I fell in love with Blind Melon, not just with the song No Rain but songs like Soup, Soul One, Change, etc... When Shannon passed away, it hurt, even though I never even met him. I kept listening to Blind Melon but never looked them up online. Recently, I watched a video about the band and found out they had a new singer now. Alice in Chains moved on with a new singer, a very good singer but it's just not the same, so I wasn't really looking forward to hear this new version of Blind Melon. I finally did and boy, this guy is awesome and their music is *GREAT* !!! Maybe enough time has passed and I'm ready now to accept Blind Melon with a new singer. No one will ever replace Shannon Hoon but this new guy is awesome!

I was lucky enough to catch them live 5x with Travis. If blind melon plays anywhere near you, you must go and see them! I drove 4.5 hours from sacramento to Santa Cruz on a Friday in rush hour bay area traffic to see them at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk where they played the most amazing 2 sets for FREEEEE! Toes in the sand as they played toes across the floor. That was a great show. I caught them at a winery in Napa 😊 if you have the means I highly suggest going to a show IF we're lucky enough to catch them. I had them.all sign my blind melon tat so im kinda a melon head 😳

I loved this song! So good that Blind Melon is back! Never thought I´d like someone is Shannon´s place, but Travis is very good.
They became my favorite in the early 90’s before they became halfway popular being from Indiana. Didn’t really like the idea of someone taking over after Shannon’s passing. But I’ve changed my mind a couple of years ago. Forever a Melonhead even at 43 they’re on the top of my playlist which i really don’t have a playlist!
I feel same way man I live in Lafayette where shannon is from as you know not sure where you from but I didnt give travis a chance at first but after a while getting to know his attitude and talents he is a very humble dude and was once and is a huge melon fan he has shannon on his back b4 meeting them so imagine being a superfan like that and then being asked to sing that group frontman after the horrific experience they endured after shannon died it freaks me out thinking how I would be still in shock all these yrs later probably with my mouth open catching flies from the shock of being asked to join ya favorite group especially trying to sing Shannon's songs and blind melon as whole would been dope to just sing karaoke in bar with them much less being new frontmen but travis is a super cool dude I got nothing but mad respect for him and their new music is different but of course it will be and should be but it's what it is being a melonhead we gotta move on without shannon but I just got gut feeling he would approve of travis I think likely one of the few he would have blessed had shannon been alive and say not healthy enough to continue I believe he would have loved travis he came from nearly identical backgrounds and sings so happens similar but anyway I'm a huge melonhead and will ramble all day when it comes to taking about blind melon and shannon....thanks for reading this if anyone does I am rambler from way back..lol

This band certainly got me through some rough times.
This song helped me through a lot for many years....now in 2021 it helps me mourn my mom 😔 ahhh man it always hits the heart. Thankful for this song 💯💯

I saw these guys open for Neil Young and Booker T and the MG’s and Soundgarden in the 90’s can’t wait to take my 3 kids to see them. What a Great sound, I miss Shannon Bad!

NOBODY replaces Hoon but Travis wasn't trying to he is just as a big of fan of Shannon as we all was but let me say he had shoes nobody could fill nobody tried either but he sure as hell fit the rest of the band what a compliment to thorn and Steven's guitar and Glenn's relentless drumming if there was a silent hero in this band its Glenn Graham that dude can beat the heads off the drums he crashes at the right time without him their music would sounded so much different the drummer usually are who dictates the speed and tempo and sound of the songs look at guns n Rose's Steven adler listen to appetite for destruction and then listen to the albums without him its night and day I love you guys all of Blind melon hello to all my fellow Melonheads from Shannon's hometown Lafayette,Indiana I live bout 2 miles from his grave and I visit often and I think and usually come up with answers to my problems these guys have helped more than they ever know...for that thanks!!!

Agree, for a minute they were calling themselves "BlindMelon w/TravisWarren" i remember hearing on the radio when this song came out in 08' They did pick a great replacement tho, he is somewhat similar, Hoon was like his hero.
