It never ceases to amaze me how people think you can overload a boat and not expect bad things to happen
Especially the ones with the kids in the front of the boat with no life jackets on
1:43 in, girl gets ejected and goes overboard and the genius guy driving the boat points at her but continues to motor the boat forward instead of circling back! What an absolute turd, then another guy jumps in like 50 yards after her falling in, good luck buddy, you're going to need it.
I can never understand why those people with the low slung bow riders think the ocean is remotely a good idea.
Our 18 foot Four Winns bow rider is perfect (for small lakes)..
What if the jet skis hadn't been close by? Total negligence on the parents.
no matter how big or expensive your boat is, there is a wave out there that will crush it.
Everybody complains about the jetskis but they seem to do the most rescues out there when the boaters do stupid stuff.
It's not the jet skis, it's the rental jet skis. Riders with no experience attempting to ride through Haulover is the problem.
Are life jackets forbidden in the USA?
Only under a certain age are required to have them on and that's the way it should be. Adults don't need more F'n nanny's like you demanding they wear life jackets.

They are allowed but wearing them in rough waters is illegal because they are a buzz kill.

@@edwardranno7119 in Arizona, it’s illegal to be on a bow deck while underway or drifting. And we don’t have any surf. And PFDs are mandatory for children. Florida should look at that.

Regarding the man jumping in after the girl who was thrown from the boat at 2 minutes into the video: Hell yes he should have dove in to try to help her. He had no idea if she was seriously injured, swallowed a lot water, was in a panic, etc. He could swim, otherwise he wouldn't have dove in to help her. It was the prudent and honorable thing to do in this case.
No he should have thrown a throwable first and any other floating items and yelled to the captain man overboard
@@terrifictonyschannel2071 That would mean the girl, {who's condition to swim is unknown, time is critical)would have to swim to the float you've thrown in. There's some doubt there....no, the man diving in was the quickest way to get to the girl. An honorable man that knew what to do.

She was "sun bathing " across the narrow area in front of the. windshield and Im forced to assume she's probably not that smart, because her antics aren't due to inexperience. ..She was one of the "regulars" in the "Haulover Inlet Half Assed Death Defying Darwin Derby " of amateur bar crossing videos

@@PhilBender612 Um Ok...i looked again and @ 1:43 you should be able to clearly note her recumbent posture as we can almost look directly staight up her cooch and out her mouth ,. her legs are splayed, he head is facing port and shes about to get bounced into the Atlantic ocean
@@PhilBender612No she was laying against the wind screen with her legs in the air. Either way she is lucky has she hit the boat pretty hard before going over. If she had been sunned by the blow that would have been it for her.

Why would someone take an obvious inland freshwater lake boat out in the open ocean, 3:15. the front of the bow is at the water line in calm seas let alone in waves? That yellow Scarab 5:12 is just a waste of money, use the money to buy a used Porsche and pick up chicks...
What gets me is why in hell would anyone go out in that sort of weather in the first place the trouble getting out is a nightmare and then when they are out it is a nightmare WTF!

Is there a law saying you can’t wear life vests adults children and dogs in Florida waters. It shocks me. In NYS they periodically do boat checks. They stop and approach and ask you to produce for them to see you have them for every one on board and kids should be wearing theirs all the time. Even dogs! Same if too many people on board. They will escort you to the nearest dock. And then tickets and fines. Especially on Saint Lawrence Seaway. The big shops go throb the way to Chicago and they are dangerous if get too close. Lake Ontario the smallest of the Great Lakes is nearby too. Those ships go through there too. Huge cargo ships. They are also keeping a keen look to see how much alcohol is on the boat etc.
12:25 the reason they got pulled over was it was the only boat where everyone had on a life jacket.

Very little legal risk involved when helping people in dire need. The only liability would be if the person assisting is a total idiot and causes even more damage then necessary, basically causes more harm then good while trying to assist. That's rarely the case and so it's better to always try and help.

Children without life-jackets? That hurts my brain trying to figure that out. Also, I am a small boat owner and I always wear my life jacket, especially if I need to jump in the water to help a passenger it will save both lives. Why not wear a life-jacket at least for the dangerous part??? EDIT: also, tell the kids and even the adults: ride in the back of the boat...you won't get beat up so easily.
Reason for not allowing them to leave? Far too many in a boat far, far too small.
It would seem compulsory to leave your brains and common sense on the dock when you go out boating ..what ever possess people to endanger their family’s lives by going out in conditions like those .

commenting from skyforest, ca. there has to be a high number of injuries from these bone headed fender daggers at the helms of these vessels. many boats I'm sure are missing many life jackets needed by law. stupidly putting family or friends in harms way in these inlet waves. but some of these people are getting pile driven into the decks so hard I'm sure they will have injuries for years if not the rest of their lives. sue it looks funny.........until it isn't. worst part..........I don't think it's illegal to be stupid anywhere in the country, but some of these bone heads are really trying to get laws on the books.

Soaked to the skin, and battered and bruised from all the battering, yeah, a great day out was had. As for the boats, lets take our lake boat out into the Atlantic in a heavy swell, and not have the children wear life jackets, what could possibly go wrong. Absolute muppets. In fact even the deep V hulled boats were struggling in that swell.
