- The DeLorean DMC-12 is the only car model from DeLorean Motor Company. The cars were produced between January 1981 and December 1982.
The DMC-12 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design and further developed by Colin Chapman of Lotus.
It was equipped with gull-wing doors, and had a 2.8 liter V6 PRV engine, mounted behind the rear axle, which delivered 132 hp at 5500 rpm. This power was transmitted to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox, or a three-speed automatic gearbox.
Made out of aluminium, never rust.
The DMC-12 is best known for its role as a time machine in the film Back to the Future (1985).

Oh! Back to the Future! It's a car with an amazing design even now. I think that angled design is really innovative even now. Come to think of it, it seems like they're selling kits that revamp the shape shown in the movie. There was a reproduction of the inside as well, and it was amazing.
