The potato ice cream wouldn’t work because it’s the opposites that make it so good. Crunchy smooth, hot cold, sweet savory. Dipping fries in ice cream is the best !
The 2000 cal drink could be really helpful for people who struggle to eat enough calories for whatever reason, mental or physical.

In his defence, the happy meal fries are a little larger in portion size here. (Netherlands Europe)

@reginaphalange6081 isn't that ironic? People in Western Europe love to criticize everything American, and yet our fast food fries for kids come in smaller portions. 😅 I've noticed many similar things when watching youtube channels from people in various countries in Western Europe.
@@reginaphalange6081they used to be bigger, but they made them smaller and started including apples instead for health reasons.

If you're ever craving Portuguese food you should visit South Eastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Lots of immigrants landed there.

Christmas is near. I think you should try Christmas drinks and foods you might not have had yet. Egg nog, tom and Jerry mix. Peppermint patty drink. Grass hopper, brandy slush, most of these can be served non alcoholic. Foods lutifisk with lefsa and melted butter. Various types of stuffing or dressing, wild rice ,giblet, oyster,chestnut, sausage, cornbread, plain herb, sage. Deviled eggs have many different variations. Depending where you live the meat may be different the Christmas ham, comes to mind. Dressed with cloves, pineapple rings and merichino cherries and brown sugar or a prime rib roast. Deep fried or smoked turkey, the sides vary too such as scalloped corn, cranberry relish ,cranberry sauce or jelly with turkey,, pineapple compote for ham. The deserts dobash, yule log, every type of cookie known to man that is home made, fudge, speaking of which try cheese fudge,and peanut butter fudge .as cookies go you have to try Norwegian rosette cookies .my family tends to follow Norwegian and German Christmas customs with a bit of English thrown in. We may have a crap ton variety of different things, but it doesn't always mean the quality is there, lol. I am jealous how much I hear the chocolate in Europe is way better!!!

There are 2 basic types of donuts in the states, yeast raised and cake. As the names suggests, the leavener in yeast donuts is yeast, and in cake donuts they use a chemical leavener such as baking powder or baking soda. I’m not really a cake person, so I agree with you, I don’t much care for cake donuts either. My fave donuts are raspberry filled & lemon filled (which are both yeast risen). So delish!💜

Oh thank goodness, I was worried the young people stopped dipping fries in shakes! I can't believe they tried putting the fries in the ice cream 😂 it only works with fresh, hot, salty fries and fast food "ice cream" products lol, and you just dip briefly. Violet you've made my day! Those happy meal fries are the size of a regular McDonalds fries in Australia. Our happy meal fries are probably half that. American portion sizes are wild.

McDonald’s use to have full small size fries in their meals but lots of parents made complaints that happy meals are not healthy and too much calories, so McDonald’s shrunk the fries and added the apples for a healthier meal. But you can ask the staff that you want to replace the apples with more fries and they will give you two tiny ones or one small one.

I had the exact same reaction with the kids fries!!! 😂😂😂 I never get kids meals, but seeing the size of the box in your hand made me think maybe they downsized it to be cheaper??? That seems like such a rip-off, at least in America!!! LOL
Also, it was killing me that you couldn't describe the flavor of the black ice cream!!! You mentioned like soured milk? Perhaps it was buttermilk? I just made some buttermilk pies for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and it does have a weird but somehow tasty flavor! I wonder if that's what it was..... Strange that it was black though, hahaha

You should try Archway cherry nougat cookies. Omg. They're so weird and so good! They're only sold in stores during the Christmas holiday season. I used to try to stock up, but now I just enjoy them for the month or so that I can get them in the grocery store each year.
Here in the US, we generally have two types of donuts raised donuts which are yeast donuts like the glazed donuts you would get from Krispy Kreme and cake donuts which are somewhere between cake and muffins in texture and use baking powder as a rising source. Either can be baked or fried but classically yeast donuts are fried. The idea of savory cereal bars really appeals to me because I prefer savory and most "healthy" or supposed healthy bars and shakes are all sweet. I would rather have a gazpacho protein shake than a chocolate protein shake in the morning. A bacon and cheese flavor granola bar sounds good to me too. Interesting that you should say animal cruelty on the Tyson nuggets. I shop at Wal-Mart a lot and they used to have a good brand of fresh chicken but they switched to Tyson and I don't like it. To me, the first thing that came to mind was that the chicken was terrified when it arrived at the slaughter house because there is a bitter taste to the chicken that I suspect is adrenalin or whatever chickens have that is like our adrenalin. Also, so many of the pieces have broken bones that it makes me feel like the birds are terribly abused as they are being brought to market. I don't buy Tyson anymore. This would be a fun series because there are so many insane things available that intrigue me but I hesitate to buy because they just sound too weird. I am happy to let you be my lab rat/test dummy of weird American foods.
