- My wife and I were able to attend one of the classic MLS rivalries. This was MLS rivalry week at Providence Park where the Portland Timbers defeated the Seattle Sounders.
I had always seen the pre-match ceremonies on TV and was always a fan. Being a part of it during one of the biggest rivalries was pretty neat.

I'm not from Portland and this was my first Portland Timbers game. It was INSANE. Very different environment than my home team and although I've never been, it felt like a very European soccer atmosphere.

Is it just me or do the Timbers have a small stadium
Current capacity is 21,000, but will be 25,000 for 2019.
Oh it’s still like 1/2 of the sounders stadium
The Sounders also play in a football stadium, though, to be fair. But I would like to see larger soccer stadiums.
Still looking forward to the expansion!
Chris Huerta there is a video I’ve watched of the rival game between the two teams and the timbers are chanting “ let us in to your shitty stadium” and I thought to myself lol it’s better than yours. Even though I’m a Sounders fan I love the timbers army chants and energy
