Game of Words

Communicating via texting and social media can be complex -- even for us adults! We know that messages often can be misconstrued since we don’t see facial expressions or body language cues from those we are communicating with. And our devices’ screens can cause a “disassociation effect,” meaning that we might react and respond without thinking twice about the person on the other end.
We need to give kids the opportunity to think through the ways to be kind, respectful, and thoughtful when texting, commenting, and posting.
