The question is whether or not I should slam my MGB? In the mean time, I take it to an evening car meet with a musical Ferrari Testarossa, some classic Cosworths and some colourful JDM legends.

bit of a dick move by the amg overtaking the testilicker stealing his attention, and the mgb like most cars good fitment wheels and a 2" drop it would be very cool,a K20 swap would be the cherry on top, defo sort them lever arm
shocks for faster paced track days as we can't condone fast road use
I agree the AMG pulled a right dick move !
Came to say that!
@@Jimbos_a_Zed same
Ferrari should have nailed it and kept the idiot on the wrong side of the road
To me if you slam it, it will loose it’s ”legendary” and ”rare” look. And it looks way better in stock. You should tune your 350z
Amen !
I'm not throwing money at my 350z. It's a daily.
Plus my MGB isn't rare, there are lots of them
@@AdamC3046 slam it
@@AdamC3046 Exactly . Love the stance at 3:52 Adam . Body colour (or Bronze ) steels with 'baldy' ' 'baby Moons' and polished trim/beauty rings . Or perforated Dunlop-style alloys with knock-off spinners .
@@AdamC3046 super charge it 😅
Yes Slam It! And Nice Car!
Naughty but nice at 11:35.
At first I thought no, leave the B alone. Then, why not. Done tastefully the MG would attract attention, for the right reasons.
It's definitely a different idea for the MGB, but it's a nice looking car as it is. If you do decide to do anything like that, I wouldn't go too over the top with it👍
Do it! Ive been working on a stanced classic car project for years now 😎and its been quite the journey that i'd never take back. Make it your own because in the end thats what matters. Forget resale value and trying to make it stock its the memories and the beauty of creating something unique that's one of one because you made it!😀
Great video, nice to hear my testarossa from outside. The E30 M3s are also mine
Not sure it needs lowering more being a Chrome bumper car, but it could certainly do with some nice new wheels. If it were me, I'd use 15" Minilites. If you're tempted to fill the rear arches with fatter rubber, get a panhard rod to stop the axle moving & giving you tyre rub. Upgrade the front ARB to a 3/4"
Good shout, minilites look really good on most British classics
I agree with the Panhard rod! I put slightly wider 185 tires on my MGB GT, and on a TSD rally the rear tires were rubbing like crazy. (Because the axle was floating around like a turd in a punch bowl)
Minilites are horrid on anything other than a Mini.
@@AdamC3046 oh lol, I see what your saying, they are quite a small wheel so suit small minis much better.
Hi Adam, lovely mg great video, you’re awesome, just enjoy the car,it looks amazing, love from wales xx
that render with the starsharks looks so sick!
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🎬Alex France🍻🍀🙏🌌
Absolutely love that little red B, always wanted one. You'll be upsetting the purists if you lower it....so go right ahead 😂 Top content as per usual Adam 👍
That ending, cars racing off to the sunset 👌
Suspension first, wire-tuck second, that thing is nearly perfect.
Mister Two! ♡
I get to drive an orange MGB to a giant british car show over in canada, looking forward to that!
Good day Adam the green rendering with a sticker fender and a deep dish rim would look insane go for it!
The render with the star sharks looks epic!
Keep it standard man👍👍 The moment you play with it..that's when it goes from Classic To Trash it...Standard all the way👍👍👍
Yes! Just a mild drop not slammed. And wheels. That's all you'd need. Love the car!
I like the Purple with the Cobra dots and then maybe some period racing wheels too?
If it were me, I'd leave the wheels as they look great. You could probably lower it a bit. It kind of works on VW Beetles (the kind of cars I'm into but I do appreciate a great car like your MGB), where they're slightly lowered and still on steels with hubcaps.
I’m enjoying the Ford content Adam!
Def. get some nice wheels and a subtle drop. Wouldn’t be a hard thing to revert back if you want, and it will def change the look completely.
I love the purple one
The only way to fix rust is to cut it out, you've been done over here for 6k
The render you did with it just dropped with some wheels looked perfect 😍 why not start with that? Could always do more after 👍
That render is all I'm currently looking to do. The other renders were just bits of fun from years ago
Thought about watanabe wheels? They should make your size. That pcd is the same as my s13. You have so many options. Maybe look at longchamps or some ssr meshes?
Where did u find the meet advertised because my dad used to host them at the same spot and I was told it was happening again but not when
Keep the MGB classy and subtle. Address any minor flaws in the bodywork and paint
Maybe lower it slightly and include some modern suspension mods, don't forget the brakes. Fill the wheel wells out with wider chrome wires and appropriate tyres. Perhaps increase the diameter of the wheels and use 60 or 65 series tyres. Supercharge the engine for some extra oomph. That's all she needs in my very humble and respectful opinion.
Good luck with her Adam.
Would it help abit if you but a strut bar on the front shocks just to take out the softness.
But it on air! Practical and cool!
Put*
Great vlog Adam and maybe you should leave your mg as it is. 🏎🏎🏎
Deeper front valance, 16 inch image Minilite split rims and ducktail rear spoiler. Then a sensible suspension drop. Simple but effective and easy to return to stock..
Don't like Minilites, not a fan of spoilers on MGBs and I don't want a front valance
So, no, no and no (and maybe) 😂
Lowering blocks in the rear and some lowering springs in the front would do it. I'm doing something in the same style to my mk4 Escort, already has blastpipes, lowered 40mm and needs some 13" Watanabes.
Do it mate I think it's cool to follow up ideas you had back then.
Get it slammed👇
Lowering a BGT is just a matter of visiting a decent MG specialist (like Brown and Gammons) and select the lowered suspension package that suits your preference. They should even be able to sort out a telescopic shock absorber conversion to do away with the lever arms. All bolt in stuff and therefore totally reversible.
I was literally just thinking about slammed mgs when you uploaded 😂
Air suspension and new wheels. Job done 👍
My mom is against air suspension 😂
**Every Retards build in 2022**
I said no air
Worx equip 01 would look amazing on that and close in style to your stock wheels
I don't want to be close in style to my stock wheels. Otherwise I'd just keep my stock wheels.
Take it to SJS classic automotive services for a proper restoration. Steve is an MG specialist, produces some lovely cars.
Lowered and wheels is the way to go. All reversible too (not that you’d want to) 👍
I think a nice little drop on some period correct jdm wheels would pe just perfect 👌
I can understand wanting an opinion, but its your car and ultimately the community is about expressing yourself however you want. Go subtle, or go wild and put it on air, no one can stop you!
Lows with Japanese wheels and maybe a roundel would look awesome and still be clean 👌
Yes
Yes
I wonder if you could fit a JZ in there to go with the jdm wheels....
If you like the standard wheel look you could probably have the standard wheels banded providing they are steel. That way it would retain its look but they would fill the arches
The point is not to keep a standard look. The point is to stand out from the crowd of standard MGBs
Feel like would look cool if you went a classic route. I’m talking fog lights mudguards sorta a rally/world traveler spec. But if you really want to go tuner I’d go all out race car.
The Mgb allways sits too low at the back making the front end stick up so you may just get away with lowering the front to level it up 😄
4 Lug Honda prelude wheels fit as well
The Shock are lever shocks probably need oil put in them
You can buy a aftermarket gas shock install kit so you will have both counter lever and gas shocks which is what I run on mine
I also run a inch and a quarter sway bar on the front
But I am running a 6.6 L SBC Engine , so here is a lot of weight on the front end
I like the first red render, I think that would look good on the car, and btw the Aventador is an Ultimae, not an S
Lower it on a set of banded rostyles?
I like the purple picture it was different to the other two
Rock the boat
Who did the paint job you've be done over
Always luv'd my Corgi MGB back in the day , if you did do anything make it mild , if it was a strong chassis minger go mad with it..
hello AdamC
Subtle Mods like you said lower it n wheels get some lowering blocks for rear 🤩✌
Keep the stock height and personally if you want Japanese wheels a pair of Watanabes(same wheels the 240 use) would look classy but also have that jdm vibe
Probably needs swaybar to get rid of the swaying and nose diving. And stiff shocks.
a good stance and some watanabe wheels would suit the mg very well
It is so nice to see the old girl back something you don’t see every day is the mustang super snake 750 hp traffic lights and a petrol station what could possibly go wrong star of the show has to go to the TR Absolutely stunning
I would lower it and put some dunlop style racing wheels like the mgb le 50 and torpedo wing mirrors
Get another set of rostilles and band them a couple of inches, OEM+ would look good
There's an abundance of MGB's and because of this I would say its yours so go ahead. On the other hand, do consider that it's a fine example as is and could become more valuable as time goes on if rarity increases
i think that purple one would be nice but it is a pretty car as it is though
where did you think about that green one from😂
Your shocks will be low on oil probably. If they are the original lever arm type, you can just refill them with engine oil.
I think the MGB could go for some low (lower it), different wheels w/tire writing, yellow headlights and maybe a sticker showcase (or stickerbombed) fender (why not 🤣). What do you think? Simple, yet different.
Nice looking car, especially with the hard top.. You need to take it up with your restorer, after spending all that money, i would not be happy.
Suggest my body shop, Bells Autos in Four Marks Hants, despite them being the best Skyline experts in the country, their body shop is amazing.
A full respray on my R34 5 years ago, and some recent body repairs and re-paint on my MG Maestro Turbo, all of which are absolutely fantastic, His attention to detail is amazing.
Would recommend Bells to anyone.
You should turn it in to the MG B Sebring
My neighbor is gifting me a 27k mile original mgb... this is inspirational (it'll likely remain a survivor though)
Don't spoil it Adam, keep it as standard as possible, it's worth a lot more the more standard it is!!! 👍🙂👍
Car ownership is not all about their monetary value.
@@AdamC3046 that's true but some cars look better when they are just left the way they were meant to be 🙂
Proper fitment is not a cli-che it's perfectly Acceptibla and with little impact can change the whole feel of the car
Be different, I always fancied a green one with red recaros and some cool work equipe wheels but thats me
Personally I’d keep it the way it is.
If I had one if probably swap a triumph 2.0/2.5 I6 into one though to give a bit more grunt. Or at least put a nice carb on.
A slight drop would look great, but slamming it wouldn’t look right.
Get it bagged on jdm split rims 🤩🤣👌
They shafted you on that job IMO.
LONGCHAMPS
I think you should make a mini-muscle car by swapping in a Rover 3.5 or 3.9 V8 and have a five speed and make it into a little track weapon or make it a nice cruiser with airbags and change the wheels
I'm not swapping my engine. I rebuilt it.
Mercedes over took the Ferrari because he wanted to prove his pee pee was longer
I was thinking that, what a wanker😂
I think your car looks pretty good as it is, although if it was lowered just slightly would be fine.
Lowering your car seems like a great idea 🔥🔥
Bc coilovers and yellow headlights
How about some old faithful watanabes. 14x7 or 8
Do the exact same as the last render along with the front valance and just leave it as that, everything is reversible then if one gets a change of heart.
I would take (if it's possible) another one to modify...just keep the classic one
Would be something a bit different and quite unique!
Hey Adam, maybe you could get one of those new MGs? I can't believe they're still making cars after all these years 😊
ps: this was a joke lol 😂😂
Te37s on the mgb
Or ssr longchamps
Wouldn’t look very time correct, some small work equips would look nice
@@elliottatkinson9734 longchamps would look great regardless. Not all things have to be period to be cool lol
@@subiesteve7770 yeh they would, just feel like equips would suit the car more as it would most likely only be wheels and coilovers
Front chin spoiler, gloss black jbw minilights, remove bumper over riders, change fish mouth grill to honeycomb grill and power bulge bonnet maybe some lucas square driving lights that's kind of enough
None of that is appealing to me😅
Rep wheels with wider and low profile tires and a mild drop. Keep the stock look but add some attitude. And roll the guards out a bit.
how bout n coilover
It would look nice de-bumpering it and caging it, almost like it's ready to race
I'm not de-bumpering after spending £££ on bumpers
what happened in 2020 at west meon pub meet?
Covid. It was pretty worldwide.
oh haha clearly ive been living under a rock for the past 2 years
Lower. Banded steelies. Wide arches
Simple awnser yes
6k and rusting already plus added runs, I restore cars by trade, if it is bubbling it's been bogged, and obviously they didn't remove the rust . Take it back and kick off. My work has at least 5 yr warranty
I think low it new wheels and hid the engine wires by making and tin cover and spray it say colour as the car that would look my tiddy or do a engine swop to updated 1.2 or a 1.6
Upgrade my 1.8 to a 1.2 or 1.6?
Mild drop and banded Rostyles I reckon.
