Heyy guyss, i would like to give you a recommendation to react The First Slam Dunk Movie by Takehiko Inoue. It's one of the best sports manga and anime of all time. This show is on same level with Haikyuu and maybe arguably better than Haikyuu. In fact, the author of Haikyuu was inspired by Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk Writer's). The animation is on another level, It's very good at giving the impression of real basketball movements. More importantly, I want to know from your perspective about The First Slam Dunk Movie. Astumu telling Hinata that he will be setting to him one day was such an underrated moment. From Hinata asking anyone and everyone to set for him... to see one of the best setters we've seen on this show acknowledge his skills was so rewarding to watch!
It's not Hinata skills necesserily, before the match he even says Hinata sucks directly to Kageyama. Sure Hinata showed us improvement during the match, and Atsumu saw that. But I got that he was talking about how Hinata were so willing to spike the settings no matter how it was, that he was the one pushing Kageyama to his limits. And as a setter himself, Tsumu respects that, and sees as a challenge aswell.
He didnt get the MVP, but i just wanted to give my shoutout to Takeda sensei, the actual GOAT of the series and the boys career. Started with 0 knowledge of the sport and 0 reasons to compromise with the club and yet he has organized almost all the practices and events that led Karasuno to its key moments and tremendous opportunity for improvement, and i bet he's still underpaid as a regular professor. And he's not done yet.
Don't know if you've realized it yet, but the moment Hinata became really hooked on volleyball wasn't a powerful spike he's always been obsessed about, it's actually a solid receive.
Is no one going to mention how Ange switched back to the first ever OP of Haikyuu in the intro???? MY TEARS WELLED UP SO QUICK HOLY SHIT. *Imagination* will always be so nostalgic to all the Haikyuu fans and I'm so happy that they did the same as the episode and brought it back with the final episode of season 4😭😭

Been here since arcane too! I love these guys!! Also yes!!! The manga is soooooo worth it. It's also in my top 3 manga of all time but i get a lot of hate for putting haikyuu in top 3 but it is tho because it's as realistic as life gets but still so hopeful and motivational.

One thing I love to point out is on the Miya twins last minus tempo quick. When Atsumu says “This Position, this timing, this angle, it’s perfect” is the same thing Kagayama said at the end of season one when the original quick was blocked by Aoba Josai
Long time Channel watcher, long time Haikyuu fan. Here is my list! Top 3 from Karasuno: 1: Hinata. I think the main reason for Hinata being so high is his entire character development from season 1 episode 1 is beautiful. He goes from just wanting to spike a ball and being the next Little Giant, to learning mid-air battles with the help of Ukai and Kageyama, to learning the beauty of a good receive and pass. There are lots of video essays on youtube that go really in-depth on this, and it really makes you love Hinata. 2: Sugawara. I know a lot of people like Sugawara, but he's not a starter so him being top 3 may not be particularly popular. My favorite thing about Suga is that he ISN'T a starter. He still stays as a 3rd year to play for the team despite it cutting into his university prep time, he still gives 110%, is there to mentally support the team, and all around he just does all he can to be that positive influence the team needs when they are feeling down or playing rough. 3: Coach Ukai. Really unpopular pick here, but my god do I love coach Ukai. I got into Haikyuu because I was a professional League of Legends coach, and someone said my coaching style was similar to his (Season 1 was airing live at the time), so I had to go watch the show and see what they were talking about and got hooked. He has his growth as a coach, from being begged to join because of his family name to wanting to watch them grow after the first Nekoma practice match. He used to be a player himself but wasn't good enough to go pro despite how much he loves the game, so went to coaching instead, and all of that really heavily hits home with me for both Ice Hockey and League of Legends. Every coach from any sport should conduct themselves the way he does in this show. And finally, my favorite rival: Bokuto. The last scene of Bokuto, in Season 4 Episode 25, shows his glaring passion to win. Again, another character I relate to heavily. When I played Ice Hockey as a teenager, all I wanted was to win, and I was pretty good for a while after being fairly bad. I had my "moment" in Hockey that really got me hooked, just like Bokuto did with his line shot that he mentions to Tsuki. The intensity and love for volleyball is so underrated from Bokuto, he doesn't care who he's against and oftentimes would rather face the stronger opponent and have to push himself to the extreme every time than face a weaker opponent on paper and not have to level-up during the game. Thank you both for watching this through and loving a series that I hold so dear to my heart. I haven't commented on any other of your videos, as I'm not often a youtube commenter, but watching you watch my favorite anime has been incredible. I hope you both continue to love Haikyuu even after the movies are released and done. Much love.

Those two girls were nekoma supporters and the player's family..the tall blonde is sister of Lev and small one is younger sis of taketora(tanaka twin) you have seen them in the nekoma match episode.
The girls at the end where Lev and Yamamoto's sisters (Alisa and Akane) from the OVAs. People seem to forget them but that was Saeko's first time meeting them. Also Akane is captain of Nekoma's cheer squad which was said in the OVA so we may see some tension in the cheer stands.
Haikyuu is the only anime which if you do a re-watch after 2 years, I will still watch it. As the Haikyuu fans know, the real love for Haikyuu develops after multiple re-watches. ❤❤❤
My top 3 1. Kita, I love him for what you guys loved him for as well, him being so serious all the time made me really like him once he showed that more human side of him where he gets emotional from getting noticed and earning his spot as a captain and also him being proud of his team after the loss really showed how much he truly cared and loved his team. 2. Atsumu, I really love his dedication to his craft (showed especially in the scene where he explains why he sets with his all of his fingers instead of just a simple underhanded set) and how he has the skills to prove his confidence. 3. Noya or Kageyama, Kageyama is also like Atsumu really dedicated to his craft but he unfortunately I like Atsumu's character design and personality better 😂and for Noya is his dedication to his role and how relatable he is for me. My heart is both fulfilled and sunken. My 50th Rewatch of Haikyuu Anime was undoubtedly the best rewatch yet. I loved your reactions to the series thoroughly and I am damn sure I will miss them. Thank you for being such a great source of entertainment to me for the past 7 months ( side note :- I initially wrote 3 months as I thought it had been that long but I went to check and realized that IT'S BEEN 7 WHOLE MONTHS MY GOD. THE TIME FLEW BY!!! ) . I know you guys like to keep things fresh around here just like most of the reactions channels but trust me when I say this, Haikyuu only gets better with every rewatch. It is a general census throughout the fandom. If you ever get the time, ( I know it will be very hard becuz your schedule is always packed ) rewatch Haikyuu...someday, somehow. Honestly, if you upload your rewatch on YT I don't think any of us will even be a tad bit angry because the show is just truly deserving of the title, " PEAK OF FICTION " . One of the greatest thing about Haikyuu is that it pays off foreshadowings perfectly. Please remember Atsumu's line "I am gonna be setting to you one day, Shoyo-kun" 🥰 Wishing the movie would be released soon there. It is literally amazing!
You NEED TO WATCH "Run with the Wind". This is one of the best sport animes i've whatched. Its about running and characters are in college. So its more dense than haikyuu. But this is perfect

Haikyuu was the first anime i ever watched. It has been few years since i rewatched the show but watching and reliving some of the moments which made me fall in love with the show with you guys was so nostalgic and heartwarming. I’m so gonna miss this 😭
Best haikyu reactors ever, here my top 3 characters overall (it contains some really unpopular opinions haha): 1. Kuroo, I just love the vibes he has, his authority and his presence when he’s in scene, the perfect captain imo (you’ll understand after the movie), also best trash talker ever hands down 2. Tsukky, my absolutely favorite karasuno player, his scream in s3e4 is still may favorite scene in all the series (and I also read the manga), best side character development, he gave me chills the most times during the serie 3. Bokuto, just love my dumb badass ace, the dynamic with kuroo always stomps, but the charisma he has and the perseverance in his goal make me appreciate even more his rare serious moments. I know, only 1 karasuno player is strange, if I was to choose only between them I would say 1.Tsukky 2.Noya 3.Coach Ukai (ep8 scream and the “we don’t need any miracle”…I just love his wisdom) MANGA ONLY… Post time skip hinata slams into my karasuno top 3 over noya and ukai, top development for me, but Tsukky still n.1, kuroo still the best overall
I teared up hearing Ange's OP cover knowing its the last episode 🥲🥲 My top 3: - Suga (personality) - Kenma (playstyle) - Kageyama (overall volleyball baka xD) (Thats not at all related to the fact that I used to play as a setter 🥸) Fav rival: Atsumu (wanted to crush Karasuno but still respected the hell out of Hinata)
And now my favoritt anime is done/ on wait untill the movie comes. I have loved seing ur reaction to this amazing piece of art. My 3 favoritt characters are: 1. Nishinoya: Have loved him from 1st moment we see him. And he is just a big ball off crazy. He is just such a fun character. And I love him so much. One off my favoritt Anime character off all time. 2. Hinata: Probably my 2nd favoritt mc off all time behind Lelouch. He is just that Great. His character development is just the best. And i have now watched Haikyuu 4 times. And I love him more for each time i watch. He is just a big ball off sunshine and the sunshine off the team. The way he goes from being a player who only cared about spiking to a player wanting to do everything and his love for vollyball just got more and more. I Just love or little Orange shrimp so much. My number 3 is Tendo but I am taking this as my 3 favoritt Karasuno players. 3. All off them. I actually can't deside. I have switch between all off them. I really love all off them so much and i know if I chose one know i will want to switch it in a min and do that too often. Only Nishinoya and Hinata i know are top 2. Rest off them are in a close figth for 3th. So I will just give it to all off them. Rival: Tendo. He is my 3th favoritt. Don't know why. But from the moment he was shown i loved him. He is a bit diffrent from everyone else. He is a crazy fun player. The way he played volleyball and just his humor is so amazing. And ofcourse his song he made his godtier. Also how much he wanted to play Hinata at the 1st grade training camp and the kinda sadness when he was not going to and the fact he wanted to help him out was also fantastic. honorable mention is Bokuto and Also every other character. Also thank u for this amazing series and i look forward to the movies. And I will recomend watching Mashle: magic and mucles as ur next anime. My top 3 are Daichi, Ushijima and Kita in no particular order, they all share 1st place in my heart. I do also love Sakusa, Hirugami (you've only seen him off court so far) and Akaashi.
Don’t think it has to do with Kageyama, genuinely I think it’s plot armour that Karasuno won. Atsumu was a way better setter throughout their match, and they had stronger Middle’s, Libero, and Aran.
It's sad to reach the end here, but I can't wait for whenever the movie comes out! Haikyuu is a beautiful anime with great writing and amazing character development. You can really tell how much work and love was put into Haikyuu. Since you guys are finished with Haikyuu, I might have a few suggestions for you. If you want another sports anime, I'd highly suggest Kuroko's Basketball. It came out before Haikyuu and has a few similarities that I've noticed. The writing isn't as good as Haikyuu, but it's still a really good and hype sports anime. (I'd also suggest Yuri on Ice, but it's quite different from Haikyuu and I'm not sure how much you would like it). If you want more of the friendship vibe, I'd suggest Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail is hands down my favorite anime, and goes down deep into the friendship trope. It's geared more towards fantasy and magic than sports of course, but there's always a new battle to be fought. Fairy Tail is also has my favorite soundtrack of all time, including all the openings and themes. I'm not 100% sure that Fairy Tail would be too up your alley, but I'd at least suggest watching the trailer or something.
Thank you, guys, your Haikyuu reactions for me are up there with Sarah Pavan, which to me means that it doesn't get any better. Just wanted to mention a couple things about Haikyuu that, I think, are often overlooked. The first one is animation. There are a lot of amazingly animated animes out there, but when it comes to Haikyuu, its whole theme is not just a real-life sport, but it's also staying as close to real life as possible WHILE at the same time keeping it visually exciting for the viewers. There are no superpowers involved, no flashy but unrealistic moves like for example, in Kuroku's Basketball, so the creators had to walk a very thin line between realism and viewer experience - which in itself is quite a task to tackle. And I think they did an absolutely amazing job - the body animation, the camera sweeps, angles and shots, every muscle movement, all the metaphoric scenes, the sakuga pieces - so much detail in all of it. There are moments when the camera just sweeps across the entire court showing every player's movements in motion, and it's just breathtaking. The second thing I wanted to mention is humor. Of course, in a show like this, there has to be comic relief from time to time, and this is a common thing, but there are very few initially non-comedic shows that do such a great job with it. For example, when I watched Bleach, I gradually grew tired of the comedic reliefs using the same tropes over and over again, because they felt forced and simply stupid at a certain point - and this happens very often in anime. But Haikyuu's humor never feels forced, it always feels very natural and not overused - it's like the writer and the show creators not only have a great sense of humor but also an innate understanding of how, when and WHY it works. The more you get to know the characters, the better each joke and funny bit lands. This, coupled with amazing character writing, helps create the amazingly wholesome and feel-good atmosphere Haikyuu is so loved for. The last thing also has to do with the writing. What Haikyuu is amazing at is perspective. You always get to know other teams, other players, and get a chance to look at what's happening through their eyes. So when they lose, you're always torn apart between joy at Karasuno's win and sadness for the other team's loss. But most importantly, as the show goes on, you get to see some side characters not only cope with the loss but also learn from it and progress further - just as the main characters do. Even if it's not always the case in real life, it is so humane in its core, that the show feels even more down-to-earth and relatable. in Haikyuu, human interactions are not overexaggerated - everyone's dealing with real-world issues such as anxiety, competitiveness, cowardness, responsibility, pride, and having to move forward even after a devastating loss. So it's no wonder why some episodes are such tearjerkers even for adults watching anime for the first time. Again, thank you guys for this journey - you're a great couple with amazing on-camera chemistry and are always a blast to watch - from jokes to tears.
wait did the show explicitly mentioned they are Lev's and Tora's sisters? i noticed them cheering during Nekoma vs Sarukawa episodes and i can somehow guess the taller lady is Lev's sister because they look similar.. but other than that, i don't remember them being introduced lol or maybe my brain is just rusty

Watching your reactions to Haikyuu was an absolute blast, thank you so much for this! Favourite characters for me would be: 1 Hinata 2 Suga 3 Noya And rival characters definitely Kuroo and Bokuto, they just grew on me instantly during the Tokyo trainig camp.
It has been a journey. After 89 episodes, I really felt like I had someone with me, watching this has been fun. After some morning and night binging, some days I skipped school just to stay at home playing games and watching youtube videos, but yea, everything must come to an end. Everything was perfect, and compared to other reactors that I've watched, I can say that you guys were the smartest and paid attention to details a lot, you guys even predicted so many moments. Your reactions are perfect, but there's some things that I'm disappointed about funny enough. As a Hinata lover this is important to me, first is not giving Hinata enough praise from the previous seasons, especially him being a decoy, him being the scoring machine, and him getting the most growth since hes previous years spent alone without proper coaching. But I understand, hinata wasn't on your top favorite then so I guess that's answer it. In most reactors I watched, they gave not just the spiker a praise but also hinata decoy someone that led to that spike. Also you didn't pick and emphasize on how karasuno changed from too much relying to their monster quick to a team that can do a lot and only keeping that quick as other weapon. And the last is that you didn't think of how the Inarazaki lose, is like them when they lost to Seijoh using that quick. I was really expecting that you guys would pick on that, especially since you like how Tsukki narrates that last part about speed. Other than that, everything was perfect. Next I will be rewatching aot for 20th times through your playlist, goodluck too me. Edit: I forgot to add, my favorite thing in this playlist is how Ange changed from roasting other team like, he wants them to lose badly or something but also keep saying that he knows, because people keep saying that in this anime there is no enemy so you can't hate other team. And later he stopped doing that and started to like the other team, ties with how others keep telling him from the first season 😂

Absolute epicnes. I've really loved your reactions to Haikyuu, all your emotions are relatable and so enjoyable to feel this again. I've played volleyball in highschool and then in college, and the anime started when i also was the only person in the men volleyball team (almost the same as the start of the show) so it was really helpful to keep my motivation. I wanted to do a recomendation! i also play guitar (since i was 11yo) and love music so much, and in this show as you could hear the music is top, so i recomend you to listen the composer Yuki Hayashi, in any moment you feel down or need a little bit of relief to your feelings. (i know that many people in the coments have recomended this but i wanted to join aswell!) I wanted to congratulate you both Ange and Carlie, you are natural, genuine and lovable people. Can't believe I'm this early! I love Haikyuu so much. It's my main entertainment now: watching reaction channels who watches haikyuu. I love it when Ange is bigging up Tanaka. Kage was fantastic! The libero of the other team, sickening, though his reaction to the loss... Aughh... Carlie tearing up and crying for the third years... Haikyuu is not a weeping show. It's a show thats so-wholesome-it-makes-me-cry-sometimes type of show.

I just want fans of the anime to be able to properly witness the rest of the story too! But I'm looking forward to the movies anyways :D
My top 3 favourites are. 1. Oikawa- He's really relatable to me and I also I love his character writing. For people who have watched the character analysis "Curse of the ordinary." They know what I'm talking about. I love him. 2. Miya Atsumu- I just love his raw passion for the game. 3. Kita- Again I just love what he represents. My favourite karasuno character is Hinata followed by Kageyama. Both of them are one of the best rivals in the series.
I hope that the movie is released immediately abroad. And we Japanese makes an effort to have they make an anime after 2 movies to have a producer save a production expense on watching the movie many times. (I know some Haikyu fans watching the movie more than 5 times already)
First movie already launched on Japan last month (February 2024), and already beat movies like Demon Slayer on sales. Dunno when it will launch on other countries, much less on streaming
Loved your Haikyuu reactions! Had me looking forward to the highlight eps so much and it basically being a rewatch of my own and a fave with added stuff especially since I love the commentary you guys give at the end! Anyway here's my top 5 Haikyuu characters, though I HAVE read the manga but there won't be any spoilers Insurmountable number 1: Kageyama, shit man he's just the GOAT, he was the reason i wanted to see the reaction 4x23 so damn much Aand honestly i could just say way too much about him so I'll just leave it at this for now Number 2: Hinata, this is pretty easy, though actually I wasnt too high of him at first, he shot up A LOT through various rewatches and rereads he's just such a good character man and is the perfect MC for the show Number 3: Bokuto, if vibes was ever the character he's the dude man. Every scene of him either makes me crack up or inspire the hell out of me he truly is one of a kind Number 4: Hoshiumi, no spoilers but yall aint ready for the goat Number 5: Atsumu, good mix between arrogant and playful, this dude surprises me every time and his personality is just way too cool, helps that Inarizaki vs Karasuno is my favorite nationals match in the series. Just gonna say we aint done with him. HM: Tsukishima and Asahi are basically tied for me in 6th place, with Oikawa following them That's all and I will definitely be waiting for the reaction to the movie!
4:08 Actually this is the 1st time the twins used the freak quick as a back attack. Atsumu intended to try this as a surprise attack. That's why Tsukki narrates that almost everyone in Karasuno flinched as they saw what the twins intended. But it was only Hinata and Kageyama that didn't hesitate. These 2 knew that the twins are capable to do the freak quick back attack version, and were already on the look out for it, because that's also what Hinata and Kageyama probably would have done. If anything "what always worked for them [twins]" was their bravery/foolishness/recklessness. Fortune favors the brave AND the foolish. Because the twins are well trained and skilled, their recklessness can turn tides. This time though, Hinata and Kageyama were just as zoned as they were.
Ahhh man, this is sad! Guys, thank you so much for the incredible energy in the comment section. We fell in love with Haikyuu and have really loved sharing our experience with you all. Hands down, the best anime community there is! Let’s keep being inspired by these amazing characters. Heyy guyss, i would like to give you a recommendation to react The First Slam Dunk Movie by Takehiko Inoue. It's one of the best sports manga and anime of all time. This show is on same level with Haikyuu and maybe arguably better than Haikyuu. In fact, the author of Haikyuu was inspired by Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk Writer's). The animation is on another level, It's very good at giving the impression of real basketball movements. More importantly, I want to know from your perspective about The First Slam Dunk Movie. Astumu telling Hinata that he will be setting to him one day was such an underrated moment. From Hinata asking anyone and everyone to set for him... to see one of the best setters we've seen on this show acknowledge his skills was so rewarding to watch!

It's not Hinata skills necesserily, before the match he even says Hinata sucks directly to Kageyama.
Sure Hinata showed us improvement during the match, and Atsumu saw that. But I got that he was talking about how Hinata were so willing to spike the settings no matter how it was, that he was the one pushing Kageyama to his limits. And as a setter himself, Tsumu respects that, and sees as a challenge aswell.

Started with 0 knowledge of the sport and 0 reasons to compromise with the club and yet he has organized almost all the practices and events that led Karasuno to its key moments and tremendous opportunity for improvement, and i bet he's still underpaid as a regular professor.
And he's not done yet.
Don't know if you've realized it yet, but the moment Hinata became really hooked on volleyball wasn't a powerful spike he's always been obsessed about, it's actually a solid receive.
Is no one going to mention how Ange switched back to the first ever OP of Haikyuu in the intro???? MY TEARS WELLED UP SO QUICK HOLY SHIT. *Imagination* will always be so nostalgic to all the Haikyuu fans and I'm so happy that they did the same as the episode and brought it back with the final episode of season 4😭😭

Been here since arcane too! I love these guys!! Also yes!!! The manga is soooooo worth it. It's also in my top 3 manga of all time but i get a lot of hate for putting haikyuu in top 3 but it is tho because it's as realistic as life gets but still so hopeful and motivational.

Long time Channel watcher, long time Haikyuu fan. Here is my list!
Top 3 from Karasuno:
1: Hinata. I think the main reason for Hinata being so high is his entire character development from season 1 episode 1 is beautiful. He goes from just wanting to spike a ball and being the next Little Giant, to learning mid-air battles with the help of Ukai and Kageyama, to learning the beauty of a good receive and pass. There are lots of video essays on youtube that go really in-depth on this, and it really makes you love Hinata.
2: Sugawara. I know a lot of people like Sugawara, but he's not a starter so him being top 3 may not be particularly popular. My favorite thing about Suga is that he ISN'T a starter. He still stays as a 3rd year to play for the team despite it cutting into his university prep time, he still gives 110%, is there to mentally support the team, and all around he just does all he can to be that positive influence the team needs when they are feeling down or playing rough.
3: Coach Ukai. Really unpopular pick here, but my god do I love coach Ukai. I got into Haikyuu because I was a professional League of Legends coach, and someone said my coaching style was similar to his (Season 1 was airing live at the time), so I had to go watch the show and see what they were talking about and got hooked. He has his growth as a coach, from being begged to join because of his family name to wanting to watch them grow after the first Nekoma practice match. He used to be a player himself but wasn't good enough to go pro despite how much he loves the game, so went to coaching instead, and all of that really heavily hits home with me for both Ice Hockey and League of Legends. Every coach from any sport should conduct themselves the way he does in this show.
And finally, my favorite rival:
Bokuto. The last scene of Bokuto, in Season 4 Episode 25, shows his glaring passion to win. Again, another character I relate to heavily. When I played Ice Hockey as a teenager, all I wanted was to win, and I was pretty good for a while after being fairly bad. I had my "moment" in Hockey that really got me hooked, just like Bokuto did with his line shot that he mentions to Tsuki. The intensity and love for volleyball is so underrated from Bokuto, he doesn't care who he's against and oftentimes would rather face the stronger opponent and have to push himself to the extreme every time than face a weaker opponent on paper and not have to level-up during the game.
Thank you both for watching this through and loving a series that I hold so dear to my heart. I haven't commented on any other of your videos, as I'm not often a youtube commenter, but watching you watch my favorite anime has been incredible. Those two girls were nekoma supporters and the player's family..the tall blonde is sister of Lev and small one is younger sis of taketora(tanaka twin) you have seen them in the nekoma match episode.
The girls at the end where Lev and Yamamoto's sisters (Alisa and Akane) from the OVAs. People seem to forget them but that was Saeko's first time meeting them. Also Akane is captain of Nekoma's cheer squad which was said in the OVA so we may see some tension in the cheer stands.
Haikyuu is the only anime which if you do a re-watch after 2 years, I will still watch it. As the Haikyuu fans know, the real love for Haikyuu develops after multiple re-watches. ❤❤❤
My top 3
1. Kita, I love him for what you guys loved him for as well, him being so serious all the time made me really like him once he showed that more human side of him where he gets emotional from getting noticed and earning his spot as a captain and also him being proud of his team after the loss really showed how much he truly cared and loved his team.
2. Atsumu, I really love his dedication to his craft (showed especially in the scene where he explains why he sets with his all of his fingers instead of just a simple underhanded set) and how he has the skills to prove his confidence.
3. Noya or Kageyama, Kageyama is also like Atsumu really dedicated to his craft but he unfortunately I like Atsumu's character design and personality better 😂and for Noya is his dedication to his role and how relatable he is for me.

My heart is both fulfilled and sunken. My 50th Rewatch of Haikyuu Anime was undoubtedly the best rewatch yet. I loved your reactions to the series thoroughly and I am damn sure I will miss them. Thank you for being such a great source of entertainment to me for the past 7 months ( side note :- I initially wrote 3 months as I thought it had been that long but I went to check and realized that IT'S BEEN 7 WHOLE MONTHS MY GOD. I know you guys like to keep things fresh around here just like most of the reactions channels but trust me when I say this, Haikyuu only gets better with every rewatch. Haikyuu was the first anime i ever watched. It has been few years since i rewatched the show but watching and reliving some of the moments which made me fall in love with the show with you guys was so nostalgic and heartwarming.

Best haikyu reactors ever, here my top 3 characters overall (it contains some really unpopular opinions haha):
1. Kuroo, I just love the vibes he has, his authority and his presence when he’s in scene, the perfect captain imo (you’ll understand after the movie), also best trash talker ever hands down
2. Tsukky, my absolutely favorite karasuno player, his scream in s3e4 is still may favorite scene in all the series (and I also read the manga), best side character development, he gave me chills the most times during the serie
3. Bokuto, just love my dumb badass ace, the dynamic with kuroo always stomps, but the charisma he has and the perseverance in his goal make me appreciate even more his rare serious moments.
I know, only 1 karasuno player is strange, if I was to choose only between them I would say 1.Tsukky 2.Noya 3.Coach Ukai (ep8 scream and the “we don’t need any miracle”…I just love his wisdom)

I really love all off them so much and i know if I chose one know i will want to switch it in a min and do that too often. Only Nishinoya and Hinata i know are top 2. Rest off them are in a close figth for 3th. So I will just give it to all off them.
Rival: Tendo. He is my 3th favoritt. Don't know why. But from the moment he was shown i loved him. He is a bit diffrent from everyone else. He is a crazy fun player. The way he played volleyball and just his humor is so amazing. And ofcourse his song he made his godtier. Also how much he wanted to play Hinata at the 1st grade training camp and the kinda sadness when he was not going to and the fact he wanted to help him out was also fantastic.

My top 3 are Daichi, Ushijima and Kita in no particular order, they all share 1st place in my heart. I do also love Sakusa, Hirugami (you've only seen him off court so far) and Akaashi.
I also agree, Kags was balling out of his mind actually . Atsumu was so close, like he couldn't have done anymore but Kageyama was in a different zone
Don’t think it has to do with Kageyama, genuinely I think it’s plot armour that Karasuno won. Atsumu was a way better setter throughout their match, and they had stronger Middle’s, Libero, and Aran.
It's sad to reach the end here, but I can't wait for whenever the movie comes out! Haikyuu is a beautiful anime with great writing and amazing character development. You can really tell how much work and love was put into Haikyuu.
Since you guys are finished with Haikyuu, I might have a few suggestions for you.
If you want another sports anime, I'd highly suggest Kuroko's Basketball. It came out before Haikyuu and has a few similarities that I've noticed. The writing isn't as good as Haikyuu, but it's still a really good and hype sports anime.
(I'd also suggest Yuri on Ice, but it's quite different from Haikyuu and I'm not sure how much you would like it).
If you want more of the friendship vibe, I'd suggest Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail is hands down my favorite anime, and goes down deep into the friendship trope. It's geared more towards fantasy and magic than sports of course, but there's always a new battle to be fought. Fairy Tail is also has my favorite soundtrack of all time, including all the openings and themes. I'm not 100% sure that Fairy Tail would be too up your alley, but I'd at least suggest watching the trailer or something.

Thank you, guys, your Haikyuu reactions for me are up there with Sarah Pavan, which to me means that it doesn't get any better. Just wanted to mention a couple things about Haikyuu that, I think, are often overlooked.
The first one is animation. There are a lot of amazingly animated animes out there, but when it comes to Haikyuu, its whole theme is not just a real-life sport, but it's also staying as close to real life as possible WHILE at the same time keeping it visually exciting for the viewers. There are no superpowers involved, no flashy but unrealistic moves like for example, in Kuroku's Basketball, so the creators had to walk a very thin line between realism and viewer experience - which in itself is quite a task to tackle. And I think they did an absolutely amazing job - the body animation, the camera sweeps, angles and shots, every muscle movement, all the metaphoric scenes, the sakuga pieces - so much detail in all of it. There are moments when the camera just sweeps across the entire court showing every player's movements in motion, and it's just breathtaking.
The second thing I wanted to mention is humor. Of course, in a show like this, there has to be comic relief from time to time, and this is a common thing, but there are very few initially non-comedic shows that do such a great job with it. For example, when I watched Bleach, I gradually grew tired of the comedic reliefs using the same tropes over and over again, because they felt forced and simply stupid at a certain point - and this happens very often in anime. But Haikyuu's humor never feels forced, it always feels very natural and not overused - it's like the writer and the show creators not only have a great sense of humor but also an innate understanding of how, when and WHY it works. The more you get to know the characters, the better each joke and funny bit lands. This, coupled with amazing character writing, helps create the amazingly wholesome and feel-good atmosphere Haikyuu is so loved for.
The last thing also has to do with the writing. What Haikyuu is amazing at is perspective. You always get to know other teams, other players, and get a chance to look at what's happening through their eyes. So when they lose, you're always torn apart between joy at Karasuno's win and sadness for the other team's loss. But most importantly, as the show goes on, you get to see some side characters not only cope with the loss but also learn from it and progress further - just as the main characters do. Even if it's not always the case in real life, it is so humane in its core, that the show feels even more down-to-earth and relatable. in Haikyuu, human interactions are not overexaggerated - everyone's dealing with real-world issues such as anxiety, competitiveness, cowardness, responsibility, pride, and having to move forward even after a devastating loss. So it's no wonder why some episodes are such tearjerkers even for adults watching anime for the first time.
Again, thank you guys for this journey - you're a great couple with amazing on-camera chemistry and are always a blast to watch - from jokes to tears.

It has been a journey. After 89 episodes, I really felt like I had someone with me, watching this has been fun. After some morning and night binging, some days I skipped school just to stay at home playing games and watching youtube videos, but yea, everything must come to an end. Everything was perfect, and compared to other reactors that I've watched, I can say that you guys were the smartest and paid attention to details a lot, you guys even predicted so many moments. Your reactions are perfect, but there's some things that I'm disappointed about funny enough. As a Hinata lover this is important to me, first is not giving Hinata enough praise from the previous seasons, especially him being a decoy, him being the scoring machine, and him getting the most growth since hes previous years spent alone without proper coaching. But I understand, hinata wasn't on your top favorite then so I guess that's answer it. In most reactors I watched, they gave not just the spiker a praise but also hinata decoy someone that led to that spike. Also you didn't pick and emphasize on how karasuno changed from too much relying to their monster quick to a team that can do a lot and only keeping that quick as other weapon. And the last is that you didn't think of how the Inarazaki lose, is like them when they lost to Seijoh using that quick. I was really expecting that you guys would pick on that, especially since you like how Tsukki narrates that last part about speed. Other than that, everything was perfect. Next I will be rewatching aot for 20th times through your playlist, goodluck too me.
Edit: I forgot to add, my favorite thing in this playlist is how Ange changed from roasting other team like, he wants them to lose badly or something but also keep saying that he knows, because people keep saying that in this anime there is no enemy so you can't hate other team. And later he stopped doing that and started to like the other team, ties with how others keep telling him from the first season 😂

Absolute epicnes. I've really loved your reactions to Haikyuu, all your emotions are relatable and so enjoyable to feel this again. I've played volleyball in highschool and then in college, and the anime started when i also was the only person in the men volleyball team (almost the same as the start of the show) so it was really helpful to keep my motivation.
I wanted to do a recomendation! i also play guitar (since i was 11yo) and love music so much, and in this show as you could hear the music is top, so i recomend you to listen the composer Yuki Hayashi, in any moment you feel down or need a little bit of relief to your feelings. (i know that many people in the coments have recomended this but i wanted to join aswell!)

So those to ladies at the end you were confused about are from the Nekoma OVA before Season 4. The tall one is Liev's older sister and the short one is Taketora's sister.
15:48 Those girls are the sisters of a couple of Nekoma players. We've seen them a couple of times. The tall one is Lev's sister, and the other one is Yamamoto's (though I had to look that up to remember whose sister she was specifically).
My Top 3 are Hinata, Bokuto and Hirugami Sachiro (we've met him in S4).

My top 3 favourites are.
1. Oikawa- He's really relatable to me and I also I love his character writing. For people who have watched the character analysis "Curse of the ordinary." They know what I'm talking about. I love him.
2. Miya Atsumu- I just love his raw passion for the game.
3. Kita- Again I just love what he represents.
My favourite karasuno character is Hinata followed by Kageyama. Both of them are one of the best rivals in the series.
I hope that the movie is released immediately abroad. And we Japanese makes an effort to have they make an anime after 2 movies to have a producer save a production expense on watching the movie many times. (I know some Haikyu fans watching the movie more than 5 times already)
First movie already launched on Japan last month (February 2024), and already beat movies like Demon Slayer on sales. Dunno when it will launch on other countries, much less on streaming

Loved your Haikyuu reactions! Had me looking forward to the highlight eps so much and it basically being a rewatch of my own and a fave with added stuff especially since I love the commentary you guys give at the end! Anyway here's my top 5 Haikyuu characters, though I HAVE read the manga but there won't be any spoilers
Insurmountable number 1: Kageyama, shit man he's just the GOAT, he was the reason i wanted to see the reaction 4x23 so damn much Aand honestly i could just say way too much about him so I'll just leave it at this for now
Number 2: Hinata, this is pretty easy, though actually I wasnt too high of him at first, he shot up A LOT through various rewatches and rereads he's just such a good character man and is the perfect MC for the show
Number 3: Bokuto, if vibes was ever the character he's the dude man. Every scene of him either makes me crack up or inspire the hell out of me he truly is one of a kind
Number 4: Hoshiumi, no spoilers but yall aint ready for the goat
Number 5: Atsumu, good mix between arrogant and playful, this dude surprises me every time and his personality is just way too cool, helps that Inarizaki vs Karasuno is my favorite nationals match in the series. Just gonna say we aint done with him.
HM: Tsukishima and Asahi are basically tied for me in 6th place, with Oikawa following them

4:08 Actually this is the 1st time the twins used the freak quick as a back attack. Atsumu intended to try this as a surprise attack. That's why Tsukki narrates that almost everyone in Karasuno flinched as they saw what the twins intended. But it was only Hinata and Kageyama that didn't hesitate. These 2 knew that the twins are capable to do the freak quick back attack version, and were already on the look out for it, because that's also what Hinata and Kageyama probably would have done.
If anything "what always worked for them [twins]" was their bravery/foolishness/recklessness. Fortune favors the brave AND the foolish. Because the twins are well trained and skilled, their recklessness can turn tides. This time though, Hinata and Kageyama were just as zoned as they were.
