At 8; 26, they had to stick poor Sonny Bono on a pedestal or a step since Cher was taller than he was.I always look forward to seeing The Lennon Sisters on PBS on The Lawrence Welk Show. My father, who died in 2012, would sit and watch every single football game he could . Twelve and fourteen hours if there were that many hours of them.I remember my parents watching The Jackie Gleason Show because I remember seeing that ocean view and the music. But that's all because I think it was bedtime for me whenever it came on.

16:50- The reason was because CBS president James T. Aubrey gave up trying to compete with NBC and ABC on Wednesdays at 7:30pm(et), and placed "CBS REPORTS" there for the next two years as a "loss leader". He waited until the end of December 1964 to move it to Mondays, and filled the hour with "MISTER ED" and "MY LIVING DOLL" for the remainder of the 1964-'65 season. That combo failed to improve CBS' ratings. Aubrey was "cancelled" by the network in February 1965, and "LOST IN SPACE" replaced those series that fall.

16:50- WHY was "CBS REPORTS" moved from Thursday nights at 10pm(et) to Wednesdays at 7:30pm(et) in the fall of 1962? Because CBS president James T. Aubrey realized he couldn't compete with NBC's "THE VIRGINIAN" and ABC's "WAGON TRAIN", and "conceded" the time slot to a program he really didn't want to schedule every week (he believed news and documentaries were a "drain" on CBS' potential profits, but network chairman Bill Paley reminded Aubrey that "news and documentaries made CBS what it is today").
