Great video. Detailed, and helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I've got the GRAVEL Explorer kit as well. This thing is rad. I take it with my one even one-day trips because it's just so practical and useful. I've used the inside 'kit' aka the silicone bag as an emergency bag when something is leaking or broken in my suitcase (life saver). Glad you pointed out the toothbrush sleeve can hold an electric toothbrush as well. This dopp kit + my Nomatic duffel and I'm down to travel anywhere.
Hell of a combo for sure!!
I have the Nomatic toiletry bag 2.0 in small and regular. Love them! I also use Stasher bags for liquids and such, as I have different sizes.
I like the Nomatic Bag as well
Perfect options for my hemorrhoid cream! Thank you!
An ideal location for sure! Glad to help!
What's your go-to dopp kit? Let me know below 👇
I am using the peak design one. While it is bulky, it fits all my full sized items. Can't get enough of the sage green. I wish more of their products ad that color.
@@CannabisTechLife love the sage green
Small sea to summit. Very light weight and can hold lots if properly packed.
@@markpuffer9615 I'll check it out!
I was just looking at dopp kits earlier this year in advance of a trip to alaska. I sorta fell on the minimalist end, basically the smallest bag I can fit all that stuff in works. I ended with a clear plastic one from osprey. The hanging feature does seem nice, especially if you end up living out of your suitcase end up in different places a lot with no time to settle in.
hanging = crucial feature for me
I use the small sea to summit toiletry bag. Very light weight and I fill ,you own containers as needed.
good to know!
Fantastic video, as usual Aaron! I have used the Gravel for quite some time, but have recently changed to using the Peak Design one and for me, the Peak Design is easier to use, holds everything that I took with me in the Gravel one and the best thing is that you can open it, place it in a flat surface of the toilet for example and take what you need from it directly without using any extra space in for example a small hotel toilet. Plus, I personally found it nicer looking. Gravel is good, but Peak’s is better, at least for me.
Thanks Teddy! Peak Design for me as well, but I was def impressed with Gravel's design too
One thing (which eventually made me order the PD over the AER, besides that are was out of stock).... not bl00dy dark lining. It makes finding and cleaning so much easier with a bit of contrast
totally agree!
Gravel is a pretty dopp company. Thanks for showing off these guys.
Yea man, first product I’ve reviewed from them but I was really impressed
I have the Gravel Explorer Max. Great for family travel
Yea really impressed with them
Great review as always ,i would add heimplanet's dop kit they have a very interesting design although it can be more on the maximalist side😅
thanks for the rec - I'll check it out!
Nice video review. I was introduced to other brands in this video. I might check out some of these brands.
I got Herschel Dopp Kit, compact, spacious enough for all my toiletries and it serves its purpose.
Herschell makes solid gear for the price for sure
@@Nomads.Nation 👍
I have used the Gravel Explorer for several years now, ever since their very first Kickstarter. I absolutely love the thing, and the choice of a hook-and-loop hanging system over just a regular large hook, is just genius. I can hang this kit around so many differently sized knobs, hooks, poles, pipes and what have you, that a regular large hook might not be able to. The construction overall holds up very well too, it looks brand new even after all these years. My only gripe is that it frels a little too long to fit sideways in a lot of smaller overnight bags, which does feel a little wasteful when it comes to packability.
Great analysis dude! And solid points about the hook system
I gotta say, somehow i ended up with the VertX Contingency Outbound dopp kit and its got pouches for organization, velcro pockets & crazy HQ materials, water resistance and big enough for everything. The see-through mesh doesnt have any perforations, its their own material and much less likely to rip due to its construction. Highly recommend.
good looks!
Beard Oil.?! Great choices mate. With the less expensive ones, we would recommend using transparent zip lock bags for organisation & customizing. They're all good, functional & logical items, furthermore we don't really need a Gucci for toiletries do we? Our go to dopp kit....a K-mart special canvas pencil case. After 4 yrs of abuse through Uni & it still rockin" matey.! Cowabunga vid AR..! FYI we get multiple choices with dopp kit from Taiwan & China, the list is endless & very affordable. Cheers cobber.!
gotta keep the beard oiled 🤠
Hi Aaron can you do a review about ADV jetpack backpack? would like to know your thoughts about a dedicated tennis bag. cheers!!
Yo dude! Thanks for the suggestion but it’s very unlikely I’ll review a tennis bag since I don’t really play 🎾
The gravel shower bag can also be purchased separately, its my favorite short trip toiletry bag, it has a hanging strap unlike a lot of other bags of that size, and it also doubles as a TSA bag. Its also affordable. I use it independently, i don't use the gravel toiletry kits, only the clear shower bag
oh yea, its awesome
The new dopp kit from black ember ive been enjoying..works well with the dex 45. Flat bottles are best ive found and 2oz bottles to me are the sweet spot
I haven't tested it out yet - hopefully soon!
@@Nomads.Nation that dex system is a lot of fun. Needs some refinements in some areas imo but they nailed the basics pretty well at least for how I travel. I think you'll really dig the boarding kit. Just a groovy piece of carry
@@justinschneider1379 hell yea I've heard great things
I have the gravel slim which I love but there are a few things because of the size my electric toothbrush has to be separate. I got the slim because most of my travel is air travel and I have to use the 311 bag so the size of this one is perfect. I did debate about the larger size. Love the product.
yea they take dopp kitts very seriously lol
I love the slim as well!
@@joshschneider2548 hell yea!
was there a wee Clan quote? Nearly heard C.R.E.A.M..... and my heart jumped off floading joy
dolla dolla bills ya'll 😎
I used the Comfyable to carry my medication and medication supplies, and then my Gravel Explorer Slim for everything else.
Nice combo!
@@Nomads.Nation I absolutely love the slim. It fits all my stuff nicely. I double up the soap with a matador soap bar case and then have minimal other toiletries. I’ll be testing this setup with the Comfyable and Explorer Slim in a small Swiss Gear bag in a couple of weeks. I know there are better bags out there, but this size works and so does the layout. My only hope is the bag holds up since I know the quality isn’t on par with the better brands out there.
@@joshschneider2548 be sure to keep us posted how it goes!
Any plans on reviewing the nomatic toiletry kit? It looks very nice.
not in our immediate future no, but it does look nice!
What about evergoods cap2 for dopp kit ? Have you tried the evergoods Ctb26 yet? It seems as an awesome bag! Looking forward to your review if you are planning on checking it out
haven't checked it out yet - hopefully soon!
CAP2 is great pouch as edc, but it’s harder to clean when used as dopp kit - wet stuff, beard trimmer, etc.
@@ZBB8 totally makes sense
LOL'd at the tossing of the cheaper bag when going thru the Gravel Bag and how it won't fit bulky items. 11:34
been real cheap bag ✌️
Have you tried the Boundary Dop Kitt, Port kitt ? . What is your opinion about that
I have yes, it's a great one! To be honest, most Dopp Kitts get the job done - the ones I picked here are just to show a variety of use cases and budget option
I like the peak too, but what do you think about the bellroy toiletry kit plus?
haven't tested it, but Ive heard good things (it's Bellroy, can't really go wrong)
@@Nomads.Nation ok thanks.
I feel like the Tom Bihn Spiff Kit should be on this list
I’ll be sure to check it out!
The first one is good for a weekend trip. Toothbrush, small deodorant, some medicine, small toothpaste, some lotion.
all day
The Aer Dopp kit 2 didn’t make it on your list?
I like the Travel Kit more
Yeap travel kit is aer's best 👌
@@alexandermoursiotis1465 love it

Took me a minute to figure out that the close up shots aren’t your hands 💅😂
Yea haha, we have a big team and everyone contributes to different parts of the process
Man, what i learned from this is that guys have it sooooo east to pack toiletries!!!
I NEVER buy black-on-black bags anymore...too hard to see inside in a dark hotel. I need bright interiors!
Good call!
what is a dopp kit?
a small pouch for hygiene products.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
The Brown Buffalo:

- Dopp Kit - CORDURA Black Nylon Ballistic with orange lining
Heimplanet:

- Carry Essentials Dopp Kit (V2)
Goruck:

- Shadow Pockets 3L / 4L

- GR1 or GR2 Field Pocket
Thanks for those Phil!
Big fan of the osprey ultralight zip organizer. Has great organization for a larger number of thin containers, external access to the central compartment when it's in its "closed" state, detachable clear liquids pouch, hanging hook, and light weight as the name implies. If you have quite a few products that you use but only need a small amount of each for a given trip duration, I've found this to be the best for storing them in a compact package that still allows easy access. i.imgur.com/VHKDMmh.jpg
great suggestion - your dopp kit game is def on point!
