This song reminds me for this that when I was kid I wanted to train modern ballet but I'm boy and I thought that this isn't normal. And I thought how when I get on the stage everyone will watch me. And this song is like moral support for people with different type of sexuality. This song is so gentle. Saara and her Dancing on Ice partner Hamish Gaman (the skating coach in the video) performed this at the opening ceremonies of World Synchronized Skating Championships in Helsinki, Finland this past weekend -- Saara sang the first verse and then they skated together through the rest as the track played -- it was so beautiful and emotional, just as this video is (you can find that performance here on CZcams too) -- sadly a lot of people will always be uncomfortable with the themes and images she uses in her music/videos, but I love her for speaking her truth and you can tell everything she does is personal to her, and that comes through. I hope more people will come to appreciate and love her, even if it has to happen gradually over time!

I wish that subject would be less important to people. If society would finally accept it as normality - which in fact it is, then we would not need parades and support-songs anymore. The message is very touching! I can relate. Even if I'm a straight guy, I've always been a very artistic/creative person and to this day I still have "learning ballet" on my bucket list. I think ballet is a beautiful artform and I don't think there's anything about it that makes it inappropriate for men to participate in. Maybe once it becomes OK for gay/trans men to do ballet, we can work on it being ok for straight men too....

there are a lot of cisgender gay men in ballet , there are an increasing number of transgender women in ballet, fewer trans men but trans men often feel they have to reject things seen as feminine
