My dad grew up in Germany in the 50's and he recently told me how when they were kids the legal limit for line on Kites were 100m (a football pitch length) and beat cops would come up to them regularly to see how big the spool of line was to gauge if the line was possibly more than 100m. Rich kids could afford strong thin line kinda avoiding suspicion. Moral of the story: authority will authortize silly rules and people will dodge them by whatever means.

Man, I should've seen this coming. But at least now I know why back in the 60's I was held in from recess in second grade by my teacher because she caught me shooting paper wads through a straw. She made do this for entire recess, about 15 minutes. Man, we both dodged a bullet there! I'm sure she's well over one hundred years old now, and it wouldn't matter to her if they found out she was having me practice my propulsion systems in this manner while my classmates were having fun playing dodgeball. Let's just keep this our little secret, I'm only about 70 now, and don't want to do the rest of my time on death row.

As a disc golfer, I need to point out that what you purchased was an illuminated pot plant drip tray, and not a Flying Disc.
A Frisbee is a flying disc made exclusively by the Whamo corporation, whose trademark is "Frisbee". It cannot be used to describe a disc made by another company.
A proper flying discs or golf discs are manufactured by reputable companies, using high quality materials, and excellent designs which create flight shapes which are described by the disc's Flight Rating Numbers, such as 3 4 0 2. The numbers represent the rim width (3 - higher is bigger), glide (4 - higher is better), stability (Negative is understable, 0 is stable, positive numbers are overstable) and fade (2 - 0 is straight, higher numbers mean more radical fade).

oldguyFPV asks; Is flying an FPV drone an art form?
Are drone videos and photos an expression of that art form?
Are drone videos, and photos, the intellectual property of the drone owner?
Does the 1st Amendment protect the drone owners intellectual property from arbitrary government control and regulation?
Does Part 107 violate 1st Amendment protections?
While using a drone, can the FAA license, regulate and control a private citizen's 1st Amendment right to freedom of expression?
Can a private citizen’s 1st Amendment intellectual property be sold without the permission and/ or licensing of the FAA?
Does Part 107 turn 1st Amendment rights and protections into mere privileges that can be arbitrarily denied, regulated and controlled by the will of FAA without due process of law?
