    I am just looking for some help or tips to write a simple CL program where we can get the values in a file which I can send to an email everyday. Like the System ASP, Message Wait in QSYSOPR, Any Active Messages in WRKPRB and Daily Tapes used by BRMS backup, etc.
    If you have any reference or similar program, please let me know, it will help me to eliminate some manual tasks.

    thanks for sharing, is "dump" will be re -run all process again? how the behavior if that happen in looping record , is program will read for first record again or just continue the next record .(after fixing the code and retry )

    • @yusy4code
      @yusy4code  Před 6 lety

      When we give dump, the program terminates and call stack return to previous program. If we re-try then again the program starts to execute from beginning.
      Do watch my another video about production support for more info. czcams.com/video/j0T15OTWnGQ/video.html

    hi yusuf...what is the difference between dump and retry in this scenario

    • @yusy4code
      @yusy4code  Před 6 lety +3

      Dump will stop the program and creates dump log and go back to the previous program in call stack. Retry will try to execute that particular line of code.

    So whats the problem with mobile it was a 10 number long variable 0000012345? Why did it error?

    • @yusy4code
      @yusy4code  Před 4 lety

      Wes C the error is at line 28, in which we tried to assign time stamp to 10 digit mobile field so we got issue . We didn’t get error at line mobile = 12345

    • @WJC1981
      @WJC1981 Před 4 lety

      @@yusy4code I think I misunderstood in the joblog the variable is shown as having a value of 1234500000 which is 10. Is the issue that mobile already has a value of 12345 and we are then trying to add timestamp onto that?
