This video was amazing! Thanks for the advice at the end of this not being the end-all, be-all. I'm very nervous for my upcoming interview lol

I have an interview with Goldman Sachs tomorrow ! Wish me luck
Good luck!
how was your interview? what is the process there?
Hi Afzal. Thank you so much for this insightful video into the world of Goldman Sachs, and what they look for.
I think it would quite easy for them to assess whether an individual has the requisite hard skills for the job.
Much appreciated🙏🏾
Hey Afzal Hussain! Thankyou for valuable content that your channel provides everytime. Keep posting such videos. As you always write "if your are 18-24 years old", I really want to know will it be so late if someone starts at the age of 24 or so in the IB career? I mean is it not a wise idea to start after attaining 24 years of age. Please reply ASAP.
Tomorrow I have an telephone interview for JPMorgan apprenticeship. Have been watching this channel for about a year and it made me consider apprenticeship path aswell as university.
How was your interview??
@@ruchitajagtap2989 that one went ok, and then I got through 2 more stages to the video interview final stage. Unfortunately here I was rejected
@@jack.1. so what are you doing now..??
Where are you working??
@@ruchitajagtap2989 I'm still 17 and dont need to get a job immediately but will probably be applying for some sort of finance internship in the next few months.
@Daniel OJ I have offers but am currently going for a gsk apprenticeship
Salaam Afzal,
Can you make videos centered on Breaking into & excelling in JPMorgan WMgmt or AMgmt? Thanks 🙏
hello afzal ,would you please make a video on the responsibilities of quants in an investment bank and about the different roles and responsibilties in a data science division?
Can you do a video about how we can improve our Microsoft skills required as a summer intern in investment banks? such as an online course or any good website?
Sir i am pursuing my ca and interested in hedge and portfolio management but not posses any practile exposure, do it will act negative while interview
Hey Afzal! My name is George and I have this question for you. You mention during the video that in order to be employed by Goldman or Morgan you have to be bright. Can you define bright? How can you calculate how bright you are? EQ? IQ? GPA? Business School graduate? Which are the traits so someone can be considered to be bright for a top tier IB? @AfzalHusein
You're deeping it too much. It mostly means going to a good uni and doing a good degree, with a good grade. You could go to business school but if it's the local uni it's not impressive. These indicate intelligence on your cv. When it comes to the interview, that's where you can showcase EQ. IQ is an outdated concept, mostly to do with test-taking. Just come across as articulate and have common sense = being bright.
Could you please make a video on how to apply for Goldman Sachs online like what to write on in your application that will make you stand apart from other thousands of applicants, because this is the first step right, if I clear this then and then only I'll get a call for interview so please make a video on how to write your application while applying to Goldman Sachs what all to write in it, how to make it attractive and give it a higher edge and make it stand out from other applications
Hi if I got an invitation an insight day on site, should I come ? Thanks
Hii, I am pursuing ACCA and want to start my career in Investment banking field. And I have no previous working experience, so would they hire me? I am good at analytical skills and very interested in tradings. Help me with this
Do a video Marcus plz
Hello brother hope everything’s well. I would like to know your opinion about muslims working in a bank or institute to get more experience when it comes to trading career. That type of information will help me. Thank you 🙏🏽
bro, have u read all of those books behind ?
Very very helpful. Also it would be really beneficial if you could make a video on the types of questions asked at interviews and how to ace them.
Your videos are a gem. So, I started preparing for CFA and aim at landing IB jobs. Thanks a ton for setting the guiding path. Also, I've sent you a connection request on LinkedIn. Please accept. Thanks.
CFA doesn't help with landing IB.
Source: I currently work in GS IB
@@damienturner6368 what would help in your opinion?
@@K-tk2xp 1. Get an IB internship during your college years -> secure full time Analyst offer
2. MBA at M7 school -> Intern in at Associate level
Hi Afzal,
Ive been a Marcus Customer for around a year now. Its a great little product with a better than average interest rate. Nothing too fancy and over the top but its a clever move from Goldman to dip into the wider consumer market!
Have a controller interview with them on Wednesday. Watching so many videos to prepare! Anybody know if they cover moving costs? Position would be in NYC I’m in Tampa, FL. Thanks!
How did your interview go? i have an interview for the same position on Monday and I only got the invite today :)
Why did you quit Goldmans
Here you go: www.linkedin.com/posts/afzalhussein_my-last-day-at-goldman-sachs-how-time-flies-activity-6391541076662059008-6Ayh
Is anyone else here from anubhav
goldman is extremely overrated, I worked in back office function close to 20 years at gs, the money, benefits wasn't that much more than their competitors. The people were snakes, managers wanted their own team to play against each other for competitiveness. people were evil there.
