    I just wanted to say that I only have an Etsy shop, and I was accepted on to Faire. So, anyone watching, if that's your only online presence as well, apply anyway! You never know! The answer is always "No" if you don't ask! ❤️

      good to know! I referred a shop to Faire a while back and they said that was the reason they said no but they may have loosened up their requirements. thanks for sharing.

      Did you ever make that video? I'm finding that consignment is the way many of the retailers in my area prefer to work and I'd like to know as much as possible about it.

    Watched this 3 times!! Helping my sister, Maker some sweet crafts (she is an Ace crafter but usually just sells at little shows) with perhaps a line sheet for retailers. Thanks for being so approachable and very down-to-earth about all of this which, she nor I are experts at. Your sheets are beautiful!

    Thank you so much for this video! So helpful and detailed. My question is, is there a "good" time or a "bad" time of the year to reach out for wholesale opportunities? For example, is now not a good time since its so close to Christmas and they may already be stocked up? Thank you!

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Před 2 lety +5

      good question! Yes it’s too late now for holiday. spring is a good time to get your ducks in a row for late spring/summer outreach. A lot of retailers start buying for holiday in the summertime.

    Thanks for putting this together and sharing!! I remember from a past video of yours, you said you were looking to get more into licensing(or more passive streams, I think?) - is that still the case? I’m at a crossroads for where to start first. Definitely want to target to businesses as customers, but not sure with wholesale or licensing. Wholesale seems like it’s be easier in a sense to get a yes, especially w what I want to start with- stickers. Also could be better for brand building. But also, cash flow and logistics is scary. These are all assumptions of course.

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Před 2 lety

      hi! they’re fair assumptions. In short I decided not to pursue licensing as I think it’s harder to make meaningful amount of income from that source unless you’re already established and have connections/partnerships. I also don’t like to concentrate my reliance on fewer large retail brands. From my observation artists who license never rely on licensing as their sole source of income, but it’s possible to have a viable business from wholesale. Just takes different skills.

    Thx for this awesome video. I have a few questions:
    Who typically pays for shipping?
    What if you have sales that are similar to the wholesale discount? Is that a turn off? Do you have to give a better wholesale price than your sale price?
    Thanks!!!

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Před 2 lety +2

      The buyer always pays for shipping unless you have a pre-arranged agreement (e.g.if they place a huge order). I don't recommend having a sale as steep as 50% off unless you're looking to liquidate your old inventory. It's best practice not to undercut your wholesale buyers as it should be a partnership. Thanks for watching!

    Do you need a wholesale license to succeed in wholesale? I've always feared trying to sell to local retailers because they would have to pay sales tax since I lack a wholesale license.
