I'm working as assistant manager in SBI, joined as a PO 2.5 years ago. I don't see that there is any such privilege given to female employees in terms of home posting, timings or official vehicle. Policies are formulated by the corporate center for the whole batch and these are not at all based upon gender.
Overall, SBI is a good organization to work with in terms of perks and providing financial independence, but the issues related to your personal life, be it about timings or transfers on spouse grounds, are not addressed properly.

Being a girl..I don't mind if sbi allot me a circle far from my home State..infact I want to explore things on my own...and from my graduation itself I stayed far away from my home..so it's not a big deal..and it should not be anyways..either boy or girl..both should be treated equally..if a boy is posted away from his home town so should a girl be..it is my opinion

This happens in sbi but not in nationalized banks ….they also given interior branches in first posting itself,on promotions and marriage ground trfrs also takes time 1,2 yrs …and circle concept is not there

Why partiality? Just because Boys have different thing in between their legs, doesn't mean they can stay away from their loved ones and doesn't have feelings unlike girls. Every organization needs to keep this in mind before framing their policies
Mostly boy can relocate his family along with him, in most cases girls can't. Although if wife and husband are both working preference should be equal.
