Thank you so much! This is very helpful! I've tried it and it works perfectly. I'm able to go 500-600m away and up to max altitude of 500m with no signal interference in the city center. Previously, I am only able to go around 200m of distance and around 150m of altitude.

The hack works great. In semi rural area before the hack, on 5.8G, i could get 600-700meters max. Now i can go easily to 1600m and my best i 1800m, while 2.4g made it to 1200m and connection lost. Thx for the guide and making my mini usable :)

@@himen5555 działa ale powiem szczerze że prawie różnicy w zasięgu nie zauważyłem. Możliwe że mój dron był już wcześniej jakimś innym sposobem przerobiony bo ja jestem jego którymś właścicielem. Ale ogólnie bez problemu zrobiłem to według instrukcji i wszystko ok.

Indeed, you need an older Android version for Dji Fly 1.2.1 to work. On Android 12 it does not but on an Android 8 tablet it worked. Thank you!

Влад, добрый вечер! Делаю все по инструкции, телефон андроид перевёл в режим разработчика, зашёл на сайт и скачал версию приложения 1.1.2 и установил на телефон. Фэйк жпс скачено и установлено местоположение Боливия Санта Круз. Подключаю пульт и включаю приложение, все как в инструкции, включаю пульт и дрон, затем в приложении нажимаю галочки и выскакивает сообщение, что идёт сброс местоположения ( главное сообщение), но затем приложение просит зайти в аккаунт, игнорирую и открываю настройки в приложении; частота все-равно 2.4 ГГц. и частот 13 штук. Может подскажете что я делаю не так??? Раз пять удалял приложение и скачивал заново и повторял весь процесс заново, но не получается! Буду очень признателен если поможете выяснить в чем проблема!

Привет. Зделал хак все работает четко ... В городе дрон улетать начал на 1400 -1600 метров на частоте 5.8 с лопухами на антеннах ... Очень доволен доволен .. при том что я с Украины а тут был открыт 5.8 ( но сила сигнала была зажата ) теперь все четко ...на 2.4 думаю теперь можно в поле улететь на 3 км ... Больше и не надо по батареи ... Спасибо за хак .. вы супер человек

@@dvsls good question. The page should not go down - github is free and backed by Microsoft. However, as a backup, I'd suggest two options:
1. you could just save the web page to your computer. It is self-contained, single html file, it only references external stylesheets. So a saved local copy of the web page should do the job as well, but I did not check yet.
2. the original hack was developed with Python language, here's the link to check: gist.github.com/sergiks/687415247eca5a2f2e1ed8677c3b4749 - two python files and the instruction. You could keep a copy of those files and run locally. Have to install Python and its "Serial" module.

Бомба , все работает , разработчику респект , единственное что пришлось брать чужой телефон и туда скачивать приложение , потому что на моем телефоне было последнее приложение и при установке старого оно просто не работало ( думаю dji спецтально так сделали)
Теперь понял почему у меня не получилось с заменой версии на старую... спасибо за подсказку! попробую на чистом телефоне повторить.

I need to remove your patch from my CE controller (MR1SD25). I've read your description to "undo the patch" :
1- connect the controller to the computer.
2- Turning it on
3- and clicking on the button "undo patch"
But after that I can always switching my controller in 5.8 GHz (the stock controller only got the 2.4 GHz). I've try all the previous steps to undo the patch with the "Experimental Web Platform features" unable and disable, and i still can't remove my controller to it's original state... did I do something wrong ?

Hi, did it display the "Patch removed" message after the click? If it did, then after the drone and remote are outdoors, so that aircraft receives GPS signal, is should only offer channels 1..13 which are 2.4 GHz. If the location you are in suggest only using that range.
I understand that it cannot be used with a more modern version of DJI Fly? only DJI Fly v.1.6.9?
So this extends the range to 2km or 4km?
I can make upto 1200 meters away with the stock CE.
"your mileage may vary". This only removes local country restrictions, that DJI applies, if any.

1.1.2 is an old app version, which only runs on Android up to v.10. Please try on an older phone, this is done only once.

I did this hack before, and im 100% sure, the change of landcode from 0 tot 1, only affects the 5,8ghz band and not the 2,4ghz band.
Thats why it is actually a hack to force de CE European model in to boost FCC mode, which is the normal mode in USA on channel 5,8ghz. They dont have any 2,4ghz mode.

After rewriting the firmware with dji assistant 2, the message appears again at each start that "the wifi settings are switched ...." and I see the FCC frequencies in the transmitter settings. So the firmware rewrite shouldn't cancel this hack?
Hack affects a config file which persists during firmware updates.

Hi, is it safe to apply this hack to v.600? If I apply it on this firmware and aircraft fails to connect to the RC, is it possible to rollback it to the original state (via browser or via DJI Assistant)? Or will the damage be permanent and RC will never connect to the aircraft again? I have both RC and aircraft in v.600 and I am a little bit afraid of this hack, but I really want it because near our village, where I am flying mostly, I am not able to reach over 300m distance... I have applied the patch and it works sooo well !
My drone was "patched" not permanently to fcc mode. I can confirm that I had 11 channels and now, with thte patch I still have 11 channels.
My drone is located in the USA (not Bolivia), that's probably why you have 13 channels in your video ?
However this hack is fantastic and works so well.
I will now remove the 1.08 version and jumps back to the lates DJY fly :-)

In my case, I first used the hack, then upgraded firmware to v.600. Both on AC and on RC
@@SergeiSokolov22 already upgraded firmware on both RC and AC before applying hack. Only issue I've noticed is that the latest DJI app displays a banner saying it's trying to change the region setting, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
@@an1_uk that notice is legitimate: meaning the hack works. What version of the DJI Fly app are you on?
Some mentioned that the most recent versions cause problems with the hack. I'm on DJI Fly 1.6.9 and will try to not upgrade it.

With the 400 firmware. I have used the patch. Not sure if it was working because it was still showing channel 12 and 13. Then I used the Unpatch button. Now I am not able to pair the controller with the drone anymore!

Yes, it does. This method locks selected country settings on any Mavic Mini. (Not Mini 2 !)

Despite all the comments here, this still works with the latest .600 firmware without any issues! The only problem I had is that the 1.1.2 Fly app kept crashing on Android 12, so I grabbed an older phone with Android 10, and did the Fake GPS part there.
Also, a correction: the fact that you see 5.8Ghz and 3-digit channels in the Transmission settings doesn't mean it's succeffully in FCC mode. It also does that in CE mode. The real way to check if your drone is in "boosted" FCC mode is by looking at 2-digit channels: if you only see 1-11, you did it correctly, as you're in FCC mode. If you see 1-13, you're in "bad" CE mode.
I doubt the "2-digit" suggestion. US and Bolivia both allow max radio power. But the US only allows channels 1..11 in 2.4ghz range, whereas Bolivia lets channels 1..13
@@SergeiSokolov22 Oh, right, that makes sense. I was wondering why in your video you had 13 channels there... I placed the fake GPS in the US, I didn't know the restrictions worked like this. But what I said still applies: the fact that you see 5.8Ghz in the frequency field and that you see 3-digit channels doesn't mean you're in FCC mode. 5.8Ghz is also enabled in CE mode, but much more restricted. So I don't know if you can tell apart Bolivia and Europe modes...

Yes, you can. Changes are applied to the Remote Controller and the Aircraft.
Sergei, any tips on how doing that with a Mini SE? The controller is the same from Mavic Mini. I did it, and it immediatelly gave me the "Congratulations! Your Mavic Mini is patched", but how do i make sure it actually worked? DJI Fly 1.1.2 didn't support Mini SE, so i could see the camera after faking the GPS, but got no data inside the Transmission tab. Thankss
Hi, I had no chance to try it with Mini SE. After applying the patch to the Remote Controller (RC), old 1.1.2 Fly is no longer needed. What do you see in the new Fly after the RC patch, when connectiong to your Mini SE ?

@@tukangbobo hello. there's no way i could make sure it's working. apparently not, because of the app, since 1.1.2 didn't support the SE, i couldn't check the data inside the transmission tab. My DJI Fly didn't show any message about region change at all, till today :/

Hi, the answers were in the video. FakeGPS only required once to apply the hack. Than remove it and use drone as usual. The only drawback is the warning message that will appear re "resetting wireless settings" - meaninng the hack is working.

I have problem with connecting controller to my pc, it cant find that my controller is connected. I was trying on opera, chrome and edge and its not working :( should I install any drivers to my controller first ? I can see "There was an error opening the serial port."

Привет, Сергей! У меня странный вопрос. Короче купил я мавик мини в Малазии. Живу в России. Там в магазине можно было заказать версию FCC. Сейчас гляжу настройки, а там в принципе нет каналов 1-13. Только американские. Но хак всё равно сделал, полагаю мощность он ведь тоже меняет в зависимости от локации. Получается я купил хитрую версию зря? (ведь у меня урезанный диапозон частот, только американский)

на fcc версию, говорят, лучше не делать этот хак, а только раз сделать часть с fake gps. Без хака пульта. Якобы, так он застрянет в режиме штатов из-за бага, и будет в любой стране летать на мощности сша. А с хаком пульта мощь будет чуть ниже на FCC минике. Так что можно откатить пульт к исходному состоянию второй кнопкой.
Я не проверял, у меня только CE версия есть. Но утверждали это в тг чате люди, заслуживающие доверия.

Метод не совсем понял. Откатываю хак. Цепляю к андроиду с фэйк локацией со старым софтом dji. Включил выключил. И потом использовать на новом софте? (Летаю с айфоном)

Yes, this is normal. This is caused by the AC trying to switch back to local limitations and the RC preventing that.
@@SergeiSokolov22 if this is a way to know that the patch was successful, you could add that into the guide as a "patch check". I am also getting this popup after every reboot.

Hi, check the "Radio settings" - if the number of channels has increased: both 1..13 and 1xx..165 channels visible.
Warning will not display when selected range is the same as the default one for the country.
In example, before hack there were only channels 1..13. After the hack channel is Auto-selected, or Manually selected channel 7, in instance. Then no warning would appear.
But if channels >100 became available after the hack, and you select one of them - then the warning will appear when drone is connected to the remote.
This is awesome thank you! Just FYI - I only have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus and the fly app V1.1.2 will not run on it. As I had nothing to lose, I followed your instructions getting the latest Fake GPS app from the play store and the DJI Fly v 1.4 from the Samsung store (the only one that works). The whole thing still worked perfectly. Plus, after patching, I tried the mini with the latest app and firmware from my iPhone and it also worked perfectly. Would be really interested to know how many db the CE version puts out in 2.4 and 5.8 ghz after patching. Thanks so much for sharing.
I too had the same problem with Android 11, I performed the patch with the version 1.4.8 patch successfully applied, but at each start, I see that the signal is adapting to the current regulations of my country, but in 5.8 GHz signal seems significantly improved, I would like to know if even if the message appears at every boot, the patch remains the same.
I tried 1.4 but that one wouldn't open either. I have an s20+

для FCC железа, вроде бы лучше не хак, а один раз сделать Fake GPS на USA и подключиться к дрону. После этого, якобы, из-за бага, так и сохранятся настройки по максимуму. У меня не было возможности проделать это самому, мой дрон европейский CE. Лучше уточните в чате в тележке mavicminirus
What about the hardware differences? Mavic Mini has two different pcbs, ce and fcc.
3 different hardware versions of Mavic Mini, that I am aware of: FCC, CE and a version for Japan, under 200g. This tweak "freezes" the country settings of the drone selected with the help of Fake GPS. For FCC version, it might affect signal strength - which DJI might reduce when in CE countries.
So Mavic Mini FCC Version in USA better than Mavic Mini CE Version in USA on signal strength.
If we look at the CE and FCC versions of Mavic Mini boards, we can see some component differences for the signal strength. Also thanks for this tweak.

I'have applied the hack. My app shows now more channels. Should I leave it on auto mode - the app will know better which chanell to use?, or maybye I should pick the 5.8 GHz channel manually before each flight (if there is no inteference of course) thx!
Hi, this depends on the environment.
In my case, there's a lot of radio pollution in the 2.4 GHz range, so I decided to manually pick a channel in 5.8GHz range. "Your mileage may vary"
