- Jay Halstead is one true hero...
He has been here since day 1, going through some difficulties but always being present for the job and the team. I think he's one of the very favorites of the show because he's both sensitive and strong, following his heart no matter what. Do you like Jay? Do you prefer him with Erin or Hailey? What do you like/dislike about him?
PS: the fact that he doesn't give up on his method to find Kim and that he succeeds was so gooood! I love that he was the one who found her, that changed.

Jay is definitely my all time hero from day 1!!! ❤❤❤ I completely agree with everything you've said about Jay, it's exactly why I love him so much and why he is fan favorite character on the show.
And Upstead are soulmates, they are TRUE LOVE of each other's lives! 😍😍😍
Linstead relationship was nothing but toxic...it wasn't even real love, Jay was mostly in lust with Erin, not in love. He cared for her, sure, and loved her in a best way he knew how at the time but he didn't know then what real love is. Although he was always loyal to her, because that's just who he is! With her and before Hailey sex was main indication of love for him and the solution to all his problems, like a defense mechanism. Erin treated him awful most of the time, betrayed him multiple times by choosing job or her mom, drugs or Voight's approval over him, she patronized him, like she's the queen and Jay is her servant, etc. and Jay in return was always there for her no matter what...but when his ptsd hit him he left her because he didn't trust her enough to show his most vulnerable side exactly because she betrayed him so many times and he was sure she wouldn't understand that broken part of him...Erin didn't deserve him. When Hailey came to his life she actually saved him, from himself, from the deep whole he was digging (in many ways thanks to Erin's last betrayal) and from his ptsd by getting him to go to therapy, being there for him every step of the way and protecting him! In so many ways thanks to Hailey Jay has grown so much since she came into his life and also Hailey is the complete opposite of Erin...Erin - selfish, Hailey - selfless, Erin - arrogant, Hailey - modest, Erin - "there is only my problems that deserve attention", Hailey - have so much more issues and traumas than Erin but she never self-pitty or trying to make everyone feel sorry for her and give her attention, ETC. And Upstead actually saved each other! Before Hailey, Jay didn't really knew what real unconditional love was, what it really means...and with Hailey Jay finally learned how it feels when for the one he loves he is the most important person in the world...same goes for Hailey...
What really amazes me is the fact that Upstead were completely in love with each other's souls and were ready to give their lives for each other even before any of their physical connection...that is beyond rare and incredible! They are true soulmates!
They both are each other's first and true love of their lives!

Thank YOU for your comment! I agree with you on Linstead. Although I really liked Erin, her relationship with Jay was kind of superficial and was there to check the "romance" thing in the show back then. I think both characters could have been even more interesting separately. As for Hailey, I always loved their relationship since they were first partners, and learned to know each other more and more each day. The development of their story is way better than for Linstead and it comes from a really authentic place. And we know they'll be there for each other even though they have their owns personal issues. I'm so happy you liked the video! Thank you again :)
