    You sound so happy!!! This is a very different attitude than the last videos we've gotten. Congrats and see you soon as a fellow SJSMer.

    Many people swear by Swanson's Family Medicine Review as their go-to review book. For the Step Up To Medicine, the ambulatory section is a MUST also Step Up to Medicine is mainly good for internal so do not rely on that for family! Step 2 CK review books are fine as well but, Case Files: Family Medicine will triumph over the FA (FA for Step 1 is like your bible, but in Step 2 and your shelf it may not be, unless if it's the FA for the pscyhiatric ward which is like the only good one for pscyh plus case files). If you do not like Swanson's FM review then you can use Blueprints FM. Blueprints FM is bredth but not in depth (also like all Blueprints they take the longest to read so don't buy it if you do not have time...). Also my cousin, who is also an IMG who is doing an internal medicine residency, said that buying the PRE-Test: Family medicine (and for all your other rotations internal, peds, psych, OB/GYN, etc.) are great practice for the shelf and the step 2 CK without actually taking the Step 2. And of course if you have a Qbank then that works well too when your studying on a bus, train, etc. with wifi.

    I noticed a small picture in the background in the opening shot saying "vancouver", is that where you're actually from? Is your long term goal to eventually come back to canada?

      Haha good eye! Yes, that's my home. My goal is to settle down back there eventually, but I'm happy to be elsewhere for now and during residency if that's the way it pans out!

      Thanks 🤗 Likely around this time next year. I'll have to take another pre-qual which requires a permit that takes forever to get, so it may be closer to January 2019

    is Chicago safe?

    • @Medumentary
      @Medumentary  Před 6 lety +1

      It really depends where you are. South Chicago = not safe. It varies by neighbourhood, and sometimes by block honestly. Usually the more North of downtown you go, the better, but there are neighbourhood safety maps for when looking at apartments.
