I've listened to this album countless times, and it remains fresh every time. The song structure and melodic style is so creative, playful even if it's twisted and dissonant. Top tier BM record.
This was worth the 7-year wait! Great stuff!

Um, I'm here because of Poppy. (Don't judge me!) Also... this is all I could ever ask for in a modern black metal album. I mean, white noise and black metal - hell yes
I happened to watch the "What's In My Bag" with her yesterday and she pulled this out and I thought "I've definitely seen that awesome album cover before..." and well, here I am again 🤷
Poppy is cool, and metal has no rules, so fuck all the elitists and haters.
And for the record, Ghostemane is cool, too.

The vinyl versions are of such average quality it hurts. As much as physical releases are a nice add to a collection, Craft would deserve much more.

Try Funeral Mist: Hekatomb. As powerful and original as this one.

@@viktor6828 in every mood there is what in black metal ...but its almost to much...there are so many bands...i like certain bands with another atmotsphere aswell...but if we talk about powerfull black metal ...I always liked the album from urgehal to...ikonoklast...I have listen to there other albums aswell...but i think that is their best ...maybe something for you
Craft adding another flawless lp in their spotless line of output. They have very few rivals in bands who can progress while keeping the pure black elements. Seven years is fine if waiting for a masterpiece.
Halfway through and loving the tightness and musicianship. New to Craft, brought here by Poppy doing a "what's in my bag" video with Amoeba Music. Former metalhead from my teens and 20s, I still appreciate the power and mood of good metal.
Edit: the bassist is going off. Not sure where the white noise in the album title is.

Not literal white noise. They refer to the cosmos as white noise.
There’s literally white noise fizzing over the top end of every recording. “FSHHHHHHHHHHHHH” over the entire album, literally.

This is my favorite release of 2018 so far, obviously been waiting on new CRAFT for years now and this is well worth the wait! Absolute masterpiece, not too much and not too little, just pure blackness. Exactly as the genre should sound! SO tired of all the DSBM being called modern BM, this is trv modern BM, done right

This is tight! I love the harmonic microtones from the string bending on one guitar with the arpeggio picking on the other. Very cool "white noise" aesthetic to black metal. ♥

@@rockyh3425 Erly Craft has amazing breakdowns, Crazy darkthrone riffs but in a great production. sweet drum patterns too. Check out early albums before the Southern Lord one

Craft came out at a crucial albeit weird time for Black Metal (honestly a low point) and brought it back to it's roots more than any band at the time (when high production, experimentation and innovation was favored over following the raw oldschool traditions). I'm really glad these guys came out at that time because I feel that they put things back in line and saved Black Metal (along with acts like Inquisition, Tsjuder, Katharsis & Urgehal).
I agree that Craft and this release are essential; based on your sentiments, I'd recommend you check out Enigma, Eternidad Solemne and Premonicion De Guerra by Lluvia - best pure bm of our time.
But how many murderand church burnings s do they have under their belt or are the just studio gangstas xD

Did anyone else think that the vocals sounded a lot like Mayhem's for their song Posthuman, thought this is brilliant though, it's definitely different and it keeps me listening.
Excellent album. Far more interesting then Marduk or Darkthrone's latest mediocre releases. Craft have really evolved into a fine modern metal band.
Agree with Marduk in some aspects of the new albums, but not at all with the Darkthrone part. The latest album is pure gold, I really enjoy their whole music journey, watching them evolve and going thru many different styles and positions while still keeping the recognizable writing style
Marduk is like Black Metal Manowar, while Darkthrone is Black Metal Blue Oyster Cult.

So, I enjoyed this album. After of so many years, I was expecting a masterpiece, which clearly it's not the case here.
But it's alright, I'm not getting younger and I really appreciate those older not mainstream bands that keeps playing for their fans.
