I got into paper by scrapbooking. I stopped scrapping after my youngest died, it was too painful. I wandered into cards and eventually into journals. I love making them, all kinds. I made myself a large journal and journal 4-5 times a week. Ive made them for friends and my kids, even my boys. I use junk, my scrapping supplies and digitals creating journals. All shapes and sizes. I really enjoy your channel.

Thank you. I did find it difficult to explain why I make junk journals, when I would say it’s for fun and I enjoy making them for no reason they would look at me funny. I just shrug it off now and know that I don’t need their approval

Glad this video popped up. I was making a junk journal in a ring binder, bit of a cheat but I can throw a piece away or change the order. Mine is my daily organiser. I have samples of my stencils. Photos, Scripture verses. things I have learnt. bills, phone numbers and reminders. I also want to include ideas for the cards that I make and catalogue my craft supplies. Otherwise I have scraps of paper with to do lists on somewhere. It saves me from buying too many note books and I would like to try collage. Thank you for reminding me that I should have one playtime once a week for the theraputic benefits of creativity. I love junk and innovative recycling which appeals to my thrift/hoarding personality.
I make junk journals and just enjoy making them. I don’t want to sell them. If I see someone that I feel needs a little pick-me-up, I give them a journal. I have given one to each of my daughters and daughters in law. Also my granddaughters. They all LOVE them. Thanks for sharing your opinion about junk journals. ❤❤

Well said! 👋 Totally agree; especially about the evolution. I took a deep dive into JJing 2 years ago from my other creative pursuits and loving it. Looking at my first ever 2 journals and my current ones and they don't look like they've been made by the same person. Btw, new to your channel. Stumbled upon you a few weeks ago and decided to finally make my "Great Ugly Idea Book". (Tis "ugly" because I'm using my most neglected/unloved materials in my stash; but flip-side, it's eclectic!) I've gone through your Idea playlist and incorporated other ideas from templates I've saved. I'm enjoying the content here and thank you for sharing your creativity! 🥰

It's suppose to be fun, therapeutic, calming, enjoyable. Not to be something that creates anxiety, frustration, nor chaotic. You are right, we all have our own way to do things. I don't safe every little scrap of paper, box. There is plenty to go around everyday. I started to think that too much stuff, may be the culprit to the anxiety of my creating. No worries, just creating for the fun of it. I don't sell, I just give as gifts. Be still and breathe. Happy Journaling.

I just love paper, my favourite though, are paper pads, like stamperia. I sometimes tear into them and ink them to look old and worn. I do it to relax and just play . I do incorporate used things.
