    Victor D. Brenner's design came from a parlor card(carte de visite)of Abraham Lincoln from photographer Mathew Brady

    Interesting content. Back in the early 1990's I went to bank for some rolls of pennies and much to my surprise they were 1959, 1959-D, 1974 and 1974-D all uncirculated. In all I have 23 rolls and finally today I opened the first roll and wow all have the bright orange-red color I then picked out the 7 best that have no noticeable scuffs to the naked eye. To be honest I'm not sure what to do now so I watched this video.

      Thanks for watching, these are by far the most work I've ever done in producing content. It's 4-5 hours from the time I hit the start button on my camera, to the publish button on CZcams. I know they will never get tons of views, but no one else is making these types of videos, so hopefully people who truly love shiny round things will benefit from them.

    This video is a huge help! Thank you! I collect wheats of course. However I collect mostly the era from 1959 - 1973. I have some errors and many deep red/orange tones.

    Thank you so much we are apprciative of this vlog..I have just subscribed. My husband and I are new to coin collecting and fell into it through sad circumstances. Each of us lost a parent with in 6 months who left us an amateur coin collection..after 5 years of just never looking at it we dug our heels in and have for almost 6 months tried to learn coins. Now we actually cherry pick ourselves through penny rolls ( my favorite) and nickol rolls( his) However, your vlog was quite informative! 👌 and I hope to start applying it to coins I may ( very tentative on ghe May lol) send in to grade. Ty keep on vlogging.

      I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how difficult losing a parent can be. I'm glad you found this series, and there are more videos like it coming. Eventually I want to do every US coin, gold and silver, but that will take some time. Thanks for subscribing, see you in the comments!!

    These coin-grading videos are fantastic. I took pictures of your heat maps and printed them out! LOL Can you PLEASE do a video about how to tell if a steel penny has been plated or not? I sent one in I got from a dealer and it came back as damaged, plating. I swear it wasn't!

      Thank you for watching and your kind words! I'm sorry that I can't help you about plated steel pennies, not my area of expertise at all. Grace and peace to you!

    Question is a 1964 D penny worth grading.

  • @sf3486
    @sf3486 Před 5 měsíci +2

    A video that simplifies MS grading and what makes a high grade and what makes a low grade and if it is okay to wash and clean old coins or better to leave as is for ootimum.value would be very helpful.
    This video didn't seem to tell me what makes a ms 65 or ms 67 coin and what to look for and what distinguishes a low grade from a high grade or what distinguishes for instance a rare valuable no mint mark (philly) 1975 penny from the many billions minted?
    Many videos touch on it yet none explicitly say what distingusishes the very rare from the very common of the billions made.
    If it's the grade that distinguishes then say it is simply the condition and clarity of the coin and nothing else or its certain features that are on only a handful of the billions made?

      If you shed that extra chromosome, read the title, and applied a bit of common sense, you would realize that there is no reason this video would live up to your arbitrary expectations.
