"We cut out about 150 kilos"
Richard:"thats about 100 lbs"
No its about 330lbs
I was thinking the same thing lol
hahaha get his to the alementry school
2.2 pounds per kilo. Coke math.
I call the local dealer asked if that math was correct . he laughed. N i got pimp slapped
That's Richard all over - the smartest man in the room, and he needs you to know it 😉
The 308 is the only Ferrari I was aware of as a young teen-thanks to Magnum pi. Brilliant craftsmanship! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤟🏻
Who can forget Magnum Pi. I grew up in that era. I also recall the TestaRosa in Miami Vice & the black Daytona. Then I saw a GTO & fell in love. Today though, I think the 308 is the best looking of the bunch.
Guy- "we cut around 150 Kg"
Richard- " thats about 100 pounds"🤣
(Face palm)
Lol, gotta love him!
hahaha i was thinking the same thing
I think he confused converting weight with speed.
I nearly fell outta my chair... 🤣
Out of anything I have ever seen of Richard, this is the most real you can get. You can tell how much of gear head he really is, and at the same time, you see him interacting so casually with another gear head. You can tell the differences in thier types of character, but they blend so good together. Great showcase and interview.
Richard, 150kg is 330lbs. Cool car.
Lmao, his conversion is Hella off!
Well on Richard's defense....the dude did agree when Richard said "that's about a hundred pounds". Lol. He didn't correct him.
@@808G8GT lmao, he prob didn’t understand very well.
Everywhere else in the world measures in KG , even in England we moved to kg. so let’s just stick with 150kg
Math checks out
This show is getting better and better, that is one amazing 308 some serious work went into that carbon bodywork love it.
04:19 dude almost crapped himself when Richard let out the "WHOOO!" 🤣
Who needs to be on a tv channel anyway when you are Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage. Tv is an out dated media anyway and running your own show gives you 100% creativity and 100% of the revenue. Keep putting the awesome, "Rad" content out and us fans/supporters/viewers of what you do will keep watching and supporting what you do. Gas Monkey Garage is totally Rad!
They did that car justice! Huge weight reduction with a hood amount of power. Stunning looks!
He ruined it
Richard, I love the show! I’ve been a fan since Fast N Loud first came out years ago. The podcast is a really cool idea and looks great. Good job to the millennials for fixing sound on the fly during the beginning of the monkey trap recording!
Can't unsee the blue accent in the car matching the Smurf at 9:30. Still very cool!
Absolutely killer episode!!!! Love it!! Richard, this new format of the show is true POWER!!!!! GAS MONKEY RULES!!!
It’s tough to improve on the 308 design, though the 288 did the job. Love the idea of the carbon panels. Fit and finish looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
If I had the money I would NOT buy it, that car is too beautiful for me to comprehend. When you try to perfect something but actually succeed 😍😍
A lot of new Ferrari 308 content from ratarossi’s 308bbi, stancework’s kswap track attack 308 to tavarish’s car trek 308 which belongs to the wizard now and now this. This one is amazing. The interior is awesome looking. Richard said it best, you didn’t just redo it and screw up the genuine Ferrari. You made it better.
Damn that is cool, got an idea, just go and do it !!! AWSOME !
That's a beautiful build.
Do it do it do it!!! Magnum PI bumpers will be sick 👍
Needs the Magnum PI theme song to be playing
Beautiful reinvented 308.
Richard, he didn't say 150 KPH, he said 100 kilos. lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Almost 300 pounds :)
330 pounds Richard lol
Yeah 150 X 2.2, well you do the math...
Yup, I was going to go on here from Canada as I am aware of Kgs and Lbs
308 is one of my favorite bodystyles of all time.
That is awesome the dedication to detail is fantastic
Yes on the bumper cars 🤙🏼
The more I look at that car I like it. I am a truck guy but that car is great. Between truly classic and timeless.
Awesome!! Kept the classic look but man!!! It’s beautiful!
These guys built a bloody nice.
So impressed by this build. It would have been tempting and easy to go ugly. But they enhanced the original lines so carefully that at first blush you don't realize it has been widened/tweaked... you just know its the best looking 308 you've ever seen! Nailed the interior as well. And those wheels! Larger... but... again... original look! Incredible work.
Hello Gas Monkey Garage & Richard Rawlings,
The reaction after seeing this video was, did Jay Leno grow a beard ?
Loved the episode, looking forward for more clips like these. Much love from Romania.
absolutely rad. im a porsche guy so this being the singer inspired 308 is awesome. youre prob the guy i should have told this to first. for the last 2 years ive been commenting on video that somebody needs to do a singer inspired company building pre merger amg cars . like a 560 sec with a 6.2 supercharged e63 motor with the best parts avail. modern performance in a 1988 amg hammer w124 body. a new tt 4,0l in a 230 ce w123. ive watched these real premerger car sky rocket in value. so there has to be a market. there more 124's 126' 116's and r129's out there than 308's and 964's. plus those 80's amg cars are legendary badboy kickass cars. richard feel free to use the idea. your part savant with making $ in the car biz. i'd be happy to intern to get the project on its feet. good luck. think about it
What a car! Color from a old Fiat or something like, Italian are crazy when they decided to work hard
I love this kind of hi tech hide in a vintage original looking.
Very nice !
Love your studio.
Yo, Richard! Best Monkey Trap yet, Brother....Loved the exchange between you two....real natural, real organic....exactly what we want to see. Well done, Sir
Stunning work!
That is pretty awesome! If I won the lotto I'd put one in my garage for sure. I love that style 308
Nice build man big props!
Italian Style, can't be beaten - a stunning car that makes the 308 the car it should have been. Bellissimo!
Best 308 I've seen (that hadn't been widebodied)
Absolutely beautiful!
That's Italian Style Baby, Ciao Richard!
Oh yeah ,awesome work on the car. This show rocks, cheers from Australia
just wow! great work looks awesome
Holy Cow! What a head spinner! I recognized it .. Just that soon I said WTF! Wait..What.. ?!?! The lines have just enough finesse to jack with your mind! TOO Cool! The Color... For that car is perfect! Had to watch 3 times to collect my thoughts! I Just Love IT!
You know what dope about Richard? He will actually take the time to look at your car and possibly buy it off of you like that’s 1 of 1 experience in a life time
You can say what you want about Richard Rawlings what you want but the man inspires, he is a perseverance and a pure showman of course but he makes it happen with his incredible adventures that he experiences with his Gas Monkey! Probably next to Gold Rush, Fast and Loud is one of the best Discovery channel series. I also make a lot of videos about our company, staff and making the most beautiful furniture in the Netherlands and can say Richard Rawlings persist I follow you and find your videos inspiring and cool
Man that car is so dope
I absolutely love the 308. This is just the next level of awesome!
Custom Ferraris usually don't make it, but that one is exceptional, like a modernized 288 GTO.
Can't get enough monkey trap! Keep it coming!!!
Sweet version of the 308. Although that front end made me think it was a tweaked 328 before paying attention to the rest of the car.
The only thing I didn't like was the smurf blue on the exterior. Would have preferred just black.
My goodness this is gorgeous! I love it! Took a beautiful iconic car and made one for the 21st Century
My all time favorite is the testarosso. Always liked the 308 looks too. Didn’t realize till recently that the engine is a sideways v8. I knew it was a rear engine but didn’t know it was sideways.
Super Clean Super Nice... man, I love this car!!!
absolutely phenomenal!!!!
Love the content keep it up
That 308 is very very clean! Great build
A work of art
Huge fan of this car, great job!
Hot car, very very cool, I'd love to put an Edward Turner mini V8 in a GT6, love this.
Awesome build!
150kg is over 300lbs which makes that way more impressive! Beautiful car :)
Terminator Truck in Background.. cool
Love this new evolution podcast of fast and loud. Rich always trying to take it to the next level.
I love the 308. This is a nice tribute
Gorgeous Rari
Richard turns lemons into lemonade 😎
150KG is 330 LBs
haha yes. that was funny. Richards metric game is weak.
Someone does know the metric system lol
U wonder if David Lee is getting his cheque book out for one of these. He has most Ferraris on Jay Leno's channel.
He bought Alejandro’s Pagani
He does have his own CZcams as well, incase you are wondering
Leno Knows vehicles!. ,,,
props if real ..let me know pls.
I love it, looks fantastic
Beautiful car!
Gorgeous car!
It's amazing how it's as if this car was produced today. Just amazing
Damn he nailed it. I love the 308.
that is a super nice Ferrari
Cool car! I'm here for the algorithm Richard!
Awesome car!
1 of the few Ferraris I do like
Cool ...
Thats what they should do to all cool cars from the past ... to preserve the best classics ... 356 .. 'cuda ... etc ...
I'm a FERRARI nut... That looks super sick..
Only in America would someone do that to a Ferrari.
The owner is Italian
Carbon Fiber Body panels could literally happen on any car anywhere that somebody wants to go fast. especially cheesy things like bodykits and wings. Even before lots of carbon fiber people used fiberglass parts often to make things lighter. Idk wtf you're on about brotherrr. why would carbon fiber be about america at all when it was invented in England by this dude en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Swan (later inproved in ohio by en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Bacon_(physicist) )
That thing is gnarly af. I like the color scheme a lot.
WTF! That thing is wicked awesome!!!
Dennis will be all over this
This is such an awesome car. Class restomod. 308s deserved to be restomoded ala Singer Porsche.
Perfect representation of what a 308 would be like if it were produced more recently
That width and stance is busy fire
Magnum pi bumper cars a must!!!
When richard wowed at min 420 scared the shit out of the guest😂😂😂😂😂
You fuckin kidding me!! that thing is slick.
Love the Gas Monkey, but @ 3:50 Wut R THOSE!!!!
Great video
Nice ! Nice ! Very Nice ! Cpl. Dudes in the Same Device ! 👍🏁🇺🇸
The Wizard is rebuilding one right now from car trek that he bought from Tavarish
Making a one off is one thing. Going into production? I'd be surprised if Ferrari didn't sue.
150KG=330LBS....LOL! Come on now!
Needed to keep its pop-up lights Miss these on modern cars
Mechanism was expensive to maintain I guess.
Dream car!
REALLY well done..
REALLY nice. 10 years ago Carbon Fiber was a lot more costly, today that is doable ...
That's one ausome 308 man.!!
Really good job done. Only reservation is it means taking original 308's out of circulation. Would prefer that original cars are left alone. Maybe produce a clone from scratch or maybe not make as many as 40. Still a gorgeous effort
One of the 14 needs to be Tom Selleck
