As a PR holder for about 5 years now, I can say it's abit of misinformation in this video (though most of it is correct). 1. During the application period, you need to get your own extensions based on work as usual. No 6 months extension are given anymore. Several years ago they stopped doing this. 2. If you granted PR and still working, you still need to have a valid Work Permit. Though it's easier to get, and they usually give you 2 years validity.

That's correct. Show three years of records, then apply. Then that could take up to 16 months. (Could be shorter). If you think about it, quite similar timeline to many other countries -- check for yourself to see what we mean. We researched it quite a bit.

Informative video, but with some incorrect information. In the case of the USA, to marry a US citizen, you automatically became a permanent resident. Seems like you are mixing up the permanent resident and citizen requirements in your examples.... Also, no language test for permanent residents.

Not exactly correct, Paul. First of all, to get a fiance or marriage visa, the immigrant and citizen fiance/spouse have to go through all manner of hoops. Including a face to face interview, detailed investigation, substantiation that the citizen fiance/spouse can fully support the immigrant fiance, and so on. The process takes months before the immigrant even gets the K-1 visa. Once the immigrant is admitted with the K-1, they cannot leave the country, even for a family emergency until they get CONDITIONAL Permanent Residence. My daughter and son-in-law are going through the process right now. And it isn't easy or quick.

Many times the system is down. But you are right. Most times its up. Also if its first 90 day report you have to go.

You still need a work permit if you have PR. Renewing it requires very little documentation, but you still need one.

once you leave the country the 90 day report is non existent, when you re-enter you will need to file a 90 day report 90 days after re-entering
