The Ultimate Sauer 200 STR Precision Upgrade

I recently took up PRS shooting as a way to hone my shooting skills for hunting and decided I needed a dedicated rifle. Here's how I transformed an unexciting target rifle into a PRS rig. Upgrades include the Vision chassis, the Vision picatinny rail, a Kahles K525i scope, and a Spuhr ISMS. You'll see all the steps from disassembling the original Sauer STR (the same platform as the Sauer SSG 3000) to assembling the components to get it PRS-ready.

Nice setup! I think that 6,5x55SE is still great cartridge for prs and long range shooting and I will get one for myself too.

Thanks! Yes, you’re right. At the end of the day the 6.5x55 is still a medium capacity 6.5, just without much hype.

regarding the stock, there is an option available from Sweden as well- the Phoenix Chassis by LRD Sweden. I think it’s about the same price as the vision, for anyone interested. 😊

My comment was mostly “fyi” to anyone searching youtube for informative videos on fitting the STR 200 for PRS - there isn’t all that much material out there, which is a shame because at least here in scandinavia it is very hard to beat if you are looking to get the most “bang for your buck” 😃 Good video btw 😊👍
