Hey RJ there is actually a My Universe documentary about how the song came together. Chris actually went to South Korea during the pandemic to record with BTS. The Documentary is very heartfelt and wholesome.

I'll try to explain the references in "yet to come" as well as I can:
- they're in the desert because it's a reference to a line from their song "sea" : "with you, even the desert could become the sea" (it's a fan song, a hidden track on "love yourself: her" album)
- you were correct, the merry-go-round is from spring day as is the train in the scene with hobi and jimin picking up shoes from the ground is also from spring day (he's even wearing a similar outfit). and the shot at the very end when they're in the bus is also a reference to a shot from spring day.
- the school bus is a reference to their debut mv no more dream
- yes, that statue is a reference to blood, sweat & tears
- the container that joon is rapping in front of is from "run"
- tae in the blue suit with a rose is a reference to "boy in love"
- jk running with his hands like that is a reference to "euphoria"
- yoongi on that piano is reference to him in the bts universe (so a lot of mvs) and in general - a reference to his first love - music/his brown piano in his childhood home.
- the scenes with the van are reminisent of "prologue"
and there are a lot of other small references to scenes from spring day; blood, sweat & tears and the BU mvs.
And the order they’re sitting in on the chairs is the same as in their Just One Day MV! ☺️
It made me laugh when he said he knows the numbers on the container mean something when many an ARMY has tried 😂😂😂

YTC: They end on the bus, which is where they began (their debut video) in a desert but it's like they're at the sea. In the BU storyline, the boys had many trials but when they were by the sea, they were happy. And the Sea is ARMY. 🥲

"Proof live" is one of my favorite BTS performances, musically. The band is so good, and the Anderson Paak (the drummer you were wondering about) played Yet to Come for them! If you watch the whole thing, they talk to him a little bit, it's really sweet. I always go back to Born Singer from that performance. I think you already reacted to Born Singer? But in your own time, if you want, I encourage you to listen to the Proof live version. Also they look fresh in those blue tones!

yet to come is such an important song to all of us as a fandom so I'm really glad you enjoyed it so much! it's basically the whole journey ARMY & BTS shared with each other the last decade and a promise that no matter how many cool and ''best'' memories we made in the past, we still have a long road ahead of us! a promise to wait for them for the next chapter and they couldn't leave us with a better song than this!
also about the mv you were right, that was the statue from blood, sweat & tears and the ferry wheel? from spring day! there are so many other easter eggs referencing to other BTS mvs or songs but I'm gonna explain the last one with the bus:
so in their debut song ''no more dream'' BTS come out of a bus and we're introduced to them in this way and now with yet to come you see them run back to the bus and it slowly fades away to black. they're all together and they seem peaceful! it just shows the end of a chapter which was very sad to watch haha but we're gonna wait until 2025, I'm sure tannies will be back before we know (lies to myself for comfort)
I love "Yet to Come", but I feel like it is so underappreciated. I don't know why, maybe because it was the "end" of BTS's first chapter, so it's kinda sad?🤷
Also, I’m the bus they are seated in the same places they were on the train in spring day
The ending of Yet To Come got me again. I can't help tearing up at the very last scene in the bus. That mv makes me realize how long I've been with them as ARMY, going down memory lane with them 💜
Jin voice is angelic in all songs I like most the jin part from all songs 🎵🎵
Just a footnote Yet to Come the MV was filmed in the desert outside of Las Vegas, NV. The dust storm V is walking through was real! They filmed this and their Proof Live (actually filmed at an abandoned waterpark in Las Vegas) while they were doing their mini "residency" in Las Vegas last year. They also used all of these props for their last concert in Busan in which they ended the show with this song and V trying to give us hope holding one of the signs that said the best is yet to come.
About My Universe, there is a short documentary/behind the scenes where you can see the making of the song. It's really cool! You should definitely react to that if you're interested. Despite the pandemic, Chris Martin went all the way to South Korea for the recording, and his interactions with the boys are really sweet.
Yet to come is the last MV they sang together before enlistment 🥺

Too bad so many people didn't appreciate it because they were expecting something catchy and upbeat for their so awaited comeback.

If you can watch all the mini Proof concert in the middle of the last vegas desert. It so worth it. BTS have never been so on point, feeling it, vibing with the live band.
Yet to come goes through iconic moments in their MV’s history. This video means so much to ARMY.
When we were walking up to SoFi stadium for the BTS concert, the sound system was blasting My Universe and the sound was crystal clear. Now, every time I hear My Universe, it transports me back to that joy-filled evening.

There was a short documentary released on the making of my universe, I think you'd love it! It's really sweet!
- Bastions has their own YT channel and made a full animated dance video for The Planet.
- Yet To Come is stuffed with props, outfits, gestures etc. from their entire discography. How they sit, how they move,... The bus is from their very first mv No More Dream so "back to one".
- Fun fact: The entire Coldplay collaboration was actually initiated by Jin because he's a huge fan of them. Their cover of Coldplay's Fix You is amazing. And if you haven't already then look up Chris Martin's introduction of Jin from Coldplay's concert in Argentina where he and Jin sang The Astronaut live. He talks about what the collaboration taught them. It's really moving.
-Another fun fact: Did you know that Jin's BT21 character (that he calls his son 🤭) is called RJ? That's because if you read the Korean character for Jin sideways it looks like RJ in English. 😂
Tidbit note : My Universe was nominated for a Grammy this past year for best Group/Duo collab but……obviously…..they didn’t win. Of course they didn’t! God forbid the Grammy’s actually give a Grammy to BTS. Anyhow…..
I'm surprised you haven't seen and heard Yet To Come, but this was their very last comeback as seven before the Yet To Come in Busan concert then they announced that they'll be on group hiatus and Jin will start his military soon. They also dropped an anthology album (and yes, it's called Proof) with Yet To Come i think as the title track, and RUN BTS, For Youth and one more new song that's only in CD available. The music video was like a tribute to all their past MVs, since it's been 9 years (when they released it) of their debut. This year is actually their 10th year anniversary 🥹 hope this helps a little bit 🫶🏻
The MV for Yet To Come all the objects/thing are from other MV's are the original props they used in MV's, Concert stages and Award Show performances. The yellow bus is from their very first MV in 2013 . Yes to the Spring Day reference

Life Goes On is my ultimate comfort song. This is such a great song and i loved your reaction to it. I think of this song as a promise to us that there is a lot more to come. I would like to request you to listen to We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal and Epilogue: Young Forever. These songs gives me the chills every time i listen to them. The message in those songs is very beautiful.

My universe there's a lovely Behind the Scene's as Chris Martin of ColdPlay went into quantine so he could in the middle of covid go to meet BTS for 2 days so they could work on the lyrics and sing and produce the song. Chris Martin and Coldplay are good friends of BTS. You've got to see them making the song together.
The bus in Yet To Come is a call back to their very first MV, No More Dream. Good catch that the entire MV is full of easter eggs from their different music videos. 💜 Also, yes. Please, if you can, check out the My Universe documentary. Good vibes overload.

@@steveblevins8793 hmmm i can't really say the reason for that, but Yet to Come is heavily hyyh coded: the whole message of it is that the most beautiful moment in life (which is the eng translation of hyyh) is yet to come.
And I guess, maybe nostalgia and all the memories and feelings during that time. Idk hyyh is just that special of an era, it's basically their youth. It really shaped who the boys are now. Maybe using it as a look back, they wanted to reflect on what the most beautiful moment of their lives is now, after everything that they've gone through. And also anticipate what's in store for the future. Idk if it makes sense 😆 but again, i really can't say. This is just what I think
