    You don’t need to buy a new break cue, I can do like that break shot with a house cue !! It’s all about the break technique and stroke. A regular break cue with hard tip is good enough.

    If you look at pro breaks not everyone use their full power but the break is still good and the rack is spread that's because of the tv tournament table cloth if the cloth is good the balls will go everywhere if the cloth is old and slow then the balls with not spread that nice and you'll need more power

    I have this break cue and love it. I did however change to a Kamui Sai break tip and it made cue ball control so much better

      I was just about to suggest changing the tip as well. I have the wrapless BRKR and changed the terrible phenolic tip to a Taom 2.0 and have so much more cue ball control with it.

      Thanks guys! Any experience with hard leather tips? I have a friend that is suggesting a samsara.

      @@islamway962 ditch the samsara, and go for taom! I tried both. Huge difference!

    It depends... I've never met a Cue, that could teach me anything. I too have a special Break Cue, but it hasn't taught me SQUAT. But using it, while practicing with my BreakRAK, has taught me how to Break, which is now allowing me to Run Racks....

    Thanks for sharing your journey to a better break. If you go back to the old break cue you had shown in the beginning session, are you breaking better with it now? Or is it still the same old?

    • @PoolProblems
      @PoolProblems  Před rokem +1

      It's better, but not as good as with the carbon fibre. Especially when I try to generate a lot of force, I tend to lose control more often with the old one. I also like the slickness of the carbon fibre better, now that I'm used to it compared to wood. I'm now officially all carbon (playing cue, break cue, jump cue). Thanks for the comment!

    damn! now you're making me want to make a bad financial decision to get a carbon break cue! :P

    Breaking good is honestly with technique but I say if you're a bit of a weaker breaker than get a break cue with some weight like maybe 25 ounce or around there so you can break good with little power. But for me personally the Mezz break cue is probably the best it breaks with little to know effort and a guy that has one even has said the same thing

    • @PoolProblems
      @PoolProblems  Před 7 měsíci

      Well said - I've tried different weights, and I definitely break better with lighter cues (sub 19oz). Yes, heavier weight can potentially increase power through increased "work" (physics concept), but it also reduces "time" (also physics concept). So it evens out. IMO the wrist popping becomes more difficult and uncontrolled with a heavier cue, and I think that's why most good breakers tend to use lighter break cues.
