That's a really great way to find codes! Not everyone has a tuner where you can read and clear codes.

I have a powervision for mine, but yes, tuners make it a lot simpler
On my return trip from Houston, the light came on with a brief loss of power. Had a few other minor hiccups on the way back. Day after I got back, it totally died when I came to a stop at a stop light. It later turned out the battery had vibrated loose.
A couple days ago a slip on fell off. It vibrated loose.
My ignition switch bolt snapped from vibration on the trip back from Houston.
Moral of the story is sporties vibrate. xD I have had to expand the list of fasteners I need to check once a month. Lol

Nice job. Haven't used a tuner like that. Some bikes have ODB2 Ports. Makes it even easier.

There isn’t one for Sportster before 2007. Touring models didn’t get one until 2001. OBD2 and diagnostic ports didn’t exist on any vehicle until 1994 and didn’t become standardized on new vehicles until 1996.
