- You’ve probably heard of Lent. It’s a 40-day season observed by the Catholic Church and by some Protestant denominations. But why 40 days? Where is Lent mentioned in the Bible? Should we get ashes and do public penance? Who started Lent in the first place?

God’s Final Word: His Son
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
The Son Superior to Angels
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,
“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father”[a]?
Or again,
“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son”[b]?
6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
“Let all God’s angels worship him.”[c]
7 In speaking of the angels he says,
“He makes his angels spirits,
and his servants flames of fire.”[d]
8 But about the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.”[e]
10 He also says,
“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”[f]
13 To which of the angels did God ever say,
“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet”[g]?
14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Who brought Christianity to Emperor Constantine?
Constantine recounted to Eusebius (1.29) his vision of the Cross appearing in the light of the sun with the instruction 'In Hoc Signo Vinces', by this sign conquer. Other reports claim different visions, and it is likely that Eusebius, a Christian, had convinced Constantine that this was a sign from the Christian God.

Why do you comment if you are NOT a Catholic? And you are just phising those our brother/sister Catholics who are not that faithful to our faith. Do you believe that ALL members of INC follow your church's rule on Dinuguan, Drinking Liquour, Pagsamba?

What verse in the Holy Bible written that Manalo is The Messenger or Angel?
Well, if you asked,, God is wise. Why would he do such thing?
Think about it,, if he placed it in the Bible,, the name of the messenger he chooses in these last days, can't that be a mess?
Well, there are people who copy the names written in the bible and make them their names. Just an example of the name of Moses, Abraham, or worse the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And when he directs to write the name of the person he will send as his messenger, aren't there people who can copy his name? And everyone would just like "I'm... the messenger of God in these last days".
The lesson of God is not just a lesson that you can read in a book and you will understand it right away, it is hidden in mystery... And more likely the one who he chose and called to be his servant will understand his will...

Did Nero crucify Peter?
According to Christian tradition, Peter was crucified in Rome under Emperor Nero. The ancient Christian churches all venerate Peter as a major saint and as the founder of the Church of Antioch and the Church of Rome

Is Masturbation bad, some people it's Not. Some Yes. What's the bible said in that topic? No one ever mension this is your video, why?
Tertullian, Irenaeus, and Athanasius are early Christians. Tertullian and Irenaeus lived in the 2nd century. St. Athanasius lived in the 4th century. I would much better believe them than guys who claim to be teachers and pastors whose "church" was founded in the 20th century.
Even if they lived in th 2nd or 4th Century, the teaching about "Lent" still cannot be traced back to the time of the Apostles.
@@roviecalbee2565 How do you know? Is the Bible already assembled and compiled in the second century? What about the oral tradition mentioned by St. Paul mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:14?
The "TraditIon" mentioned in the II Thess. 2:15, is NOT the tradition you're thinking. Apostle Paul said "Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the TRADITIONS which ye HAVE BEEN TAUGHT, whether BY WORD, or OUR EPISTLE."
The "Tradition" Taught by the Apostles by Word or Epistle is certainly the Gospel. And that what we can read in the verse 14. In II Thess 2:14-15 NIV, These are the TEACHINGS taught by the Apostles. Therefore, it is the Words of our Lord God being mentioned in verse 15 as "Traditions" that were taught by the Apostoles.
So, is "Lent" one of the teachings of the Apostles? The Catholic priests and authorities themselves already admitted it. According to their book, The Question box, p. 442, Lent is only FIRST mentioned in the council of Nicea in 325 AD. In the book entitled "The externals of the Catholic Church" the priest clearly said "We CANNOT ASSERT POSITIVELY that LENT can be TRACED BACK to the Apostles". So to whom should i believe, to you or to the testimony of the Catholic priests?
Thus, it is clear that the Apostles DID NOT teach regarding "Lent". Hence, "Lent" is NOT Biblical but "Tradition of men". And apostle Paul clearly said in Col. 2:8 "BEWARE lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the TRADITION OF MEN, according to the basic principles of the world, and NOT according to Christ."
@@roviecalbee2565 Why do you insist that Lent is not Biblical when St. Paul speaks of tradition by word (oral tradition) and by letter (written tradition)? Since ORAL tradition is NOT WRITTEN, how would you know? Wouldn't it the early Christians living in the THIRD century that would know what oral traditions they RECEIVED from the Christians of the SECOND century?
You should only believe in the Bible, If you're doing in your church is not in the Bible, it is only a tradition. I am just concern for you my dear friend. I don't want to hurt your feelings.
