavy compared to him. He can carry it because he's strong.
If he wasn't strong, then he couldn't have held that ship.
If the ship wasn't light compared to his strength, then he wouldn't've been able to carry it.

I want to see what star decides to do in the split second she has, so her quirk isn't stole. IDK if she knows about Midoria or All Might's full name but if she does, she might be able to make one of them inherit her quirk. The other option is to say her own name and either kill herself right then or delete her own quirk from existence.
Also, would be cool if the #2 order was her younger sister who, instead of New Order, she has Old Order. Simply, since New Order affects space, Old Order kind of affects time in a way. Locking people in time, you could hit people with a 100 years of your own power and existential sort of things like that. Or she could make a rule to gift her sister her own quirk.
