    been fingerboarding for 22 years. I'm from Nicaragua. My first ten years into this, I only ride the classic Tech Deck (26 mm). That was all you could get around here. I then moved on to buy a wooden deck online from 4 Corner Fingerboards (29 mm). This was around 2010-2011, and like a year later, I bought a Yellowood complete (32x97). I have tried other decks from P-Rep and Fingersk8, but I always go back to my 32x97 Z3 Generation from Yellowood. It's crazy! I've been riding that set up since 2012 now. I have only changed the wheels once.

    Thank you for the educational video. As a kid from the 90s growing up with the o.g. tech decks, and rediscovering fingerboards. I had no idea there were so many sizes to choose from. This greatly helps me understand that they are becoming more and more standard to real skateboards with different board and truck widths. It is a bit interesting that the norm now is foam griptape instead of regular griptape.

    @kayceenolasco4439 Před 4 lety +2

    I personally use a 7ply 32x98mm Club 9 deck(filipino brand) with 32mm BRTs. The width is for easy flips, while the extra plies add weight to prevent over rotation. It's kind of balanced to use. The extra weight also adds that feel of having to work the board to get the tricks done, rather than a light board that is "too easy". Kind of like a manual vs automatic transmission in a car, where it feels better to shift gears yourself rather than boring ol' auto. I wouldn't mind riding wider decks as well. I have 2 other sets, both 34mm with ytrucks and dynamics of the same width. But I like my 32mm best 😀👌

    Bought my first _BerlinWood_ in 2003 - to discover real wooden fingerboard decks at a nearby Berlin skateshop blew our minds.
    _Winkler Wheels_ with true bearings (another mindblowing discovery) followed soon, but we had to keep buying techdeck oldschool cruisers just for their trucks because back then the decks had started to become wider while quality trucks wouldn't be around for a few years to come.

Better to flip exactly to where u need to grind rather than catch it high then bring it down, looks a lot more realistic and clean imo, and a lot mprw rewarding to me.

    You can use 34 mm trucks with 33/33.5 but the wheels you use determine what trucks u should use aswell for 33 if you have a wheel with bearings closer to the center then 34 is fine but wheels such as cartwheels where the bearing is closer to the inside of the wheels you would want 32 mm trucks

    I just use the tech deck I don’t fingerboard extremely so I don’t need a really expensive board it I love watching fingerboard vids for some reason

    That's cool just like skateboarding the boards go up in sizes in quarters of an inch. An 8.25 feels tiny compared to a 8.5 while a 8.0 is tiny and unridable according to me. That tiny quarter of an inch makes a dramatic difference

    The 33,3mm berlinwood/blackriver completes come with 34 mm trucks, is the overhand a bad thing??
