    Thanks for the recipe it was the best ,I just made a little adjustment ,I did not use honey I used the Splenda baking sugar and the icing I use frosting made of butter,cream cheese and vanilla it was so good plus I only baked it for 10 minutes

      Great catch! We didn't even catch it. Honestly, either one will do. Baking soda makes the recipe grain free, and the cupcakes will be a bit more dense. With baking powder there is corn in it, and the cupcakes will be more fluffy. Does this answer your question?

    Replaced two of the four eggs by two vegan eggs (1 tablespoon of flax meal+3 tablespoon of water=1 vegan egg). Still taste great.

    Had no vanilla so did almond flavour....Simply deeeeeeeelish. Next batch to be made along with myprotein flavadrops.... Pink n strawberry and some toffee coloured toffee cupcakes. Not huge on using honey so will use proper baking granulated sweetner next time.... Authentic texture to the buttercream topping then. Damn I'm getting hungry again 👍

      Yum! The reason I use honey is because the coconut flour absorbs so much liquid it can become grainy and dry. You could try half honey, half sugar and see how that turns out. Or add a couple tablespoons of liquid. Thank you so much for your feedback!

      Maple syrup would be good. Or you can do sugar and add something like almond milk until it's a dough like consistency. Probably 1-2 tablespoons would be enough.

      You can use coconut oil or avocado in place of butter. Avocado will turn them a green color though.

    350 temp for 18 to 20 mins too high? Ovens vary I know and feel like 320 is best for baking center oven for 22 mins and it came out perfect 👌

      Yes you can. I don't know the ratio for erythritol but you can for sure. I would just add a tablespoon or two of something like coconut or almond milk to prevent them from being dry.

      Hi! I have used both. I found that baking soda helps them hold together better while the baking powder makes them fluffier. It depends on your goal I think.

      I haven't tried making them without eggs as of yet. I really need to. However, my plan is to use flax eggs, plus a tsp of baking soda and tsp of white vinegar and see how they turn out.

      Hi definitely can! I haven't done this yet but I would start with 1/3 cup cacao powder and an extra tsp of vanilla extract. Taste it and see if it needs more cacao. I don't think it would but it might need another tablespoon or two.

    Made these and they came out good! I realized I like cocunut smell in everything including body wash shampoo and NOT in baking ! The smell of the cocunut flour was not my favorite thing and I could smell the cocunut smell eating the cupcakes ! Is that smell normal? Did yr muffins have a cocunut smell when you had them?

      Hi! I only smell coconut when I use coconut oil instead of butter. However, I know everyone has different preferences. Some people LOVE the coconut smell and flavor while others don't. I'm sure brand plays a role as well. I'm glad they came out good overall though. I'm glad you tried them!

      Coconut flour can be extremely dry. That's why a liquid sweetener is recommended. However I know many people who don't like food with coconut flour at all.

    This recipe sounds good but not diabetic friendly because of all the honey used. It would definitely spike blood sugar significantly. Substitute with a no sugar Sweetner.

      Correct, it is not diabetic friendly. You can substitute xylitol for honey then add 1-2 tablespoons of liquid like coconut or almond milk to prevent them from being dry.

      I am not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if you were to sub the coconut flour for another type of flour? The ratio would be completely different when using a flour other than coconut flour.
