A Real monster truck goes mudding at Mud Truck Madness. If you've always wondered how a monster truck would do in a mud bog now you sorta know FAIL. If it wasn't for his transmission locking up he might have made it all the way!! This was at MTM for the Trick Or Treat Halloween Team Truck Challenge 10-27-2018. Seen avenger run a pit in millington michigan when there use to be a bog on elis road, jim koehler showed up with two trucks to raise money for a childrens fund raiser, dont remember if it was for cancer or for foster care kids. Was probably one of the coolest things to ever happen in a town that has one traffic light.

The monster truck didn't make it to the end of the mud pit because the truck has a lot of traction and it's 4 wheel drive.
In a truck like that, there's only two was to do it. Either the way he did (slow and paddle) and hope you don't cook it, or fast and hard, and spend forever cleaning the muck out of everything.
I think he made the best choice. (Even if he baked his trans)

I'm surprised it even went in the mud. Those things are not set up for mud like that. Yeah lots of heavy duty parts but they get hot fast. I think had he mashed the potato and flung ish all to high heaven it would have dug in and bull dozed it's axles.
Cleaning those trucks isnt fun even when they arent that dirty

Unless you're on soft base. You spin the tires hard on soft base and watch as the bottom drops out from underneath you as you sink hopelessly into the mud

Gassing it would have drown the engine. They aren't water proofed at all. Monster trucks aren't mud trucks at all sadly.

The teams on hiatus. Shock Therapy and Ground Pounder have been in storage since 2017 and this is the most recent appearance of Sudden Impact. The team had financial issues last time I heard.

To all of you saying its a waste of time cause he drove slow. It wasn't even to keep it clean. Most monster trucks have massive bug catchers on them and im sure 50 lbs of mud going into your intake helps it run great 👍

Those trucks aren't built to run in mud and water at all... It would need water proofing if he wanted to sling shit in it. Plus they aren't built to run very long. I always wanted to see a monster truck hit the mud pits... and I have basically with trucks like Hammer Head and Mud Stick, Cleetus,
Louisianimal, King Sling etc

The mud and water would prevent an overheat. It must've been a leak, those trucks almost never see liquid. Try some formula hill climb next!

So yes, it's a real truck. Tv and monster jam circuits aren't the only reason why monster trucks would be considered real.
