With every ending (Diggs) there is a new beginning (excitement of the new wr we are getting)! Go Bills!!
Yup! They all come and go. Even the greats!
A fresh Slate the team needs
Thank you Greg Cosell. Barely part of the offense his last 6 games in Buffalo. They wanted him gone. Relying on a rookie replacement considering Diggs is a $31 mil cap hit. They'll pick up a veteran when rosters are cut after preseason.
Diggs checked out the last half of the season. He let double teams take him out of the game plan. Move up in the draft get the best WR available.
What tipped you off, his not coming back for balls in the playoffs?
Good riddance
He was banged up also. It was more than just checking out.
Because it is easy to move up and draft a stud receiver….the bills are done
Hmm, maybe switching OC halfway through the season, in which they started running more screen sets had something to do with it. look up the numbers if you don't believe me
@@murphybrown1366the bills aren’t done. They’ll find another great receiver who’s younger, cheaper, and not a diva. You’ll eat those words
I'm tired of people blaming Josh Allen for this happening, and saying that he will go bust without Diggs, the man wanted to leave Buffalo.
Hate to see Digs go, but this is the best move for Allen and Sings for their careers. They were mutually beneficial to eachother. Seemed like a toxic relationship and Josh's desire to appease Diggs led to poor decision making and turnovers. Now they can be Brothers and admire each other from a far. They went as far as they could together as teammates with the personas that they have. When Diggs was off or down on Josh it really f"d with his head. Stroud seems to be able to shake off the emotional element of the position.Imo as a lifelong Bills fan this needed to happen
Nobody who knows anything is blaming Josh so stop creating fake narrative.
Just glad to be done with his cryptic tweets and drama. Dude helped the team and was frustrated to not go to the dance, I get that, but he's got some growing up to do. Hope Josh and the boys absolutely SMOKE the Texans this season!
No one's blaming Josh Allen and if they are they're idiots. Diggs is undersized and has no burst of speed. He is average at best and he was lucky to have anytime with Allen.
People born and raised in Buffalo want to leave Buffalo. That’s not anything to be mad about. It’s was time to move on. They all come and go.
Samuel o the same type of receiver except younger, is a ball carrier and can play the Debo role. An improvement over Diggs. The hole in the receiver room remains the same: somebody who can play the X, the sidelines, can take the top off the D, has great hands…
You are 100% correct!
Diggs won't like not being the center of attention in Houston and will, no doubt, start acting out fast.
He wasn't a team player. The Bills got as much as could out of him. They are fortunate to get a 2nd round pk.
They were a better team with him. He made them a legit contender. He put up some of the best numbers at WR in Bills history.
@@markgolden6265 he's not a difference maker like that or they would have gotten over the hump with him at some point.
Anecdotally, many great receivers of the past decade were drafted in the second round, including A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, Deebo Samuel, Michael Thomas and Davante Adams. And other stellar wideouts were taken even later, including Cooper Kupp, Stefon Diggs, Terry McLaurin, Chris Godwin and Keenan Allen.
DIGGS leaving now is just as good as getting him when we got him. The best thing that could happen to Buffalo happened! We already have his replacement and we don't have to worry about forcing the diva the ball at the expense of the team winning
Agreed he needed to go by any means necessary. I had hoped someone was dumb enough to give a 1st round pick for the name but whatever it takes to have him off the team.
Last 10 games
Diggs 80 targets 422 yds
Shakir 37 targets 462 yds
Over last 4 year's when did Diggs show up in playoffs?
He's 5'11 190lbs and slow. He cant get yards after catch, hes soft, and he doesn't stretch the field.
Bring in a 21 year old rookie.
Will be fine
Agreed, although Diggs was flashy, I liked Gabe Davis more. Take a look at their stats for 2023. Diggs had more than twice as many targets and receptions but only one more TD than Gabe. Diggs was done mid 2023 season if not sooner.
@bullzeyez3236
Diggs had 160 targets this past season... 1,100+ yds
Hell give any of our backup WRs 160 targets and Allen will get em to 1,100 yds lol
@@josephbanker3829I think you misunderstood my comment . Im saying , Gabe had almost the same amount of TDs with half the targets and receptions. All those stats for Diggs and he only had 8 TD, Gabe had 7. Diggs was so done for the 2023 season, time to move on .
@bullzeyez3236
I agree with ya, I was just saying... Diggs had 160 targets, it will be nice to spread that around this season.
I think know we need brain Thomas. I not worried about it.go BILLS
The bills are getting out at the right time.
A year too late.
@@williamhermann6635 true. That 2nd rounder in 2025 would be helpful this year given this year's WR class.
@@geehoneybee A 2nd rounder in any year is more than I wouldve given up for him. I give Brandon Beane credit for getting that much for him.
The r in rebuild. They have to draft and let contracts expired
It’s MIN 2nd rounder. They are starting either darnold or a rookie so it should be a high pick.
Smart move …. I am so glad bills have imagination and understand what is working and not
That's was smart move he did the same thing to the team he came from you get rid play like that because they F the locker room when other players just was a cry baby because he did get ball the time plus he old now my opinion
ladd is pro ready, and he will be they're at 28, don't have to lose capital is smart and humble. He out tested diggs at combine and if we don't grab he goes to KC without a doubt. I don't see mitchell or Thomas there in 20s. I think ladd would be a great diggs replacement addition
Even if we have to eat over $30M for now, better to cut him off when we are. Start future proofing by finding players that we can build around Allen for the long-run, even if it takes a year or two. True fans will stick around and trust the process.
Having and getting rid of Diggs is like the 2 best days of owning a boat ! The day you buy it and the day you sell it !
1000% spot on
Diggs was a number one WR all but the last 6 games of last year his whole time in Buffalo
Beane has a plan, relax!!diggs was a cancer and he needed to be removed!!!
AMEN!
Beane needs to get fired. Same as th coach. They couldn’t win squat with a great team n this team is worse everywhere now.
@@havanascp9602 That's ridiculous, they are the best we have had in a LONG time, you don't fire coaches every time you miss a super bowl.
@@havanascp9602Bills are gonna be better in the intermediate run. They may win more games than last year. When you take out aging trouble players the team gets younger, cheaper and better.
@@havanascp9602spoken like a true idiot
One had the sense that Diggs had become a bit of a malcontent, just as he had been on his previous team.
The only difference was in Minnesota, five years ago. He was the best receiver and a deep threat right now in Buffalo. I feel all his crying affected Gabe Davis‘s game who had much better numbers with the ball, going deep and in the playoffs, but Davis left because of Diggs, now Diggs is gone to, and we did one better and sent him to a team where he might be the third best receiver😅
as a Dolphins fan...I don't know what the personal/personnel issues were with Diggs in Buffalo but to my eyes, when he was on the field against us he played like a difference maker.
Sooo Maddy Glab was right 😮
Absolutely
Why did he have to like Maddy or any on the media?
I agree with Greg. He's going to play 85% of his snaps in the slot with Houston! And it will be great for him to be the 3rd guy, basically becoming Beasley, which is what we were all hoping, but it's time to move on.
I don't understand why we only got a 2025 2nd round pick.
Houston owns 2 second round pick this year.
When you produce, others will put up with some stuff. When you are not playing well , shut your pie hole. Get a big fast receiver in the draft and pray. GO BILLS
Very smart business move‼️
In my heart I know the Bills will bounce back. Diggs was great for a while and now he is gone. He really wanted to be back in Texas anyway. Now, Josh won’t have to deal with the drama and just play great ball and plan for a SuperBowl, GO BILLS!
No way we get into range for the top 3 but I've always loved Thomas. He'd be great in a Bills uni
He will be gone super soon. That being said there are tons of solid receivers in round 2-3. Maybe a trade down if Mitchel and Thomas are both not there and you guys likely are still fine.
in Beane we Trust. Go BILLS!
Let’s go bills that’s right 😎
The writing was on the wall for Diggs unfortunately. Expensive aging player. They could have kept him but I don’t think they would have received the same compensation next offseason.
Chargers got a 4th rounder for Keenan Allen. For Diggs we got a 2nd. Highway robbery if you ask me. In a deep WR class we can still grab a very good WR at 28.
BRANDON AIYUK!!!
Look there is only one reason they got rid of him was because of me first or attitude. Why would you take such a cap hit. He was still producing. His production amounts to a number 1.
It is so hard being a life-long Buffalo Bills fan! Why do we keep hoping this franchise is ever going to be ultimately successful?
Shrug 32 teams man. Lot of parity. It's a rough world out there for the Bills and the 3 other teams in the same boat even still. Just be glad you guys are still a top team with a top tier QB.
I'm so glad we got rid of that cry baby
The 2nd round pick we just got for next year paired with our 1st and a late round pick can get us up to 12 potentially according to draft value charts
What chart you looking at player? 28 & Minnesotas 2nd next year only get ya up to 20, 19 at BEST
Diggs is gonna be 31 this fall...he destroyed his legacy in Buffalo just like he did in Minnesota. He fleeced us for $19 million and walked away. He quit on us mid-season last year and we still won...so good riddance.
He was a good Bills player. He didn’t destroy anything. He wanted to leave. He was not the 1st who wanted to leave. Good 4 years. Can’t ask for much more than being productive.
He's a Great Talent, but face it, this team has been walking on egg shells the last three years around this man - time to move on - Turn the page - GO BILLS
I think this was a Diggs and McDermott issue not a Diggs and Allen thing.
I agree, him Morse, Proyer, and Diggs.
4.39 is FLYIN.
Diggs left the team immediately after the playoff loss to the Bengals 2 years ago-Literally ran out of the locker room. He's never been the same since- Good Riddance.
Mixed feelings, sad that he's gone but reading the.tea leaves I'm hopeful of what will come, it feels timing wise the value wasn't what us Bill's fans thought he was, not sure what they are looking for yet but I've had plenty of questions but I've come the conclusion that Beane is way smarter than us
Josh Allen didn’t become what he is now until he got Diggs. Anybody saying Diggs made Allen is an idiot! They will definitely miss his presence even if they replace most of the production. He draws significant attention from defenses. Nobody else on that offense will. It’ll change the way they are defended and may take some time to figure out. It’s clear they were preparing for this the back half of last season. It’ll be interesting to see how they start the season offensively without him. Beane is a CLOWN of a GM but luckily they have a monster like 17 to cover up a lot of his mistakes.
Man that locker room is gonna be weird at the beginning, so many familiar faces that wont be there
No I think the locker room will have more unity. Digs started to be a problem for the locker room at the beginning of training camp last year and it put doubt into other players minds.
Thanks god for the Pats because the Bills can’t finish last.
Angry and disgusted with this trade, and I'm surprised the NFL "allowed/approved" it because it's SO ONE-SIDED as to be grossly imbalanced on its face (something sports commissioners supposedly step in to void). The then high-picking Bills gave up a #1 draft pick to acquire Diggs four years ago (they should have just kept the pick and taken Jefferson themselves instead of letting Minnesota pick him with the Bills pick -- had they done that, they would have received a better, younger WR who would still be on the Bills today [20/20 hindsight]), and now the Bills get back ONLY a 2nd round draft pick from a late-drafting playoff team (essentially an early 3rd round pick). As if all that isn't bad enough:
a) the Houston draft pick isn't until AFTER NEXT season,
b) the Bills are ALSO giving Houston a 2024 draft pick AND a 2025 draft pick IN ADDITION TO Diggs,
c) the Bills sustain a HUGE $31 Million dead cap hit, AND
d) the Bills FAILED to send Diggs to the NFC ... thereby immediately drastically improving another AFC team the Bills will have to get past to make a Super Bowl run.
The other thing that galls me is the fact that Diggs is a TOXIC VILLAIN who has now harmed TWO teams, yet he gets rewarded for his own BAD BEHAVIOR. If Diggs can't get along with really good player-friendly guys like Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane, and/or a really good dude in Josh Allen, then the problem is staring Diggs in the mirror.
He is the reason why we couldn't get over the hump in the playoffs # Big cry baby # Josh Allen will show out without that baby
With what? Not with that room right now. They better get him some legit help!
Dynasty for the ages
If the Texans out Diggs in the slot he’s going to eat and eat BIG !!
Bills gonna need to pickup a receiver. Pressure is starting to build on Josh Allen
I'd take 2. High round picks as well because this draft is WR heavy. Give him more weapons before he turns into dust.
The draft has a lot of WR talent this year and trust that Beane has a plan. I will admit that I'll miss Diggs; when he gave/played 100%, he was amazing to watch. Definitely won't be missing his diva bullshite and stupid cryptic tweets
Everyone : I’m going to ESPN young talking heads who have no experience for my information on this trade
Me: yea I’m gonna go listen to the old guy who lives and breaths football.
You can say he’s declining away from being a number 1, but to say he’s never been a number 1 is ridiculous.
Wait who said that tho ?
@@topleftfromtimethe guy in the video? He literally said he’s not a #1 and only was on the Bills because they had no other options…
@@tanijacs413 where did Greg say Diggs has never been a #1 tho? I genuinely didn’t hear him say that but I may have missed it
This will be better for allen, don't have to worry about upsetting Diggs
He will be garbage without Diggs
idk about that but Diggs did help to unlock him while there. If they hit in the draft, they will be fine in about a year.@@murphybrown1366
Receivers come and go just like every other player at every other position that was digs his time to go. They’ll be somebody that comes along. That’ll be a lot better. Just wait and see and as for Samuels. He’s just as good as digs.
As a Bills fan. Glad he is gone.
Let’s analyze this to death 🤦♂️
Good riddance- something was building for awhile!
I still feel bad for Maddie!!
A Captain would not have left their teammates to answer all the questions after a tough loss.
Diggs had no problem going on a media tour last year subtly blaming everyone else.
But when he didn’t show up again in the playoffs he can’t answer any questions.
Josh deserves better.
I’m excited!
Addition by subtraction.
The press must be disappointed. They won't have any more drama to report.
Is Greg Cosell a receivers coach?
No, hes the director of NFL Films and has studied more game film than Bill Belichick. Hes the nephew of Howard Cosell and has spent his entire life around the NFL. The guy knows what hes talking about.
In other words he's Mel kiper he can't be wrong about anything
Greg Cosell has a long, distinguished career. He is highly respected in the football world.
There is a benefit in not having a number one receiver, keep defences guessing.
I don’t think he wanted to leave I think he was having fun on social media getting attention. In 4 years he will be out of the public eye might as well have fun
To be clear i have no issue moving on from the player. Giving up a first rounder. Im just gonna say it giving up justin jefferson for diggs. Paying him and investing in him. Then giving him and a 31 mil dead cap hit plus picks for a 2nd is horrible business and a big loss in totality. Also a rookie isnt producing on the level diggs can.
I love Greg cosell, but Nico is not better than diggs. Diggs is still a top 15 wr easily. To me that is a number 1 in this league.
Hopefully get Brandon Aiyuk and maybe still keep the 1st to draft a wide out...
what are the cap implications here for unloading Diggs? does anyone know????
31 mill dead cap. Basically we are paying for him to play for the Texans. N the other 3 years ain’t guarantee
Also get Rice in second round
Diggs was great. But last year he simply wasn't able to make a difference in the last half of the season. Size, speed and affordability of two rookies might just inject some swagger back into the passing game.
The right two. They have not picked a right WR yet. That’s been a miss for Beane. The whole time.
@@markgolden6265 Well, I'd say Kincaid and Shakir are very good picks . . . just not the big burner with hands that would complete the WR room.

Finally they traded him now hopefully they don’t trade up and give away future picks there’s plenty of talented wrs that will be available in rds 1 and 2. Don’t need to trade up
There is a huge drop off after the third receiver. Do we want good or great?
@@barryfeinstein1234 how many years do you need to see guys drafted in late rds including Diggs for you to see you don’t want to waste good picks
It will be a high 2nd round pick, Minnesota will have a terrible season this year :)
If nothing else, at least Beane has dropped the hammer and attempted to right the looming salary cap disaster. Cutting the older players and giving youth a chance is our only way forward, it's a shame we have a washed out Von Miller eating up so much cap.
He’s an amazing wideout and the minute he’s gone, he’s not a number 1 receiver and he’s on the decline 😂
I don’t think he’s ever been a true number 1. High end 2. That’s always been true. Has been the last 2-3 years. If you Can’t beat press man, you can’t be a #1
He has the best success rate vs man coverage in the league 2 years ago.
Diggs complain every where he goes he was upsetting josh Allen
It’s pro football WR’s always get on the QB nerves. That’s nothing new.

@Scrooge1801 It was time. He is 30 going to the other side of his career. It’s been a good career. They need to get some young talent at that position. They can peak with Allen. It was the right move. Now Beane has to replace what was lost in trading Diggs.
Almost 40...had no idea the league tells GMs what players are worth....that job would be cool af😒
Diggs can go back to Paris and start his modeling career.
Diggs's stats are what they are. I'm not a Digfs fan; he can be a significant distraction, and he's 30, not 25, but his numbers are fantastic! To say he's not number 1 or there is no market is a lie. Greg is sharing his ‘opinion,’ which is not based on fact (it's based on emotion). Useless. ‘Xavier is a tough mid.’ what makes Greg say that?? Again, a feel-good if you are a Bills Fan, but not his opinion is useless.
Khalil shakir and the new guy who is digs replacement will be a better team dynamic than digs and Gabe
Ppl sleeping on Shakir ...He is a solid mid to high-end WR 2 ceiling
We are definitely going for a receiver first round
damn
I do not understand this analysis. Isn't Samuel a 4.3 guy, so why can't he be a field stretcher? Why is everyone sleeping on Troy Franklin ? Weight? Poor gauntlet at combine?? I see those as minor
From what I've seen, Franklin, Legette, Brian Thomas Jr, and others who should be around by pick 28 all seem viable future #1's. Samuel is perfect for the slot role in this offense. He will be very fun to watch. Loved Curtis over on the "Commanders" lol, he will do even better catching JA17 balls, trust me.
I really hope beane diesnt feel pressure to DRAFT a wr. You can give the bills justin jefferson and a young Moss...they aint going nowhere if they dont bolster the trenches.
what about justin shorter
Saying Diggs was never a real #1 is a really strange take. I get it, you’re glad he’s gone because the drama or whatever but that’s some bs
Josh Allen is far better spread the football type of quarterback his team then given credit for " Joe Brady will have time to give Josh Enough Wide reciver weapons and persistently move the ball up the field
The spin of the Bills and their talking heads on all these moves is astonishing. Bottom line is that they are trying to rebuild the core. They will be worse for years for making the moves they have… they know that Diggs wasn’t going to sit an let his last years sink down the drain on a losing team and knew they had to unload him. You got a low return, say what it is and be truthful to the fans… stop spinning it !!!

I don’t care how you do it Beane, but get it done!!!
Gonna have to trade up to get him. Cost prolly too high but gl!
Samuels the same as Diggs… WOW!!!
Just Ridiculous … The Spin continues!!!
I mean it was time for digs to go. He did in fact check out of the second half of the season last year. And let's face it he did not want to be here and he was upsetting the team as well as Bill's Mafia with all his drama every year. He knew something, remember that post he sent out ready for anything in the Houston Texans uniform. Well that's where he went. I mean now we're left without a number one or number two. I love Shakir but he's not a number one. The guys we just acquired are not number ones I don't even know if their a true number two. So we have to count on moving up in the draft. So now we're going to need to draft a number one and number two wide receiver. And hope they're ready to make a huge impact this year. We will see. Let's go Buffalo
What do you think Curtis Samuel is, chopped liver? He's EASILY a number 2.
@@djparsons7363 he might be but his numbers were not eye-popping to me. 6 years in the league 317 receptions for a little over 3,700 yd. That's like 600 yards per season. Stefon diggs head over 1100 yards per season. So like I said maybe. But we still need a number one
