Love just about everything by the Quo, but this has got to be my all time favourite. I wrote down the lyrics from this song and placed them in my mother's coffin, such a beautiful composition, and says everything you want to say to someone who meant so much.
Even as a Quo fan of nearly 50 years - when I hear this its goosebumps and tears - nobody ever talks about Rossi as a blues guitarist - but you will rarely hear lead guitar played with more feel than this one. Bloody brilliant is what I say 👏
I recognize the place; it's southbound out of Sandpoint Idhao actually, we went there this summer on our way to Glacier in a huge RV, fantastic place! Also fantastic music, recorded in Sept '72 at I.B.C Studios London uk.
A small town suburbia,the lonely highway,countryside and truckstops,mixed with this laid back sleepy song.You've created the best video I've ever seen..well done. I wonder if they used a telecaster for the lead guitar.
