    Good review. Black and decker may not be the king like in 80s but now its still king in the budget segment.

    First drill I ever used. No idea if I had it on the correct settings but it did the job for fixing wall plugs into brick.

      Hi, Yes you just need a masonry drill bit and set the drill to the hammer mode and you should be able to drill a hole in a wall. Make sure that the bit is in the chuck nice and tight.

      Cheers Rob. I like Bosch I just keep buying different drills and testing them out I find it hard to stick to one drill for too long! I am actually thinking of using the Bosch drills again though.

      @@iyzhms8998 Fire? No that is not normal. It is normal to see some sparks Inside caused by the carbon bushes. Hope this helps.

      Thanks! I think it all depends on the frequency of use. I agree I like Bosch green for DIY.

    Great review Phil. Have this drill myself and the impact driver for the past 4 years. Gets the job done. Have since gotten into the Ryobi system. Have you tried any of them yourself?

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  Před rokem +2

      Cheers Stephen. I have never owned a cordless Ryobi tool as of yet. No reason in particular I just never ended up buying them although I might one day.

      Boa noite para todos. Você não tem ainda nenhuma porque não lhe deram para fazer o vídeo. Dá para perceber em muitas coisas que as pessoas fazem em vídeos que é daoadas pelas marcas e depois as pessoas fazem os vídeos e ainda ganham dinheiro como é óbvio com as publicidades. Nada tenho contra quem faz vídeos e possa ganhar dinheiro mas por vezes há muitas coisas que as pessoas dão à entender que usam sem usar mas simplesmente é mais para fazer os vídeos porque é tantas coisas que as pessoas ganham das marcas que ia ser difícil usar tudo. Há pessoas que estão milionári@s com milhões de dólares ou euros etc e com carros e mansões entre muito outras coisas com os vídeos que já fizeram Boa continuação de noite e ótima sexta feira

      @@PhillWyattProjectspor acaso até comprei uma dessas na semana passada tinha e tenho uma da Bosch de 12 volts que era e é muito boa só que as baterias na altura duraram pouco tempo e só as baterias eram o preço de uma aparafusadora nova e até hoje algumas da Bosch são o mesmo valor que duas baterias separadas compradas a parte na net ou na própria casa da marca física. Optei por una dessas para ver o que possa aguentar porque não trabalho todos os dias com ela daí como as baterias são muito melhores talvez vá durar muito mais tempo do que a que tenho da Bosch que as baterias ficaram gastas e foi muito pouco tempo de trabalho mas a aparafusadora trabalha vomo nova, o problema pelo que vejo é apenas nas baterias que dão depois problemas enquanto um berbequim com fio dura anos a fio com muito trabalho pela frente. Já vi fazer a redução a uns anos de energia para fazer de um berbequim uma aparafusadora o que era muito bom assim que dá para durar muitos anos e só agora enquanto estou a escrever me lembrei o que irei ver se encontro para tentar fazer também isso de redução de energia enquanto uso o berbequim para usar como aparafusadora caso essas alterações sejam mesmo reais assim como os eletrodomésticos também funcionam assim desse género de aumentar e reduzir a potência de energia.

    How do you change the direction of the drill. Mine goes left

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi, if you look just above the main trigger, there is a button which you can push in to lock the drill, or make the chuck go clockwise or anti clockwise.

    Why are more retailers starting to sell the drill, battery and charger separately these days. Is it just another money maker.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  Před rokem +3

      I think it's mainly because now a lot of manufacturers offer a range of cordless tools which share one type of battery. So they sell bare units because some people already have batteries and chargers.

    Thanks for this Phill, horses for courses I guess, it seems a reasonable light duty drill driver if you're not looking to build a section of tools around a battery system, did you pay around £45 for it ( seems to be the current price ) how does it compare with those you've used from the supermarket middle isles ?

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  Před rokem +1

      Cheers Andy, yes it was around that price range. I would say it is similar to Ferrex brushed combi drills of the same voltage In my opinion. At that price range its ok I think.
