Okay it makes me so happy to see that red rising is number 6 on the list because I did enjoy it, but I was like hmm I don’t get the hype. Excited to continue on with the series now! 💕💕
I just finished Morning Star last week. IMO, I liked Golden Son the most, then morning star and lastly Red Rising. All in all I loved the series as a whole and am glad I read them after being on the fence for almost ten years. I am taking a break, sort of cleansing my pallet with another book before jumping into Iron Gold.
Nice! I loved Golden Son! It was a toss up for me between Golden Son and Morningstar. I used to say Golden Son but over time Morningstar has gone ahead a bit. A break is good, then you will be pumped to get back in the world when you are ready! Thanks for the comment!

I really struggled to get into the first one, Red Rising, so I did not finish, but I am open to trying again, at some point. My daughter loved it, but isn't keen to finish because she found the fifth one really disappointing. It seems to be popular with her age group, I have noticed, though.
Hey Heather! Yes, alot of people dip after the first book but I think you should give the second a try at some point! The 5th book is dark and def is tough on our characters but still very good. She should read lightbringer, it is a return to form if she liked the earlier books. Thanks for the comment!
