Strangely enough I have everything you mentioned except the sun oven. Living in Canada in a rain forest counting on sun for much of the year is futile. A lot was bought for building out a step van so I have solar panels as well. I regard all these things as sensible solutions for travel as well as preps for grid down situations or other emergencies. We get November storms that take out the power lines every year. Good on you for informing people about more than the usual 3 weeks worth of food preps. Little old lady on vancouver island.
I got a dehydrator and have used it more than any other pepper item I have. It changed the way I cook. It's much cheaper than a freeze dryer.
Are you in touch with other preppers in your area? A shared expense is perfect for a freeze dryer. Honestly, it usually sits unused most of the time anyway. We have five guys in my area and we split it five ways to include the oil.
I got the buddy heater and used it for winter tent camping. The CO2 alarm never went off. It works ok. But then I got a hot tent wood stove and we like using it better.
Great video, Mahalo for sharing. But the 3500 predator overheats in hot weather, so it's useless if in the south. The 4550 is open frame, lighter, and cheaper and a much better inverter generator.
I have a coworker who has a craftsman inverter generator. He has the same overheating problem here in Texas.
The fridge 12vdc you got I’ve got one too it’s an iceco 68 quart it uses from 36 to 57 watts drone my solar generator which is 2000 watts and solar charged I’m getting 190 watts out of two 100 watt solar panels and on cloudy days I fire up my predator gas generator 5000 watts and just plug it into my off grid cabin which charges up the batteries and runs the whole cabin too it take about an hour or so to charge everything up lol I’m trying to be self sufficient up there and I’m getting there little by little !!
Nice!
Nice video!! Really like the sun oven idea. Thanks.
Thanks. I love mine
I use my butane stove a lot. I put the fuel bottle in bed with me if it’s very cold. They don’t work well when the fuel is cold.
Thx for the great info
Buy the $100 cheaper deal, same generator. Use other receipt to return the more expensive one
Great idea lol.
Get a first sid book. It's valuable on it's own. Using the information, build your OWN first sid kit with extra attention to the more serious cases.
Way too many commercially made first kits sre a glorified box of bandaids.
great camerawork and content
GREAT VIDEO!!!!! I just bought the same reverse osmosis machine.
The Powerhorse generator from Northern Tool comes with a three year warranty and greater output. Same engine and interchangeable components.
great job on the video thanks for the info!
I have everything on the list, some are different brands, except the sun oven.
Thanks
Interesting vid , I think I want a Sun oven (maybe I’ll make one ?).
Good presentation. The buddy heater is stated for outdoor use? Has the carbon monoxide monitor alarmed at all? interested in this.
rated for internal use. That's the major selling point of the units.
@stacky512a Oh really, bugger I was going to get one today, but the salesman pointed out to me external use.' So the one you have is for internal use im assuming and do you know if they sell indoor and outdoor ones? Appreciate your response and again enjoyed your show, just came across it. 🇦🇺
It says on the box " Indoor Safe" www.mrheater.com/portable-buddy-heater.html
I ran it next to my CO2 monitor for 30 minutes with no issues. The reading didn't even change.
@@TheBugOutLocation it does to thanks.
Great Job , good video
Thanks!
Generator noise tip.
dig a hole, put the generator in the hole, cover it with a sheet of plywood...
ya will need some kind of ventilation so the exhaust escapes and it can get some fresh air so it dont choke its self out from exhaust fumes.
a piece of pvc pipe 2-3 inches in diameter through the ply wood on one end almost within inches of touching the bottom of the hole and leave the other hole open,, heat rises which will pull in fresh air down the pipe.
works great.
I've thought about trying this. Good info for SHTF.
There are other ways to keep it quieter
There are special covers you can make or buy
Just remember if your burying it it’s not gonna rain 😂✌️🇺🇸
@@jrbarilla the purpose was to be discreet,
yea,, there are other ways,, BUT.
they can still SEE it,
in a hole in the ground just looks like a piece of plywood covering a hole..
if they get up close.
it could be the whole ya crap in,, ya think they will look?
well, some might..
if someone can see it,, they will more than likely steel it...
from a distance no one would know its there..
A Fancy cover or built box would stick out..
there is ALWAYS someone driving around peepin in to people yards snooping as they drive by.
Rain? When,, lol I live in the desert, J/s
a tarp of some kind with rocks holding it down would work just fine.
rocks for when the wind trys to blow your shit to the next state..
Cinder blocks look to Sus.
its not for everyone,,, but it works,,
if you so happen to leave for a few and they dont see it?
Ya gotta be smarter than these damn meth heads is all...
chains and locks dont work anymore,
they have death wheels (battery powered side grinders) for chains and locks.
there even cutting open shipping containers now.
Later Dude..
@@tyger13us hey tyger
Your absolutely correct 👍 n everything you say here
I live in the NE, specifically the state prison of NJ, have been for over 25 years now
Much different environment here as opposed to you
However, Sandy hit, it didn’t take but 7-10 days down here near the shore for people to lose their shit
I live in a upper middle class neighborhood and they were driving around at night in pickups with guns cutting the chains on generators and stealing them
Many were used by those that stole
Many were being sold as used at local auctions etc
Hell, they recall people were being held up by men with guns at the one still functioning gas station near us that was still able to get their gas out of their tanks and accepted only cash
The line was at least a mile long and that was for the walkers not even the drivers
They were being robbed just blocks away as they walked for their gas tanks
It literally took less than 2 weeks for people to turn from civilized neighbors to desperate what you would describe in normal society as criminals
Our local food stores Wegmans, Shopright and Acmes were charging 50% for their frozen food items they would spoil
Good deal, right?
Normal people, neighbors, criminals, yes they mixed in as well, walked in and even with the local police presence, just started taking whatever they wanted and walked out without paying
The police nor store owners didn’t do anything. At first they tried but the numbers were too many. The store owners told the police they didn’t want any trouble and that they would have to throw the food out anyway within a certain time period by law. That they were insured for all of it
Thing is, the people were not just taking the frozen food but dried and canned foods as well
Anyway, bottom line, did anything here surprise me?
No
Anything you said surprise me?
No
I am a 16 year fully disabled combat veteran, 18b
Also, as part of my responsibilities in training forces even outside of US troops I attended SERE training which was very valuable
I was older than I’m much younger than that now 😝
But I’m disabled, so limited
Throughout my military career I’ve witnessed many what people would describe as SHTF scenarios around the world
Many were different in gradation but they all shared the same characteristics and even what you would consider normal people will do very desperate things for their families etc
That’s not even considering what those criminal
Components would do to gain access and control to resources thereby controlling the people
So, it is always a good idea if you can have a
Mix of dual powered traditional generators and solar
And never let them think that you are in a better situation than they are
They will take
And you will give
You will not have another choice
I wish you and yours and this crazy world peace ✌️🇺🇸

AI can't compete with real people doing real things. Thanks!
Get 4 sets same cloths for all n household esch 2 sizes larger to make it look like u t losing weight stay clean but try to look scroungy like others.
Does the Simpure take the salt out of ocean water?
No, it won't do that.
@@TheBugOutLocation ok, thank you. I know some RO systems will. I live in an oceanfront condo, so I have been trying to find something that will remove the salt.
@teresabradley432 No problem. I'll bet you can get something installed in your home, but that's MUCH more money than this countertop version. It's possible they have something at their website too.
@@TheBugOutLocation I'm trying to find something portable for shtf situations
@@TheBugOutLocation agreed. The only real method of getting drinking water from the ocean is distillation.
To bad that all that crap is about useless in a prolonged situation.😂😂
This guy just reads AI generated text. Not natural. Good info but might just the same as all the other ai channels
Not true at all. This guy has been prepping for 15 years and doesn't need AI to tell me what to say.
