Just to add a few to this list. 5:15 yes we don't get the win reward for ties in GBL but it means ELO remains the same for that match, not a loss. Also, mega evolving a pokemon gives back 1 mega energy just like a regular evolution. Purified pokemon were supposed to do more damage to shadow pokemon when they were first released.
Additional to the Nosepass facing to the North easter egg. If you're using fast catch, Nosepass will automatically face North if you haven't caught it the first time. But if after doing the fast catch technique and the nosepass still points at you, it means that the pokemon was already caught.
The powering up healing method has helped me out a lot when I am low on revives. I’ve mega evolved some of my Pokémon at times just so they can become healthy once they return to normal. I’ve also gotten a Shiny shadow Pokémon from every Team Go Rocket team member except for Cliff.
I'm glad I traded 8 minutes for this valuable knowledge.
5:20 that's actually not useless, it's a great way of being able to tell when your friendship has already increased for the day, so you don't have to open a gift and get a trashy 7km egg!

when you have Slaking as your buddy, it actually walks around. Lugia has fingers and even thumbs at the end of its wings. Aerodactyl has 3 fingers halfway through its wings.
That Magikarp one got me. I had no idea one had white whiskers 😳
Pikachu’s tail as well, same with Eevee and many others. There are quite a few with little differences between the males and females.

When Magikarp is your buddy it's upright as if swimming when you're looking at your trainer profile, which is very unsettling, but on the map its sideways and flopping around normally

Some more useless facts: Some people have multiples of mythical pokemon like Mew due to a bug and Niantic compensating it and you can catch the mythical research pokemon without using AR mode, just opt out of the AR and don't move your phone after initiating the catch so the game will think there is something wrong with your sensors and offers to use the normal catch screen instead

I got the game (i think) right before the Meloetta special research was given to everyone, but I don't remember choosing rock/pop star Pikachu. I wonder what'll happen...
I'm pretty sure shiny magikarp being released as the first shiny pokemon is a referance to the shiny gyarados in the lake of rage in gold silver and crystal aka the first shiny most people found in gen 2
Really fun video! But I was surprised at the fact that shiny magikarp was released March 24th, 2017 because I have a shiny gyarados that has the catch date of March 23rd, 2017

This was quite a fun video, some facts I was aware of and others peeked my curiosity
4:30 technically, this fact is incorrect because in Pokémon emerald, for example you can actually shiny hunt mew. But not anymore unless you hack in the Old sea map thing.
Same thing goes for Shiny Jirachi, Shiny Genesect in events and other mythicals.

If you attack a gym while it has an egg, it will take you outside and have to click it to enter. If you're attacking it without an egg, you'll stay at the gym to attack it again.

By the way, when you spin your pokémon it actually faces towards you, so if you wanna make your pokémon face you without moving infront of it you can just spin it

So a level 1 traded nundo shadow may be the rarest thing in the game.
You'd have to encounter at level 1 back when shadows had whatever level, then trade it with someone you are not friends with and only during the time you could trade shadows and have the stats of a nundo (1/4096)

If you have machamp walking around as ur buddy only the top 2 arms are in fighting stance while the lower 2 arms are just kinda at his sides like normal people and tbh if was kinda creepy. And also yeah the Unown best buddy thing is really annoying

Shiny Mew in pokemon go wasn’t the first shiny available in Pokémon go. In fact, it was even more elusive it was released in a japan exclusive event in Emerald during 2005 with the “faraway island event”. This was the only main game event you could shiny hunt Mew.
I got a photobomb in a snapshot of my Apex Shadow Lugia buddy. The Smeargle got Shadow Ball as charged move 😂
Smeargle cannot get psychic fangs as well so I took snaps of my lycanrock and ended up getting frenzy plant with rock throw a masterpiece

It would be funny (but would also suck) as attention to detail, if you had Greedent as a buddy and berries randomly went missing from your bag. Or what wouldn't suck is if you got them to Great buddy if they found berries more commonly to give to you as gifts
Had to stop the video to move my tags around. Had no idea and that was completely useful.
The meloetta one was the only one that caught me off guard when I gauht it by completing it,s research campaign task and is the one that is most relevant to me since I caught her last Friday just 2days ago, and honestly, it just made my day there were things happening in the Mall that were annoying me for a little while and when I was about to call it a day and go home I got her by surprise and man was I Happy.
It matters to me cause Meloetta is my most favorite Mythical Pokemon and I wasn't sure that she was even in the game Man I was happy to get her for real.
But side note as far as the Story campaign quest goes it's worse to get one for making a new friend in the game than it is to send or receive gifts from your existing friends big time especially if you are a solo player and don't have any way to get/find another player to become your friend.
Another Useless Fact: Shadow Pokémon have shadows of their own. Drag down the shadow Pokémon like you’re exiting the Pokémon, but do not let go.

I’m not sure how well known this is, when lucky Pokémon first came out they actually weren’t 12/12/12 minimum IVs. I have a lucky growlithe that actually has a minimum of 10/10/10.

Using candies to heal Pokémon is only useful if you have enough candies and stardust or it's able to be powered up more which if you're not lucky with Pokémon spawns, you're still screwed
