Middleshire definitely should have been the top city! Especially since you come from the U.S. and you decide to build a city that is inspired by England and on top of that left-hand traffic! Middleshire is amazing!

All I see with his city is just a tangled mass of redundant streets and highways, it looks like someone sprayed a can of silly string made of concrete onto a map then put buildings in the unoccupied parts...

@@csbrooksI suggest taking a look at his videos and not judging it based off the click glances it shows on this. Specifically how he plays and designs his curved roads and interchanges and decorates the city since its vanilla. He also makes terraforming look like an art

Cities: Skylines is like this generation's version of model trains. These are incredible builds.
There is a part of the modding community that focuses on trains and have made thousands of assets for the model train community. Cities is a great virtual diorama if you are into model trains. Not my thing, but I think it's awesome that it's a thing.

For sure. His Altengrad build is nothing short of amazing. He makes the best use of procedural objects I've seen so far.
Akruas is the goat for modded cities content and storytelling. Aurelia, Asturis, and Altengrad are each masterpieces.

This wasn't long enough. I could watch these cities for hours. More please! Makes me think about my wish that one day we could somehow visit each other's cities as tourists.
MY TOP CS CREATORS:
I admire IMPERATUR for his layering capabilities particularly his terraforming techniques and his creative ways of using the native assets into interesting ones.
Overcharged Egg's ILOS was a testament, with careful planning and correct blocking you can showcase certain parts of a city.
Cityplanner Plays was different. I enjoy his storytelling, and his tips and tricks.
AURIDON, is a topnotch fewcandy's creation. It inspires me to build a city with character and personality.
ASTURIS was incredible, the epitome of heavily modded city, to the point I couldn't recreate any space from his build. I enjoy how he challenged himself to create a trademark truly of his own.
PHTN Gamings' NISHIMACHI was I jealous about. I love JAPAN. His patience on detailing every space was terrific. What draws my attention was the trains and interchanges...
I was expecting BIFFA, Captain Ahvious, Infracturist, Conflict Nerd and the narrator itself...to showcase their works...
I really hope I can showcase mine, hopefully I could have a computer that meets the requirements of the game.

So happy to see Akruas get his recognition, if anything, I'd put both his cities here, as Altengrad is such an incredible and unique build, taking into account real life and history of Eastern Europe.
My honourable mentions from the ommisions on the list:
Jeremy Thunder's Carribbean build - Scylla Republic, which unfortunately is no longer running ever since one of the updates broke it.
Infrastructurist's Coniferia - for the realistic and extremely pleasant to watch build.
Also I was happy to see creators that I watch for a long time here - Ilos and Auridon are both amazing builds!
I'm a simple ace combat fan. I see the space elevator on the thumbnail; i like immediately

I’m happy to see Asturis, Ilos, Auridon, and Verde Beach here, as it means I’ve got good taste in the cities I’ve been paying attention to. And. Nice range too, from “you could build this yourself on a console if you’re good enough” up through “I’m using Procedural Objects to turn Cities:Skylines into Blender.” Now I have more to check out. I am VERY curious about that Pittsburg recreation as I have been there many times and recognized it immediately.
Some of my favourite series being featured absolutely made my day. Well done to every creator highlighted, can't wait to see what this year will bring

Thank you so much Mariina Hallikainen for announcing cities skylines 2. I got feeling this game is gonna be the game I dreamt 2010. You brought us 8 years of healing by releasing cities skylines 1. If cities skylines 2 gonna be release later 2023 for example december then that's extra few more time of healing from what we been through before 2015. We players talked about cities skylines 2 years ago and I believe it wasn't time yet because we need more years of healing so we can see what's in the future. If cities skylines 2 has everything we want in it then that be miracle because we waited so long for true successor to simcity 4. If you give us more time to wait we be happy to accept it. We all trust you very well and we will keep following you. If it's gonna have seasons, weather and natural disasters I hope it'll have on off feature so I can build my city having 12 months of summer and avoid thunderstorm popping up miles off from my city depend on my map and become severe with large hail and tornado before hit my city and kill my civilians. But there is one thing you left out and that would boost up more popularity which is in announce trailer is here you are visionary, you are the creator, you make cities, and you make city building game great again. Make city building game great again is what was left out but I gotta feeling this is game we waited for long time. We all love you @Mariina Hallikainen
