I grabbed a baby turtle up one time like that at the lake. It went under water, and was sitting under a leaf right by the bank. He thought I couldn't see him. 😂

That tree may be too old, but it MIGHT turn into multiple trees. There is an oak that fell on my parents property during Katrina. Still alive in 2021. But its main branches that pointed upwards, have turned into full blown trees. It grows wild and natural on the edge of a small deer field. Like said "mother nature finds a way to survive!!"

when I was younger i had a fish tank and I had caught some crayfish for the first time in a creek nearby...I took them home and added them to the tank in my living room , which was down the hall from my room. this one day, I'm picking up clothes from my closet and I found the biggest one of those guys all chilling under a t shirt...definitely caught me off guard

I couldn't even keep mine alive. I caught some out of my pond and put them.In a stock tank made a filter and air stones and they wouldn't eat. Had a few small bass and bluegill.

That toad was pretty lucky that your largemouth bass bonnie and clyde and outlaw the bluegill and other fish in your pond did not catch it but they will eventually I love hearing the frogs chirp spring peepers are my favorite
