Also for those that think they can outsmart the system- the drug dogs also are in port-going off ship and back on ship. Also note this- if you are applying cash or a gift card to the account DONT lose the reciept. Also don't discard that gift card even with the receipt. My son lost $100 in cash on a gift card I gave him to apply to his account because he threw the card away in the bathroom before boarding . Though the agent in the terminal said it would be on his account it did not appear and they WOULD NOT honor the receipt without the gift card number. MANY conversation attempts with the customer service folks (mostly email and telephone conversations) and he never got the money back, despite being told repeatedly that they would make it right. Trust but verity.
